Changing a virtual world based on real-world locations of players

A method of changing a virtual world of a computer-implemented game based on real-world locations of players of the computer-implemented game is disclosed. A presence of a player of the computer-implemented game is detected at a physical location. A presence of an additional player of the computer-implemented game is detected at the physical location based on a communication received from the player of the computer-implemented game. An aspect of the virtual world of the computer-implemented game is changed based on the detecting of the presence of the player at the physical location and the detecting of the presence of the additional player of the computer-implemented game at the physical location.

In-game asset tracking using NFTs that track impressions across multiple platforms

Data processing/GUIs for NFT block chain data to tell the story of ownership or highlight cool aspects of a computer game-related NFT in simplified way. Machine learning (ML) may be used to boil down the complexity of data to what people need or want to understand. The displayed timeline of ownership as presented in a GUI can be interactive. Types of metadata to encapsulate in the NFT are discussed.

A ranking method and system for providing a ranking of a game friend. The method includes registering a game friend who has joined a game service. The method further includes calculating a ranking of the user with respect to a game friend based on a ranking inquiry request received from the user terminal, and providing the user terminal with the calculated ranking of the user. The user terminal drives a game service platform associated with a plurality of games and provides some information needed for automatic friend registration and the ranking inquiry request information through the game service platform.

Management apparatus, control method therefor, computer-readable recording medium, application system, and identification-information associating method

A management server issues a game link identifier associated with friend network identification information corresponding to an inviting game and sends the game link identifier to a terminal apparatus corresponding to the friend network identification information. In the terminal apparatus, the game link identifier is passed from the inviting game to an invited game, and the program of the invited game sends the passed game link identifier and identification information of an inviting user, corresponding to the invited game, to the management server. The management server searches already issued game link identifiers, and, when a game link identifier that matches the received game link identifier is found, associates friend network identification information corresponding to the invited game associated with the received game link identifier, with the friend network identification information corresponding to the inviting game associated with the issued game link identifier.

A system, method, and computer program product for collaborative online gaming, including at least one of providing a central repository master browser system; providing an experience calibrated match-making service; providing a dynamic multiplayer server component auto deployment and aggregation system; providing a lobby centric simultaneous and collaborative client game play launching feature; and providing a video game screen over-layer technology giving users access to a control interface while inside a video game being played.

APPLYING PARTICIPANT METRICS IN GAME ENVIRONMENTS

A system that collects, analyzes, and applies physical metrics from participants in game environments. Participants (players and/or spectators) in a game may wear or hold devices that collect physical data from the participants via sensors, generate metrics data from the sensor data, and provide the metrics data to a participant metrics module. The module may receive the metrics data from the devices, analyze the metrics data to generate game inputs based on the participants' physical metrics, and provide the game inputs to the game system to affect game play. The module may also receive alerts or other information from the game system or from players, determine feedback for participants according to the received information, and signal the devices to provide feedback or alerts to the participants in the game. The devices may include indicators that are activated by the signals to provide visual, audio, and/or haptic indications to respective participants.

LOW-FRICTION RESPONSE IN A SOCIAL GAME

A method for performing a social project in a video game is provided. A session of the video game for a primary user is initiated, and a social project is initiated within the session of the video game. One or more secondary users are determined from a social graph of the primary user. A message requesting help to complete the social project is sent to the one or more secondary users, the message including a low-friction response mechanism. Upon activation of the low-friction response mechanism of the request, a response is received indicating an intent to help complete the social project from a responsive secondary user. Upon receiving the response, automated animation of an avatar of the responsive secondary user is triggered within the primary user's session of the video game so as to collaborate on the social project.
