An attachment for a hair care appliance is provided and can include an elongated body extending between proximal and distal ends, an air inlet at the proximal end, a fluid flow path extending from the air inlet toward the distal end, a plurality of air outlets for allowing air to exit the body, and a plurality of bristles extending from the body. The attachment can also include a baffle disposed within the body along the fluid flow path. The baffle can divert air received at the air inlet to the plurality of air outlets. The baffle can have a proximal region configured to reduce a volume of fluid along the fluid flow path and to radially distribute the fluid within the body, a distal region configured to increase an air pressure of the fluid, and an intermediate region configured to reduce air pressure provided to the distal region.

Hair care appliance with powered attachment

Various exemplary attachments for hair care appliances and methods of using attachments for hair care appliances are provided. In general, a hair care attachment in an exemplary embodiment is in the form of a brush accessory that has a hollow body having first and second region, an attachment collar at a first end of the hollow body and having an inlet for receiving airflow, a plurality of bristles positioned along the first region of the hollow body, a plurality of outlet openings positioned along the first region of the hollow body adjacent the plurality of bristles, and a heater assembly positioned along the second region of the hollow body.

HAIRCARE APPLIANCE

An attachment for a haircare appliance, the attachment including an air inlet, an air outlet. The attachment has a curved surface adjacent to and downstream of the air outlet. A radius of curvature of the curved is at least 16 mm. A haircare appliance having an air inlet, an air outlet, and an airflow generator for generating an airflow from the air inlet to the air outlet. The haircare appliance has a curved surface adjacent to and downstream of the air outlet. A radius of curvature of the curved surface is at least 16 mm.

Diffuser

A diffuser includes a baffle having an air inlet end, an air outlet end and an outwardly tapering wall extending between the air inlet end and the air outlet end, and which defines a diffusing air chamber, and a grille connected to the baffle, the grille including a plurality of air outlets. The air inlet end of the baffle includes an air inlet and a drainage channel, spaced from the air inlet, for receiving water which has entered the air chamber through the air outlets. The drainage channel has drainage holes for draining water away from the air inlet.

APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR DRYING HAIR

An apparatus for drying hair includes first and second mutually-opposing arms adapted for movement between an open configuration for receiving a length of wet hair therebetween and a closed configuration adjacent the hair. A vibrator imparts vibration from at least one of the arms to the length of hair in use, to move and separate hair fibres for improving drying of the hair. A method of drying hair includes using the apparatus to impart vibration to a length of wet hair held within the apparatus. The method may further include using the apparatus to style the hair substantially simultaneously with drying the hair.

STYLING HAIR DRYER NOZZLE

A device which maintains exit temperature of hot air from a hair dryer passing through a nozzle attachment seated on the hair dryer. The hair dryer heats air and blows it out of an opening, with the nozzle attachment seated on the hair dryer opening. The nozzle attachment channels the heated air from the hair dryer opening to and out of a narrowed slotted opening in the nozzle attachment. The device comprises a heat conductive element configured to be securely seated on an interior surface of the nozzle attachment at a position adjacent the narrow slotted opening in the nozzle attachment without substantially impeding heated air from exiting the slotted opening. The heat conductive element is of sufficient dimensions to substantially maintain hot air exit temperature from the hair dryer opening as it exits the slotted opening of the nozzle attachment, without significant heating of the nozzle attachment.

HAIR CARE DEVICE

An air outlet grill for use on a hair care device comprises a plurality of concentric and tilted flow guide surfaces (2), a cross section of the flow guide surfaces (2) having a curved shape that diverges in an air flow direction. Preferably, tilt angles between the flow guide surfaces (2) are designed such that an air inlet area of the air outlet grill is larger than an air outlet area of the air outlet grill, so as to increase air speed. Preferably, a middle flow guide surface has a smaller height compared to at least one other flow guide surface, so as to increase an area for air to pass through at a middle part of the air outlet grill. Preferably, a leading edge of at least one of the flow guide surfaces (2) is tangent to the air flow direction while a trailing edge of the flow guide surfaces diverges from the air flow direction. Preferably, a cross-section profile of at least one of the flow guide surfaces (2) is airfoil shaped such that a thickness of the leading edge is smaller than a thickness of the trailing edge in the air flow direction.

ATTACHMENTS AND DRYING APPARATUSES HAVING THE ATTACHMENTS

The present disclosure directs to an attachment configured to be operably coupled to a drying apparatus that includes a radiation energy source assembly. The attachment may have a radiation inlet and a radiation outlet. The attachment may include a radiation adjusting assembly configured to output second radiation through the radiation outlet by adjusting at least one radiation parameter of first radiation. The first radiation may be generated by the radiation energy source assembly of the drying apparatus and enter the attachment through the radiation inlet, and a radiation power of the first radiation may be at least 5 watts.
