Multiplayer Video Games with Virtual Characters Having Dynamically Modified Fields of View
A multiplayer game implementing a method for generating a plurality of training virtual areas; generating at least one GUI to display a list of the plurality of training virtual areas; using the at least one GUI, enabling a player to choose one of the plurality of training virtual areas, wherein said one of the plurality of training virtual areas is associated with at least one attribute; allowing the player to navigate a virtual character to said one of the plurality of training virtual areas; monitoring an activity of the virtual character in said one of the plurality of training virtual areas; determining a value of the at least one attribute based on the monitored activity; and updating a first attributes profile of the virtual character to a second attributes profile based on the determined value of the at least one attribute.
Method, apparatus and device for view switching of virtual environment, and storage medium
A viewing angle switching method is provided. The viewing angle switching method includes: displaying a first user interface, the first user interface including an environment picture and a viewing angle switching region, the environment picture including a three-dimensional virtual environment observed from a first viewing angle direction by a virtual object, and the viewing angle switching region including a viewing angle jumping element used for viewing angle jumping; receiving a viewing angle jumping signal triggered on a target viewing angle jumping element, the at least one viewing angle jumping element including the target viewing angle jumping element; determining a second viewing angle direction corresponding to the target viewing angle jumping element; and displaying a second user interface, the second user interface including the environment picture of the three-dimensional virtual environment observed from the second viewing angle direction by the virtual object.
METHODS, SYSTEM AND NODES FOR HANDLING MEDIA STREAMS RELATING TO AN ONLINE GAME
The present disclosure relates to a method (40) performed in a system (10) for handling a media stream relating to an online game provided by a game cloud system (20). The system (10) comprises at least one node (11, 12). The method (40) comprises transmitting (41), to the game cloud system (20), a message comprising data relating to at least one virtual camera, and receiving (42), from the game cloud system (20), at least one first media stream relating to the online game as captured by the at least one virtual camera. The disclosure also relates to a corresponding system, computer programs and computer program products, and also to method in a game engine and a game engine.
Spectating Virtual (VR) Environments Associated With VR User Interactivity
A method, system, computer readable media and cloud systems are provided. In one example a method includes generating a virtual reality (VR) environment to be rendered for a head mounted display (HMD) of an HMD player during a session. The HMD player is provided with an HMD view that is controlled by movement of a character in the VR environment by the HMD player. The method includes providing a spectator view into the VR environment. The spectator view is associated with a viewing spot directed into the VR environment. Then, automatically moving said viewing spot of the spectator view to other viewing spots that follow the character in the VR environment. Moving the viewing spot of the spectator view has a delay in movement to follow the HMD view, and said delay in movement does not delay time progress for the session.

Facilitating map navigation in an online game
A system and method for facilitating navigation of a map in an online game are disclosed. A navigation mode may be provided to enable user to navigate the map by specifying a type of map features of interest to the user. In such a navigation mode, the user may provide directional control input for navigating the map to a map feature having a map feature type associated with the navigation mode; and the field of view of the map may jump from the present field of view to a new field of view corresponding to the map feature. The map feature may be selected because it is closer to a current location where the present field of view is taken in the direction indicated by the control input provided by the user than any other map features having the map feature type.
User-driven spectator channel for live game play in multi-player games
A multi-user system hosts a game session over a communication network. The game session includes a plurality of media streams that show one or more views of live game play for the game session. The multi-user system further assigns a spectator value to each media stream, updates one or more spectator values based on user inputs received during the game session, selects, for one or more time periods of the game session, one media stream to broadcast based on the spectator value assigned to the one media stream for the one or more time periods, and broadcasts the one media stream over the communication network.
Information processing apparatus, non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing information processing program, information processing system, and information processing method
An example information processing apparatus stores part shape data indicating shapes of a plurality of kinds of terrain parts forming a terrain in a virtual space, and part arrangement data indicating an arrangement of the terrain parts in the virtual space. The information processing apparatus displaces each of the vertices of the disposed terrain parts, depending on the position of the vertex in the virtual space. The information processing apparatus renders an image of the virtual space including the terrain formed of the displaced terrain parts.
GAME PRESENTING SYSTEM
To provide a game presenting system having a plurality of game systems for each executing a process of a game in which a plurality of users participate, and a game presenting machine for presenting a situation of the game executed by the game system, wherein the game presenting machine obtains a motion image related to the game executed by each of the plurality of game systems, and produces a game presenting screen image showing, as a list, at least some of the plurality of motion images obtained.
