BARREL FOR HAIR STYLING APPLIANCE
A barrel for a hair styling appliance, the barrel comprising: an external surface; and a heater-mounting surface inside the barrel; wherein the heater-mounting surface is integrally formed with the external surface. For example, the barrel may be formed as a single extruded metal component. Also provided is a barrel assembly comprising such a barrel, and one or more heater elements mounted on the heater-mounting surface. Also provided is a hair styling appliance (e.g. a curling tong, curling wand or hot iron brush) comprising such a barrel assembly. A heater element for a hair styling appliance is also provided, the heater element comprising a substrate having a conductive track for generating heat upon application of an electrical current thereto, and an integral temperature sensor. Manufacturing methods in respect of the above are also provided.
A HAIR STRENGTHENING APPARATUS
In one aspect, the present invention is directed to a hair straightening apparatus, comprising: two jaws (12), pivotally connected by a hinge (14); two ironing plates (16), each installed in a different jaw of the jaws, and a heating mechanism of the ironing plates; the jaws having an open state in which the ironing plates are drawn from each other, and a close state in which the ironing plates attach each other; a group of electromagnets (26) installed on one of the jaws, and a corresponding magnetic object installed in the other jaw, wherein the corresponding magnetic object is in a form of a ferromagnetic plate (38) or in a form of another group of electromagnets; an on/off button (24), for activating/deactivating electric power supply to the electromagnets, wherein the power supply is sufficient turning the jaws from the open state to the close state.
LAVA ROCK CONTAINING HAIR STYLING DEVICES
Hairstyling devices include one or more heat transmissive elements having a coating disposed thereon, the coating having ceramic and lava rock incorporated therein. The use of lava rock-containing coatings as described herein results in hairstyling devices with heat transmissive elements exhibiting enhanced heat retention, faster heat recovery, and increased ion emission. Furthermore, lava rock-containing coatings have been found more durable than equivalent heat transmissive element coatings that do not have lava rock incorporated therein.
HAIR STYLING APPLIANCES AND METHODS OF OPERATING SAME
A hair styling appliance includes first and second heating plates operatively connected for pivotal displacement relative to one another such that a hair segment positioned between them can be styled. A glide-speed sensing system generates an output having a relation to a speed with which the hair segment is displaced relative to the first and second heating plates. A glide-speed indicating system can communicate feedback to a user, based on the output, such as an indication of a glide speed of the hair styling appliance relative to the associated hair segment. A user input device can receive an input from the user regarding a hair-type classification and/or a hair-condition classification and generate a hair-related output having a relation to the input from the user. A processor communicatively coupled with the user input device can be programmed to determine a predetermined maximum treatment temperature and/or a predetermined glide speed range, based at least partially on the hair-related output from the user input device.
HEATING PLATE FOR ELECTRIC HAIR IRON HAVING SOFT SYNTHETIC RESIN INSERTED THEREIN AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAME
The present invention relates to a heating plate for an electric hair iron and a method for manufacturing the same. More specifically, the present invention relates to a heating plate for an electric hair iron having a soft synthetic resin inserted therein, wherein an aluminum heating plate having a plurality of grooves formed in a longitudinal direction on the front surface is ejected and the soft synthetic resin is inserted into the front surface and both sides of the aluminum heating plate which is in a state of being inserted into a mold such that part of the soft synthetic resin is insertedly integrated into the grooves. The soft synthetic resin is injected from the rear of the aluminum heating plate to the front surface thereof when injecting the soft synthetic resin such that a uniformly even soft synthetic resin layer is formed without generation of bubbles on the front surface by injecting. Accordingly, a hollow through-hole is formed between the grooves of the aluminum heating plate such that heat is uniformly transferred, and a ceramic coating layer is formed inside the groove such that heat is evenly transferred across the soft synthetic resin layer.
HAND HELD APPLIANCE
A hand held appliance including a fluid flow path extending between a fluid inlet and a fluid outlet and a ceramic heater within the fluid flow path wherein the fluid flow path is non-linear and the heater is non-linear. The appliance may include a housing wherein the housing houses the heater and encloses the fluid flow path, and wherein the housing is curved. The heater may be curved. The housing may include a straight section and a curved section and the heater is housed within the curved section. The heater may include at least one heating element comprising a flat ceramic plate and a conductive track. The heating element may be arcuate. The heating element may have a constant curvature.
Hair iron having a ceramic heater
A hair iron according to one example embodiment includes a first arm and a second arm movable relative to each other between an open position and a closed position. A contact surface is positioned on an exterior of the first arm for contacting hair during use. The hair iron includes a heater having a ceramic substrate and an electrical resistor material thick film printed on a surface of the ceramic substrate. The heater generates heat by applying an electric current to the electrical resistor material. The heater is positioned to supply heat to the contact surface.
ROTATING CURLING IRON
There exists a need for improvements to curling iron technology, such that different methods of design and rotation can provide better reliability and function. The present disclosure discloses a rotating curling iron which comprises a handle, a connecting seat, an electric control device and a rotating curling iron rod. The technical solution of the present disclosure may improve the reliability of the electrical connection between the handle and the rotating curling iron rod.
