Compositions and methods for treating hair
Disclosed are hair styling compositions comprising at least two latex polymers, wherein at least one latex polymer is a film-forming polymer. The composition is capable of forming a film having certain properties on a substrate. Methods of styling the hair are also disclosed.
Compositions and methods for treating hair
Disclosed are hair styling compositions comprising at least two latex acrylate polymers, wherein at least one latex acrylate polymer is a film-forming polymer. Methods of styling the hair are also disclosed.
Contoured And Chambered Hair Styling Device
Disclosed is a hair styling device and its employment in a specific styling method. The device comprises an elastomeric block having an elliptically-shaped substantially smooth top surface, a patterned, sculptured and textured bottom surface, and a continuous side panel integrally connected to the edges of both the top surface and the bottom surface. The bottom surface is further constructed with parallel V-shaped channels and a plurality of regularly-spaced circular chambers, the chambers being orthogonal to the bottom surface. The device is used by placing the bottom-located channels and chambers against sections of hair while simultaneously using varying pressure and rotary movement of the bottom surface upon the hair. In this manner the hair may be styled into a multiplicity of twists or spirals.
Process for permanent shaping of human hair
The present invention concerns a process for permanent shaping of human hair used both for the permanent waving of human hair with an excellent waving effect as well as for the straightening of curled hair. Accordingly, the first object of the present invention is a process for permanent shaping hair wherein an aqueous composition comprising at least one inorganic salt is applied onto hair and optionally processed up to 20 min and optionally rinsed off and subsequently a composition comprising at least one reducing agent is applied and rinsed off from hair after a processing time of 1 to 30 min and at a temperature of 20 to 45 C. and a composition comprising at least one oxidizing agent is applied and processed for 1 to 20 min at a temperature range of 20 to 45 C. and rinsed off from hair.
HAIR TREATMENT METHOD
A hair treatment method sets a hair style and/or its restyling comprising application of an anhydrous spray on wet hair. The method treats hair by applying a substantially anhydrous composition, comprising one or more polymers according to the general structure
##STR00001##
wherein A is a C2 to C6 alkylene group and n represents an average number of 5 to 1000 and p represents an average number of 5 to 100, onto wet hair.
Hair cosmetics
Cosmetic agents, in some embodiments in powder form, containing as component (a) at least one polymer comprising at least one structural unit of formula (I) and at least one structural unit of formula (II), in which X denotes a physiologically acceptable cation (in particular Na.sup.+), R.sup.1 denotes a hydrogen atom or a methyl group and R.sup.2 denotes a (C.sub.2 to C.sub.6) hydroxyalkyl group, and as component (b) at least one setting polymer, are suitable for temporarily reshaping keratin-containing fibers. When applied to human hair, for example, an elastic hairstyle with volume was obtained. The hair retained its natural gloss.
HAIR ROLLER
A dual member hair roller device designed to produce spiral curls for hair lengths that vary from medium short to very long and comprised of a flexible, permeable, elongated supporting roller body with a lateral surface that is capable of gripping fabric; and a detached, elastic, permeable fabric sleeve that safely and securely affixes to the gripping surface of the roller body.
Hair treatment method
Present invention relates to a hair treatment method for setting hair style and its restyling including a step of application of an anhydrous spray on wet hair. The present invention is a method of treating hair comprising the step of applying a substantially anhydrous composition comprising one or more polymers according to the general structure ##STR00001##
wherein A is a C2 to C6 alkylene group and n represents an average number of 5 to 1000 and p represents an average number of 5 to 100 and (np) units of AO may be the same or not onto wet hair.
PROCESS FOR STYLING THE HAIR WITH A POLYVINYLPYRIDINE
The invention relates to a hairstyling process comprising the following steps:
the application to the hair of a first cleansing cosmetic composition comprising one or more surfactants;
the application of a second aqueous cosmetic composition comprising a neutralized non-crosslinked vinylpyridine polymer;
followed by a step of rinsing with water and then a step of shaping the hair, and then a step of drying the hair.
The invention also relates to a kit comprising a first cleansing cosmetic composition comprising one or more surfactants and a second aqueous cosmetic composition comprising a neutralized non-crosslinked vinylpyridine polymer, the first and second compositions each being packaged in a separate packaging assembly.
Hair Product Application Device
A hair product application device for dispensing a hair product composition directly from a glove. The hair product application device generally includes a glove having at least one blister pack containing a hair product composition. The blister pack includes a pocket that holds the hair product composition and is at least partially in contact with an exterior surface of the glove. The pocket has a rupturable membrane and optionally, a backing sheet that is located at least partially on the exterior surface of the glove. The hair product composition is released by rupturing the rupturable membrane of the blister pack by applying an external pressure to the exterior surface of the rupturable membrane or an internal pressure to the pocket using a pneumatic device.
