A dice scanner for assisting in electronic gaming is disclosed which comprises a flat scanner with a scanning surface and a processor. The scanning surface is adapted for the rolling of one or more thrown dice and the flat scanner is configured for acquiring images of the scanning surface and the dice rolling or resting on that scanning surface in real time. The processor is configured for receiving one or more acquired images of the scanning surface and deriving therefrom data relating to the dice. The dice scanner also comprises a video acquisition system and/or an audio acquisition system which are arranged relative to the scanning surface such that at least a user face and/or at least a user voice can be recorded while gaming.
METHOD, SYSTEM, AND TABLE FOR CONDUCTING A PLAYER-BANKED POKER GAME
A method of providing a player-banked poker game on a specialized table that includes providing a card playing table with a card playing surface positioned above a support surface and a plurality of buttons positioned around the card playing table and communicatively coupled to an electronic display positioned above the card playing surface. Next, wagers are placed, hole and community cards are dealt to any players participating in the player-banked poker game. After dealing the community cards, a timer is initiated, whereby any player desiring to play will be required to modulate one of the plurality of buttons to cause a visual depiction on the electronic display of the same. Then, for those players who have modulated the button, their cards are compared to determined who wins according to a preset poker hand hierarchy.
Gaming system and gaming table
A gaming system for card games is provided. The gaming system includes a plurality of gaming cards and a processor. Each of the gaming cards has a recognition code. The processor is configured to: generate a correspondence between the recognition codes of the gaming cards and a plurality of card faces; obtain an image of the gaming card placed in a recognition area captured by an image capturing device; recognize the recognition code in the image to generate game data according to a recognition result and the correspondence; and generate a game screen to be displayed by a display according to the game data. In addition, a gaming table is also provided.
COMPUTER-CONTROLLED BOARD GAMES
Methods and apparatus are described for preserving and improving board games by changing the game board from a passive cardboard board to a dynamic computer controlled board while keeping the other tangible parts of the game unchanged—dice, game pieces, etc. The inherent values of board games are preserved, while improving the attractiveness of board games by using computing systems and advanced technologies.
ELECTRONIC GAMING DEVICE
Presented herein is an electronic gaming device comprising a first axle with a first center cubelet rotatably coupled to the first axle, a first sensor operatively coupled to the first axle to detect rotation of the first cubelet, and responsive to detecting rotation of the first cubelet, transmit a first signal, a second axle with a second center cubelet rotatably coupled to the second axle, a second sensor operatively coupled to the second axle to detect rotation of the second cubelet, and responsive to detecting rotation of the second cubelet, transmit a second signal, a third axle with a third center cubelet rotatably coupled to the third axle, a third sensor operatively coupled to the third axle to detect rotation of the third cubelet, and responsive to detecting rotation of the third cubelet, transmit a third signal, a plurality of interchangeable cubelets positioned about the first, second, and third axle such that mechanical rotation of a set of the interchangeable cubelets having a common plane causes one of the first, second, and third sensors to transmit one of the first, second, and third signals, storage for storing a position of each of the plurality of interchangeable cubelets, and a processor configured to receive signals from one of the first, second, and third sensors, determine changes in the position of the some of the cubelets, and write the changed positions for the some of the cubelets in the storage.
Gaming system leveraging physical polyhedron with M faces rotationally linked to ordered data set of N elements
A communications pathway between a data handling system and a physical input device can be established. The system can include one or more processors, memories, and program instructions. The device can be a physical object having N faces along an axis of rotation. The N faces can include a display. A content item from an ordered dataset of content items can be presented within a field of a graphical user interface of the display. A number of discrete items in the ordered dataset of content items is M, where M is greater than N. Rotations of the object can be detected along the axis of rotation. Each rotation of one of the N faces can results in navigation through the dataset of content items. Responsive to each navigation through the dataset of items can result in a corresponding presentation of the navigated to one of the items within the field.
PRESENTATION CONTROL DEVICE, GAME MACHINE AND PROGRAM
A presentation control device includes: a first display unit which is a transmissive display unit; a transparent backlight formed of transparent material, provided relative to the first display unit opposite the viewing surface of the first display unit, and configured to emit light toward the first display unit; a light source configured to output object light to the transparent backlight where light from an object provided opposite the light emission plane of the transparent backlight is output toward the transparent backlight and the first display unit; and a display device including a controller configured to control the first display unit, the transparent backlight, and the light source so that light emitted from the transparent backlight shows an image on the first display unit, and so that the object light can pass through the transparent backlight and the first display unit and be output.
COMPOSITING DEVICE FOR COMBINING VISUAL CONTENT
A compositing apparatus is provided that has, in certain implementations, electronic circuitry for combining visual content for an electronic game of chance. The compositing apparatus may receive wagering display information from a wagering engine that controls wagering aspects of the game and entertainment display information from an entertainment engine that controls non-wagering aspects of the game. The compositing apparatus may combine the wagering and entertainment display information for presentation to a player on a display. In certain implementations, the compositing apparatus also enables the wagering engine to control the output of display information on the display.
Electronic device for facilitating user interactions with graphical objects presented on a display
An electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes a display screen and a computing hardware which is operable to execute a software product, wherein executing the software product results in generating and rendering a graphical user interface on the display screen. When rendered, the graphical user interface presents four or more user-selectable graphical objects. Selecting and moving a first graphical object towards a second graphical object is configured to result in exchanging spatial positions of the first and second graphical objects. The exchange of the spatial positions is configured to trigger starting a timer and enabling, during a time set by the timer, selecting and moving at least a third graphical object towards a fourth graphical object. The moving the third graphical object towards the fourth graphical object is configured to result in exchanging spatial positions of the third and fourth graphical objects.
