Terminal and manufacturing method of terminal
A terminal (10) is to be connected to an electric wire (W) which includes a core wire made of a fiber conductor (1). In a state of inserting a bare part of the fiber conductor in a barrel portion (11) of the terminal, the barrel portion is swaged while a swage amount is gradually increased as progressing in an electric wire insertion direction, which gradually expands the barrel portion in a width direction (D).
Apparatus having a connector with isolated conductive paths
An apparatus includes a pair of connectors and two or more conductive paths formed in each connector in the pair of connectors. The pair of connectors includes a first connector and a second connector. The first connector is substantially more flexible than the second connector, and each connector in the pair of connectors includes a bulkhead. Each of the two or more conductive paths in each connector in the pair of connectors is electrically isolated from all other conductive elements in the respective connector. A shroud may be located between the bulkheads and disposed about the pair of connectors when the pair of connectors are coupled together electrically.
INTERFACE STRUCTURE
An interface structure enables a high reliable electrical connection between a socket and a circuit board. An adaptor for the socket includes a plate 210 and a base 220. A plurality of through holes 212 are formed in the plate 210 and a plurality of through holes 222 that align with the plurality of through hole 212 are formed in the base 220. A metal plating is applied to the inner wall of the through hole 222 and a coil spring 230 is received in the through hole 222. One end of the coil spring 230 is connected to a terminal of a socket 100 inserted from the through hole 212 and the other end as a movable contact portion 236 is connected to an electrode of the circuit board 300.
Crimped terminal
A crimped terminal is provided and includes a conductor, a crimped element, and a plurality of conductive particles: The conductor includes aluminum, and the crimped element is disposed around the conductor. The plurality of conductive particles include a copper alloy and are arranged between the conductor and the crimped element.
Method of manufacturing a shell assembly for an electrical connector
Methods are provided for manufacturing a shell assembly for an electrical connector. First and second shells of a shell assembly may be formed from metal sheets via a stamping process. The stamping process may produce a number of first shells attached to a section of metal sheet remaining after the stamping processa guide railwith the front end opening of the first shell being oriented at 90 degrees relative to the guide rail. A second shell may be formed and severed from a metal sheet as a result of the stamping process. One end of the first shells may be exposed after the stamping process such that the second shells may be assembled over the exposed end of the first shells to form a shell assembly. Additional operations can be performed on the shell assembly.
