Goal tender leg pad
A goaltender leg pad providing profile adjustment, toe attachment and/or toe thickness adjustment. The leg pad can include an adjuster element that configures adjacent pads at a user selected angle or configuration to provide a desired front profile of the leg pad. The leg pad can include an optionally elastic toe attachment strap joined with a foot pad and/or boot, and a redirection element slidably engaging the strap. The strap can secure the foot pad to the user's skate, and generally centrally locate the foot pad over the user's skate when the user transitions to a standing position and/or a crouching position. The leg pad can include a foot pad configured to engage the top of a user's skate. The foot pad can define a cavity within which a secondary pad can be selectively installed or removed to alter the toe thickness of the foot pad and provide desired performance.
PROTECTIVE ATHLETIC PANT
The present invention provides protective athletic pants that are constructed from a protective material and a flexible material, in optimal ratios. This invention provides durable pants that provide adequate protection without unduly restricting the movement of the wearer.
ANATOMICALLY DYNAMIC AND ERGONOMIC LEG GUARD
A leg guard includes an anterior shin protective panel positioned to cover at least a portion of a user's anterior shin region, a lateral protective panel positioned to cover at least a portion of the user's lateral lower leg region, and a medial protective panel positioned to cover at least a portion of the user's medial lower leg region. The panels are mounted on one or more flexible liners in a vertically segmented orientation to articulate with respect to one another. Additional protective panels may be included to protect a user's knee, thigh, or foot. A strap for a leg guard may include a buckle having a protrusion positioned to engage an elongated opening in the leg guard. The strap may bias the buckle into a tilted position, while raised surfaces near the elongated opening resist release or rotation of the buckle.
Composite plate for an article of footwear or equipment
A method for forming a plate includes attaching a first strand portion to a flexible substrate to form a first layer on the substrate and positioning a second strand portion on the first layer to form a second layer on the first layer in a plurality of discrete regions on the substrate. The method also includes positioning a plurality of traction elements into corresponding cavities formed into a first mold surface and positioning the substrate on the first mold surface to change a shape of the substrate. At least one of heat and pressure is applied to the first strand portion, the second strand portion, the substrate, and the traction elements to conform the substrate to the shape of the first mold surface and form the traction elements into the substrate at each of the discrete regions. The method also includes incorporating the substrate into an article of footwear.
Footwear plate
A method of forming a plate for an article of footwear is disclosed. The method includes applying a first strand portion to a base layer including positioning adjacent segments of the first strand portion to form a first layer on the base layer. The adjacent segments of the first strand portion having a greater density across a width of the plate between a medial side and a lateral side at a forefoot region of the plate than at a midfoot region of the plate and at a heel region of the plate. The method also includes applying at least one of heat and pressure to the first strand portion and to the base layer to conform the first strand portion and the base layer to a predetermined shape.
PROTECTIVE UNDERGARMENT FOR USE BY A HOCKEY PLAYER OR HOCKEY GOALTENDER
A protective undergarment comprising a waist portion comprising an elastic material and being dimensioned to be snugly worn about a waist of a body and of a wearer, a pair of leg portions comprising an elastic material and extending from the waist portion, each leg portion dimensioned to encircle a leg of the wearer's body and comprising an ankle portion comprising a cut-resistant material, and impact absorbing pads connected to a back side of each of said leg portions configured to protect a back of the wearer's legs, the impact absorbing pads comprising a lower pad to protect a calf portion of the wearer's legs.
Multi-material impact protection for contact sports
A protective device may be configured to be worn to protect a portion of a wearer's anatomy. A pliable first material may form a perimeter portion and at least one connecting portion. A rigid second material may form at least two plates retained within the perimeter portion and at least one connecting portion.
COMBAT SPORT TRAINING PAD APPARATUS
A combat training pad apparatus is disclosed and configured for providing a relatively lightweight yet effective padding for absorbing impacts. In at least one embodiment, the apparatus provides an at least one pad assembly and a cover sized and configured for substantially enclosing the at least one pad assembly therewithin. The at least one pad assembly provides an at least one air chamber configured for storing a volume of air, along with a first pad portion configured for being positioned in adjacent contact with a first surface of the air chamber.
SYSTEM AND METHOD OF ASSEMBLING A PROTECTIVE SPORTS EQUIPMENT
Partial bespoke protective sports equipment to be worn by a player engaged in a sporting activity is provided. The partial bespoke sports equipment system includes methods for acquiring, storing and processing a player's unique data, namely the anatomical features of the body part against which the partial bespoke equipment is worn. The systems also includes methods of using the player's unique data to manufacture the partial bespoke protective equipment with a partially custom formed internal padding. The system and method allows for the design and manufacture of partial bespoke protective sports equipment that is purposely designed and manufactured to substantially match the anatomical specifications of the player's body part.
