A method of video playback includes obtaining a 3D reconstruction of at least part of an environment, obtaining video footage of an activity within that at least part of the environment, obtaining data indicating a position and orientation of a first camera within the at least part of the environment that recorded the obtained video footage, and rendering a view of the video footage in alignment with a corresponding view of at least part of the 3D reconstruction, responsive to the position and orientation of the first camera within the at least part of the environment.

In an example of a game system, based on saved data of a plurality of players, a plurality of player characters are generated, and based on an operation on each of a plurality of operation devices, one of the player characters corresponding to the operation device is controlled in a virtual space. The game system can set any of the plurality of player characters as a main character, set the other player character as a sub characters, switch the main character and the sub character. Then, the game system controls a field of view of the game so that at least the main character is included in the field of view. The game system generates a game image based on the field of view to be displayed on a display device.
Virtual camera placement system
A virtual camera placement system is provided which includes a user input device configured to receive user input and a display device configured to display images captured by a virtual camera. The virtual camera placement system further includes non-volatile memory configured to store instructions and a processor configured to execute the instructions to generate a three-dimensional simulation including a plurality of challenge points for a user, navigate the simulation including the challenge points in response to the user input, and control the virtual camera in the simulation differently in a plurality of camera stages based on at least the user input and an outcome of navigating one or more of the challenge points.

A virtual camera placement system is provided which includes a user input device configured to receive user input and a display device configured to display images captured by a virtual camera. This application discloses a method and apparatus for switching perspectives in a computer game, an electronic device and a computer-readable storage medium. The method includes displaying a virtual scene picture in a game from a target perspective in a client; triggering a key stage in the game and determining a key perspective corresponding to the key stage; and automatically switching the target perspective to the key perspective to display a key scene picture from the key perspective in the client.

Controlling Movement of a Virtual Character in a Virtual Reality Environment
A method for controlling movement of a virtual character in a virtual reality environment provided by a virtual reality device is disclosed. The virtual reality device comprising a motion tracker, wherein positions of the virtual character in the virtual reality environment correlate to positions of a user of the virtual reality device in a physical movement area. The method comprises obtaining positions of the virtual reality device in the physical movement area from the motion tracker, determining positions of the virtual character in the virtual reality environment based on the obtained positions of the virtual reality device in the physical movement area, and controlling movement of the virtual character in the virtual reality environment by applying the determined positions in a movement of the virtual character in relation to a position C in the physical movement area. METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR SPECTATING CHARACTERS IN VIRTUAL REALITY VIEWS
Methods and systems for spectating a live video game are presented. In one method embodiment, an operation includes providing an interface for presenting an overhead view of an interactive environment of a video game on a head mounted display (HMD). The method also provides an operation for providing a magnifying window for displaying a magnified view of the interactive environment, where the magnified view is associated with a second vantage point that is closer to the interactive environment than is a first vantage point of the overhead view. The method further provides an operation for tracking a real-world position of a controller of the spectator and moving the location of the magnifying window to correspond to the real-world position of the controller.
