An exercise apparatus for a wheelchair,

Wheelchair-accessible exercise system

Various systems, processes, and techniques may be used to achieve a wheelchair-accessible exercise system. In particular implementations, a wheelchair-accessible exercise system may allow a user to perform strength and cardiovascular exercises without having to reposition his/her wheelchair. For example, a user may perform seven different exercises without moving his/her chair, or possibly even the trunk of their body. Thus, the exercise system may provide a comprehensive workout without requiring repositioning of the wheelchair, which can be quite cumbersome to those that are mobility challenged. Moreover, the exercise system may be adjustable and safe.

Exercising apparatus

An apparatus is disclosed for enabling an operator to exercise comprising a frame having a body, a base and a top. A load is positioned on the frame for providing a resistive force. A press is positioned on the frame for displacement by the operator. A linkage joins the load with the press for displacing the load upon displacement of the press by the operator. An arm extends between a support end and a user end. A support pivot secures the support end of the arm to the top of the frame for pivoting the arm about the frame. A user interlace inputs and outputs data. A user pivot securing the user interface to the user end of the arm for pivoting the user interface about the arm.

ADJUSTABLE REFORMER

An adjustable reformer for exercising is provided. The reformer includes a frame, a carriage slidably mounted to the horizontal frame, and at least one resistance element connected to the carriage. A cord connects the carriage to at least one lower guide and at least one upper guide. Pulling the cord causes movement of the carriage along the frame against resistance provided by the resistance element. The guides can be height adjustable. The reformer can include a cord retraction system. Related methods of exercise are also provided.

Hydraulic bench health machine

This disclosure relates to a health machine including: a main body constructed with a bench frame, leg frame and hammer frame; a bench installed on the bench frame; a leg extension weight training part and an arm curl weight training part installed on the leg frame; a hammer bench weight training part installed on the hammer frame; an intensity adjustment rod connected to the bench frame; an intensity adjustment band movably fixed to the intensity adjustment rod; a hydraulic cylinder connected to the bench frame and to the intensity adjustment band; a leg bar connected to the intensity adjustment rod and to the leg extension weight training part; an elastic member fixed to the bench frame and to the leg extension weight training part; an intensity adjustment band movably fixed to the intensity adjustment rod; and a hydraulic cylinder connected to the hammer frame and to the intensity adjustment band.

Exercise machine having elastic exercise resistance cables

There is provided an exercise machine. The machine includes an upright mounting assembly having a top and a bottom spaced-apart from the top. The machine includes a seat operatively connected to the mounting assembly. The machine includes a first pair of space-apart pulley assemblies rotatably mounted adjacent to the top of the mounting assembly. The machine includes a second pair of spaced-apart pulley assemblies rotatably mounted adjacent to the bottom of the mounting assembly. The machine includes a plurality of exercise resistance cables connected at proximal end portions to the mounting assembly and extending around and outward from the pulley assemblies.

Exercise machine with variable resistance system

The exercise machine with a variable resistance system includes a frame, an exercise implement movably connected to the frame, a main shaft rotatably connected to the frame, a main connector attached between the main shaft and the exercise implement, a plurality of resistance assemblies and a plurality of actuation assemblies adapted for selectively engaging or disengaging at least one of the plurality of resistance assemblies with respect to the main shaft. The plurality of resistance assemblies apply a total level of rotational resistance against the main shaft based on which of the plurality of resistance assemblies are engaged with the main shaft by the plurality of actuation assemblies.

Exercise machine with lifting arm

An exercise machine has a main frame and a user support movably mounted relative to the main frame for movement between a start position and an end position during an exercise. At least one user engagement device is movably mounted relative to the main frame for engagement and actuation by a user during an exercise, and a connecting linkage translates movement of the user engagement device to movement of the user support. A lifting arm is movably mounted relative to the main frame and associated with at least one of the user support, user engagement device, and connecting linkage so as to move during an exercise. A load associated with the lifting arm provides exercise resistance.

A resistance exercise system having, in certain embodiments, a DC power supply system, a DC motor connected to the DC power supply system, a drive section connected to a drive element, a resistance delivery element connected to the drive element, and an extractable exercise resistance delivery section, a predetermined variable resistance section intermediate the DC power supply system and DC motor, an electrical condition sensor, and a variable resistance section control in communication with the electrical condition sensor and the predetermined variable resistance section. In some embodiments, the resistance exercise system includes a computing facility providing the ability to configure the exercise system to provide predetermined static or variable exercise resistance during exercise, and for example, during a positive or negative exercise stroke. Some embodiments allow users to create and, if desired, display varying and complex resistance exercise routines with or without use of resistance weights.

Devices for exercise apparatuses

A computing system for determining osteogenic loading from an exercise apparatus for performing an exercise is provided. The exercise apparatus includes a loading interface, a frame, a linear adjustment system interposing between and fixedly coupled to the loading interface and the frame, and a sensor coupled to the linear adjustment system. A position of the loading interface of the exercise apparatus is adjusted through a movement of the linear adjustment system at one or more intermediate positions of a plurality of functional positions of the loading interface. A force exerted by a subject on the loading interface at the position in the one or more intermediate positions is received. A measurement of the force exerted by the subject on the loading interface at the position in the one or more intermediate positions from the sensor is obtained. A corresponding osteogenic loading for the force exerted by the subject is determined.
