SEATING AND/OR LOUNGING FURNITURE
Seating and/or lounging furniture with a footrest coupled to a frame via a linkage mechanism designed as a scissor mechanism. A drive mechanism extends and retracts the footrest, and includes: at least one first linkage articulatedly fastened at one end to a first hinge point on the frame, and having a second end with a second hinge point, at least one second linkage articulatedly coupled at a first end to the first linkage at the second hinge point, and having a second end coupled to a third hinge point provided on the linkage mechanism, and the first and second hinge points defining a first straight line, and the second and third hinge points defining a second straight line, in an extended position of the footrest, the first and second straight lines enclosing an angle of 180+/5 relative to one another.
MECHANICAL STRETCHING DEVICE FOR MOVABLE SEAT UNIT AND SEAT UNIT
The present disclosure relates to a mechanical stretching device for a movable seat unit, and a movable seat unit thereof. The mechanical stretching device includes: a linkage support that comprises a support structure configured to support the mechanical stretching device on ground and a linkage structure attachable to a seating portion of the seat unit; a back mechanism that is pivotally connected to the linkage support and is configured to attach to a backrest of the seat unit; and a leg stretching structure including a footrest element, and the leg stretching structure is pivotally connected to the linkage support, and the footrest element is attached to a footrest of the seat unit. The mechanical stretching device is configured to implement a sequential conversion or a reverse sequential conversion of the seat unit from a sitting state to a relaxing state and to a lying state.
MOTOR DRIVEN SLOPED FLOOR RECLINE MECHANISM FOR A THEATER SEAT
Described is recline mechanism for a comfort seating assembly such as a theater seat which can be mounted on a sloped surface. In a fully recline position, the seating assembly is compact with a layout that falls generally within its profile. The recline mechanism includes a pair of each of: seat rail brackets, front pivot links, rear pivot upper lift link to control the motion of the rear end of the assembly, rear pivot links each attached to one rear pivot upper lift link, carrier links, each carrier link attached to one front pivot link and to a rear pivot link and a pair of rear pivot upper lift control links, attached to a pivot upper lift link and to a carrier link. A linear actuator attached by motor drive tubes at two ends of the linkage system transitions the recline mechanism between the closed and recline positions.
Modular assembly for high leg row seating
A modular assembly for a row of seating units is provided. Each seating unit has a pair of mechanisms operable to move between a closed position and a reclined position. Each mechanism includes first and second roller track that are oriented at opposite angles to one another. A seat mounting plate is moveably coupled to, and constrained by, a linkage coupling the seat mounting plate to the first and second roller tracks so that the seat mounting plate is moveable from a generally horizontal orientation in the closed position, to an inclined orientation in the reclined position, with the incline from back end of the seating unit to the front end of the seating unit.
MOTION FURNITURE MECHANISM WITH PRE-ALIGNED LINKAGE MEMBER
A motion furniture side mechanism includes a side plate and a pivotable swing arm pre-aligned with the side plate for insertion of a driver tube using an automated or manual assembly operation. The swing arm includes a pivotable driver arm, and a driver tube socket is defined on the driver arm. One or more bushings disposed between the side plate and the swing arm or driver arm provides a mechanical retainer to prevent the swing arm or driver arm from becoming inadvertently angularly misaligned prior to assembly. The pre-aligned side mechanism allows automated insertion of a driver tube without the need to identify a misaligned linkage or re-align a linkage prior to driver tube insertion. A method of assembly furniture includes providing a side mechanism with a pre-aligned linkage member such as a swing arm or driver arm positioned for driver tube insertion.
Reclining and ottoman-extending chair mechanism
A seating-unit mechanism includes various components that control a position of the seat and backrest and that control an extension and retraction of an ottoman and footrest. For example, the mechanism includes a linear actuator that controls a seat pitch (e.g., height and level of recline). In addition, the mechanism includes an ottoman-linkage drive mechanism, which might include a drive link or another linear actuator.
Glider recline linkage with double blocker cams
A blocker linkage for use in selectively locking a glider-recliner is provided. The glider-recliner is operable to move between closed, TV and full-recline positions. The blocker linkage includes a glide bracket having front and rear glide links pivotably coupled thereto. The rear glide link has a blocker pin coupled to it that extends outwardly. A carrier link is pivotably coupled to the bottoms of the front and rear glide links. A rear blocker cam is pivotably coupled to the carrier link. Similarly, a front blocker cam is also pivotably coupled to the carrier link. The rear blocker cam and the front blocker cam are operably coupled to cooperatively engage the blocker pin on the rear glide link when the glider-recliner is moved from the closed position to the TV and full-recline positions, preventing movement of the rear glide link (and thus the gliding movement supported by the carrier link).
FURNITURE MEMBER HAVING FLEXIBLE SEATBACK
A furniture member may include a stationary frame assembly and a seatback cushion. The stationary frame assembly may include a stationary base frame, a pair of stationary armrest frames and a stationary seatback frame that is fixed relative to the stationary base frame and the stationary armrest frames. The seatback cushion may include upholstery attached to at least one of the armrest frames. The upholstery may include a portion disposed between the at least one of the armrest frames and the seatback cushion. The portion of the upholstery may be expandable to allow movement of the seatback cushion relative to the stationary base frame, the stationary armrest frames and the stationary seatback frame between an upright position and a reclined position.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR SIMULTANEOUSLY CONTROLLING CINEMA SEATS
This invention relates to theater seating, and more particularly to simultaneously controlling a plurality of seats in a theater comprising a user interface and transmitter that can be used to control various elements of the seat, and a receiver and motor control unit attached to each theater seat. In some embodiments, a signal transmitter operated by an individual at a theater may simultaneously control the various elements of any group of seats.
