STRING HANDLER AND METHOD FOR HANDLING STRINGS USEABLE FOR GAMES
20230298430 · 2023-09-21 ·

Word games are known from for example Scrabble®. Roulette is another game having a high level of randomness to it. A disadvantage of the current games involving randomness, more specific a lot of randomness, is that the word skills of players with a strategy insight is not challenged very well. According to the invention, a string handler comprising: a random character generator for generating a random character randomly selected from a set of characters; a memory arranged for storing a string of characters selected from the set of characters, wherein the string has a minimum length of three characters, and marks associated with each character of the string; an input device for inputting at least one activation tag associated with at least one character of the string; an output device for conveying an indication to the user; a controller configured for: retrieving from the memory the string and when present the marks; receiving from the input device at least one activation tag; after receiving the at least one activation tag, receiving from the random character generator the random character; after receiving the random character, associating a mark with each character in the string if the character equals the random character, and if an activation tag was associated with the character in the string; after associating and if all characters in the string are associated with a mark, providing an indication to the output device and resetting the string; and after the preceding step, storing in memory the string and when present one or more marks.

Interactive Touch Control for a Pinball Machine

The present invention comprises an interactive touch control for a pinball machine to allow a user to interact with various settings of a pinball game. The invention further comprises an improved glass top assembly to permit lifting of the glass top via a hinge near the back box. The invention further comprises an improved mechanism for locking the glass top assembly to the cabinet and locking the playfield to the cabinet.

ELECTRONIC DEVICE FOR FACILITATING USER INTERACTIONS WITH GRAPHICAL OBJECTS PRESENTED ON A DISPLAY

An electronic device includes a display, a timer and computing hardware configured to execute a software product. Execution of the software product results in generating and rendering a graphical user interface on the display with four or more user-selectable graphical objects. Selection of a first user-selectable graphical object at a first spatial position on the graphical user interface and a movement of the selected first user-selectable graphical object along a path towards a second user-selectable graphical object at a second spatial position is detected and a position of the first user-selectable graphical object is exchanged with the position of the second user-selectable graphical object. If, during a predetermined time period, a selection of a third user-selectable graphical object and a movement of the third user-selectable graphical object towards a fourth user-selectable graphical object is detected, the positions of the third and fourth objects is exchanged.

System and method for controlling technical processes

In a method and a system for improving a user's experience with a graphical user interface corresponding to a gaming or simulation environment on an electronic device, the interface renders multiple graphical objects and user selectable options corresponding to the graphical object. The user selects one or more selectable option, and performs a touching or a swiping operation through multiple points on the display screen. The touching or swiping operation leads to deploying of multiple resources corresponding to the selected option, at different locations on the interface. For controlling the different deployed resources, the user can swipe through different regions of the display screen. The number of resources deployed at the different locations on the screen depends on certain parameters, including the pressure applied by the user on the screen. Results of the simulation can be employed to control real technical systems, for example for food production.

Bingo game application product and system related thereto

The disclosed technology is directed to methods, products and systems for streamlining the process of playing bingo. This patent is directed to a computer application whereby a computing device such as a mobile phone captures one or more likenesses of a bingo card(s) using the camera function of the device. Optical character or image recognition software and algorithms interpret and store the card(s) and corresponding characters. When characters are called for matching with the bingo cards in play, the called character is entered into the computing device. The application compares the called character to those captured by the computing device to identify instances of matches on each card in play until a winning card is identified and the player is alerted of the win, or until the game is over.

TOUCH PANEL

A touch panel includes a cover lens located at top of the touch panel, plural touch sensor units, and plural sensing channels. The touch sensor units are disposed below the cover lens and arranged in rows and columns. The touch sensor units are disposed on the sensing channels. Each of touch sensor units acquires a sensing magnitude for identifying a position of the cover lens that touched by the stylus according to signals outputted by the sensing channels. The sensing magnitude of one of the touch sensor units is composed of the signals of the adjacent sensing channels located within a vertical projection of the one of the touch sensor units.
