Content controller system comprising rendering server system comprising a plurality of servers. The servers receiving a plurality of segment render requests that correspond respectively to segments included in a set of media content item segments. The servers render the segments corresponding to the segment render requests using a media content identification and a main user identification. Rendering the segments comprises retrieving metadata from a metadata database associated with the media content identification, rendering the segments using the metadata, generating a main user avatar based on the main user identification, and incorporating the main user avatar into the segments. The servers can upload the segments to a segment database and update segment states in a segment state database to indicate that the segments are available. Other embodiments are disclosed herein.

TIME-DEPENDENT CLIENT INACTIVITY INDICIA IN A MULTI-USER ANIMATION ENVIRONMENT
20230316619 · 2023-10-05 ·

A method for managing a multi-user animation platform is disclosed. A three-dimensional space within a computer memory is modeled. An avatar of a client is located within the three-dimensional space, the avatar being graphically represented by a three-dimensional figure within the three-dimensional space. The avatar is responsive to client input commands, and the three-dimensional figure includes a graphical representation of client activity. The client input commands are monitored to determine client activity. The graphical representation of client activity is then altered according to an inactivity scheme when client input commands are not detected. Following a predetermined period of client inactivity, the inactivity scheme varies non-repetitively with time.

LAYERED CLOTHING THAT CONFORMS TO AN UNDERLYING BODY AND/OR CLOTHING LAYER

An automated cage-to-cage fitting technique is used to fit arbitrary three-dimensional (3D) geometry to arbitrary target 3D geometry for 3D avatars in a 3D environment, such as an online game. Each graphical representation of items of clothing is provided with an inner cage and with an outer cage. The inner cage of a clothing item (a current layer) is mapped to the outer cage of another clothing item (a previous/underlying layer) that has already been fitted on the 3D avatar. This mapping enables the current layer to conform to the shape of the previous layer. The technique allows any body geometry to be fitted with any clothing geometry, including enabling layers of clothing to be fitted over underlying layer(s) of clothing, thereby providing customization.

NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER-READABLE STORAGE MEDIUM HAVING STORED THEREIN INFORMATION PROCESSING PROGRAM, INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, INFORMATION PROCESSING SYSTEM, AND INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD

A game system (100) comprises: an object management section (111) that associates a game object for which an acquisition condition is met with user's identification information; an game execution section (112) that executes a game using a game object selected by the user from among the game objects associated with the user's identification information; and the parameter determination section (113) that determines parameters to be given to the user to obtain in-game rewards according to the game objects used in the game. The game execution section (112) further executes the game using a combination of a decorative object and an in-game avatar. When the user executes the game using the combination of the decorative object and the in-game avatar, the parameter determination section (113) determines the parameter so that the value of the parameter becomes larger the greater the number of the decorative object types.

Aspects of the present disclosure involve a system comprising a computer-readable storage medium storing a program and a method for detecting a pose of a user, The program and method include operations comprising receiving a monocular image that includes a depiction of a body of a user; detecting a plurality of skeletal joints of the body based on the monocular image; accessing a video feed comprising a plurality of monocular images received prior to the monocular image; filtering, using the video feed, the plurality of skeletal joints of the body detected based on the monocular image; and determining a pose represented by the body depicted in the monocular image based on the filtered plurality of skeletal joints of the body.

SYSTEM FOR GENERATING MEDIA CONTENT ITEMS ON DEMAND

Method for generating media content items on demand starts with a processor receiving an animation file including a first metadata based on an animation input. The animation file is associated with a media content identification. The processor generates puppets associated with frames in the animation file using the first metadata. The processor causes a puppet matching interface to be displayed on a client device. The puppet matching interface includes one of the puppets in a first pose. The processor receives a puppet posing input associated with a second pose from the client device. The processor causes the one of the puppets to be displayed in the second pose in the puppet matching interface by the client device. The processor can also generate a second metadata based on the puppet posing input. Other embodiments are disclosed herein.

Method and system for generating data to provide an animated visual representation
11657557 · 2023-05-23 · ·

Generating data to provide an animated visual representation is disclosed. A method comprises receiving input data obtained by a first sensor system measuring information about at least one target person. One data unit is selected from a database comprising a plurality of the data units. Each data unit comprises information about a reference person in a reference state measured at a previous time by the first sensor system or by a second sensor system. The information in each data unit allows generation of an animated visual representation of the reference person in the reference state. The reference state is different for each of the data units. The selected data unit and the input data are used to generate output data usable to provide an animated visual representation corresponding to the target person and synchronized with activity of the target person measured by the first sensor system.
