A hair dryer is provided that may include a main body including a discharge unit configured to discharge fluid, such as air outside of the main body, and a handle provided at one side of the main body. The discharge unit may include a discharge base inserted into the main body and configured to form a plurality of discharge paths which are separated from each other and through which fluid may flow. The discharge unit may be configured to selectively discharge fluid through one discharge path of the plurality of the discharge paths.

Hair dryer attachment

An attachment for a hair dryer that is movable between a first position and a second position in order to alter one or more characteristics of the airflow therethrough. In one embodiment, an attachment having multiple facets and types of projections with varying stiffness are provided on an outer housing that can be rotated relative to a base by the user. In a second embodiment, an attachment having a concave surface with prongs extending therethrough that can be moved such that the exposed portion of the prongs are lengthened or shortened, as desired.

Hand held appliance

A hand held appliance comprises a body having an outer wall, a duct extending at least partially along the body within the outer wall, an interior passage extending about the duct for receiving a primary fluid flow, a primary fluid outlet for emitting the primary fluid flow from the body, wherein the primary fluid outlet is defined by the duct and an inner wall of the body. The inner wall may extend from the outer wall towards the duct and may extend radially around the duct. The inner wall may extend from the outer wall towards the primary fluid outlet. At least one spacer may be provided between the inner wall and the duct. The at least one spacer may be a supporting rib. The duct may be formed from two parts, a first part fixed to the inner wall and a second part connected to the first part.

HAIR CARE DEVICE

A nozzle for a hair care device comprises a plurality of diffuser tips protruding from a front face of the nozzle for applying IR radiation from an IR LED to a scalp (S) of a user. The diffuser tips have an air outlet (AO) for blowing hair (H) aside to reduce absorption of the IR radiation from the IR LED by the hair (H). Preferably, the diffuser tips each have a light guide (LG) for guiding the IR radiation through the diffuser tip. Preferably, each diffuser tip is provided with an IR LED for generating IR radiation at an intensity not exceeding 15 mW/cm.sup.2. Preferably, the intensity does not exceed 10 mW/cm.sup.2. The invention also relates to a hair care device comprising such a nozzle.

MC PROFESSIONAL HAIRDRYER WITH SECURE ATTACHMENTS

An MC professional hairdryer has secure attachments. More specifically, hairdryer has interchangeable secure attachments which can be connected to the hairdryer in a secure manner so that they do not fall off or become separated during use. The hairdryer is also provided in combination with a hairdryer stand, so that the hairdryer can be supported in a position to facilitate attachment and removal of accessories for the hairdryer. Such accessories can include combs, cones for concentrating air flow, and diffuser attachment for spreading out the air flow, among others. The stand is configured such that the dryer can stand upright on its base, instead of being hung or laid down. The attachments, according to the present invention, are secured by threaded engagement with the hairdryer, such that they can be screwed on and off by a user.

NOZZLE

An attachment for a hair styling apparatus includes an air inlet for receiving airflow from a hair styling apparatus, an air outlet, a duct for conveying air from the air inlet to the air outlet, at least one aperture in a wall of the duct, and a guiding wall within the duct and in proximity to the at least one aperture, wherein the guiding wall forms a barrier at an upstream side of the at least one aperture. Cool ambient air is entrained through each aperture into the attachment by the heated airflow from the hair styling apparatus. The entrained airflow passes internally along the wall of the duct and functions to minimize the temperature of the wall.

NOZZLE

An attachment for a hair styling apparatus includes an air inlet for receiving airflow from the hair styling apparatus, an air outlet and a duct for conveying air from the air inlet to the air outlet, wherein at least part of an external surface of the duct comprises an arrangement of tactile ribbed protrusions. The ribbed surface provides thermal insulation from the duct which may become warm when heated airflow is received from the hair styling apparatus and also serves as a visual guide to the user as to where they should place their fingers when grasping the attachment.

Diffuser

A diffuser includes an air inlet for receiving an airflow from a hair dryer, and a grille with a plurality of air outlets for emitting at least part of the airflow. Each of the air outlets has substantially the same shape. The plurality of air outlets includes a first set of air outlets located in a first region of the grille, and a second set of air outlets located in a second region of the grille. The grille further includes at least one third region, located between the first region and the second region, which is substantially devoid of these air outlets.

Various exemplary attachments for hair care appliances and methods of using attachments for hair care appliances are provided. In general, a hair care attachment in an exemplary embodiment is in the form of a brush accessory that has a hollow body having first and second region, an attachment collar at a first end of the hollow body and having an inlet for receiving airflow, a plurality of bristles positioned along the first region of the hollow body, a plurality of outlet openings positioned along the first region of the hollow body adjacent the plurality of bristles, and a heater assembly positioned along the second region of the hollow body.

ATTACHMENT FOR A HAIRCARE APPLIANCE

Disclosed is an attachment for a hair care appliance that has an air inlet end for receiving an airflow from the appliance, an air outlet end for emitting the airflow from the attachment, a wall defining and extending about an airflow path for the airflow and a noise attenuation member surrounded by the wall. The noise attenuation member is configured to guide the airflow along at least part of the airflow path.
