FUNCTIONAL TRAINING EQUIPMENT WITH MULTIPLE MOVEMENT PLANES FOR BACK EXERCISES
A back exercise machine includes: a resistance element; a user support; a first movement element, the first movement element having: a column; and a first connecting element having a pivot point such that the user support is able to pivot about a first axis associated with the first connecting element, wherein the first connecting element is movably coupled to the column such that the first connecting element is able to move along a path defined by the column; and a second movement element, the second movement element having: a rail; and a second connecting element having a pivot point such that the user support is able to pivot about a second axis associated with the second connecting element, wherein the second connecting element is movably coupled to the rail such that the second connecting element is able to move along a path defined by the rail.
Core exercise apparatus and methods
A dual-mode exercise apparatus may include an articulating arm assembly coupled through a joint to a support assembly. In an illustrative embodiment, the arm assembly may include a seat centrally mounted above a ball-and-socket joint and a stabilizer member for the hands and/or feet of the user. In a first mode of operation a user sits on the seat and uses his or her core muscles to articulate the seat on the ball-and-socket joint against the resistance provided by, for instance, weights mounted on distal portions of the arm assembly. In certain embodiments the apparatus may further provide a second mode of operation which simulates rowing a kayak. In a corresponding illustrative embodiment a user sits in a second seat positioned rearward of the arm assembly and the arm assembly includes handle members. In operation the user articulates the handles in a manner akin to rowing a kayak.
TRICEPS PRESS EXERCISE MACHINE WITH A MOVING USER SUPPORT
An exercise machine for performing triceps press exercises, including a moving user support that supports the user in a seated position. The exercise machine includes a linkage assembly that allows the user support to tilt as the user performs a triceps press exercise. As the user extends his or her arms from the exercise starting position to the exercise ending position, the user support frameand thus the user's torsoreclines progressively backwards. The user's natural reaction to this reclining sensation is to bring his or her head forward, which encourages the user to plant his or her lower back firmly into a stable position against the back pad and in turn reduces the risk of injury associated with excessively arching of the lower back.
Exercising apparatus
An apparatus is disclosed for enabling an operator to exercise comprising a frame having a body, a base and a top. A load is positioned on the frame for providing a resistive force. A press is positioned on the frame for displacement by the operator. A linkage joins the load with the press for displacing the load upon displacement of the press by the operator. An arm extends between a support end and a user end. A support pivot secures the support end of the arm to the top of the frame for pivoting the arm about the frame. A user interface inputs and outputs data. A user pivot securing the user interface to the user end of the arm for pivoting the user interface about the arm.
DEVICES FOR EXERCISE APPARATUSES
A device for an exercise apparatus includes a linear adjustment system and a sensor coupled to the linear adjustment system. The linear adjustment system varies a length of the device thereby fixing the loading interface of the exercise apparatus at any one of a plurality of functional positions in the functional range of the loading interface. The sensor measures the force exerted on the linear adjustment system. A correlating mechanism is used to correlate the force exerted on the linear adjustment system with the force exerted on the loading interface. The device allows exercisers to exert high or maximum loads in any one of a plurality of positions throughout their entire range of motion without first passing through a weak range of motion.
Machine for sports training
The invention relates to a machine for sports training, which comprises a frame pivotably connected to a lever actuated by a user's arms, the at least one lever being connected to two main coupling elements situated parallel to each other, such that when the elements move, they describe an identical path at the same time, transmitting the movement of the at least one lever to resistance means. The machine provides continuous resistance to the actuation of the lever by the user, and a moment of inertia that prevents stops and jerks at the end of the stroke of the lever. The machine is provided with means for supporting the user, such as a platform, solidly fixed to the frame such that while the user trains the upper body, he or she can also train the lower body, at will, by performing exercises on the platform.
Shoulder exercise machine
A weight resistance exercise apparatus for the external and internal muscles of the shoulder having a multiple plane unit with a rotating axis armature for exercise in intervening planes, a primary armature, a secondary armature connected at a proximate end to the primary armature and a plurality of mode selection disks disposed on the secondary armature.
Physical Therapy Device and Methods for Use Thereof
The present application relates to a physical therapy device to strengthen and prevent atrophy in muscles for use while seated in a chair or a wheelchair or while lying in a bed. The physical therapy device includes a back rest; right and left upper arm rests coupled to the back rest by a first connector; and right and left lower arm rests coupled to the right and left upper arm rests, respectively, by a second connector. Each lower arm rest comprises a handle. Each upper arm rest is configured to move towards the back rest at the first connector to fold flush against the back rest. The physical therapy device further comprises an extender coupled to the back rest; right and left upper leg units coupled to the extender by a third connector; and right and left lower leg units coupled to the right and left upper leg units, respectively, by a fourth connector. Each lower leg unit comprises a stirrup.
MULTI-PURPOSE EXERCISE BENCH WITH VERSATILE RESISTANCE ACCESSORY
