A process for creating transitory colored hair that is composed of two different colored hair groups having different length hairs in each hair group, and the hair groups are combined then the top one-third (⅓) combined hair is dyed or color processed. First, hair group 1 is obtained consisting of hair strands 12 inches to 24 inches in length and color processed to color A. Next, hair group 2 is obtained consisting of hair strands approximately two-thirds the length of hair group 1, which is color processed to color B. Hair group 1 and hair group 2 are combined into one hair piece. Then, the top one-third segment of combined hair is color processed to color B. Optionally, the top one-third segment of the combined hair groups can be color processed to color C.

A decorative hair accessory, for placement covering a grouping of a user's hair, includes a hollow cage-like receptacle formed from interconnected tubular segments. The receptacle includes a proximal frame portion having a main opening therein to receive the hair bundle, and a distal cage body attached to the frame portion. The frame portion includes at least three segments interconnected by an elastic filament. The frame portion also has a plurality of junction points where adjacent segments are connected. The frame portion can be temporarily stretched out to allow a user to place a hair bundle therein. The cage body includes a plurality of primary distal tubular segments, at least one of which is connected to, and extends outwardly away from the frame portion at each of the junction points. There is provided a headband for managing hair of a user comprising an elongate body member defining a full length and configured to be conformable around the head of a user, wherein the body member includes a first layer potion, a second layer portion connected to the first layer portion and an elongate metallic core member arranged between the first and second layer portions, and wherein, in use, when the headband resembling an arch is worn by the user the first layer portion is positioned to be outwardly facing and the second layer is positioned to be inwardly facing, and wherein the body member is user-adjustable in curvature such that the full length of the arch is conformable to specific contour of the head and entire inwardly facing surface of the second layer portion of the member is engageable around the head.
