Digital-based medical devices
An otoscopic instrument with an instrument head. The instrument head having a housing, an optical component disposed along an imaging axis, and an illumination system. The illumination system includes a plurality of LEDs disposed in a ring-like configuration adjacent a distal end of the housing with the illumination system disposed within the housing.
Using an intraoral mirror as a camera viewfinder, and applications thereof
Disclosed embodiments integrate a camera into an intraoral mirror. Integrating a camera into an intraoral mirror provides an efficient way to record and display what is visible to the healthcare provider in the mirror.
System for in-room use of an intraoral mirror with an integrated camera, and applications thereof
Disclosed embodiments integrate a camera into an intraoral mirror. Integrating a camera into an intraoral mirror provides an efficient way to record and display what is visible to the healthcare provider in the mirror.
Wireless laryngoscope simulator with onboard event recording adapted for laryngoscopy training
A laryngoscope has a first and second handle portion defining an internal cavity and forming a handle assembly. The laryngoscope includes a first and second blade portion defining an internal cavity and forming a blade assembly. A light and camera source within the internal cavity of the blade assembly illuminates at least a portion of the blade assembly and obtains images of the operation of the laryngoscope. A microprocessor coupled to the camera is mounted within one internal cavity and can record images from the camera. The microprocessor provides on-board recording capable of capturing video and audio and event data, such as from a simulator. A keypad is configured to provide for on-Board event flagging of the recorded data recorded by the microprocessor. The microprocessor may wirelessly transmit data from the laryngoscope.
VAGINAL SPECULUM WITH ILLUMINATOR
A speculum includes a first blade member and a second blade member, each of the first and second blade members having a distal end and an opposing proximal end. A portable illuminator having a light source and at least one battery includes a switch that is accessible through a slit or similar feature in the speculum. According to at least one version, the switch includes an extending tab portion that can extend through the slit or the end of a handle portion of the speculum to enable illumination. In another version, the portable illuminator can be attached to an articulation mechanism that is configured for moving the first and second blade members in relation to one another.
Endoscope
In the endoscope of the present invention, first electronic components and second electronic components are provided inside an elongated insertion portion, and a solid ground pattern that extends over a greater range than the first electronic components is interposed between the first electronic components and the second electronic components.
INSTRUMENT FOR EARLY DIAGNOSIS OF LARYNX CANCER
This invention is regarding an instrument (1) that is intended for use in the medical field for imaging and early diagnosis of larynx cancer. The instrument described in the invention involves LED illumination (1.1.3), which are driven at a frequency that is related to the fundamental frequency of the patient sound, a microphone (1.1.4) to acquire the fundamental frequency of the patient; an indirect laryngoscope section (1.1) that consists of a semi transparent mirror (1.1.1), and a power section (1.3) that provides the electrical current that is necessary to power up the instrument for early diagnosis of larynx cancer.
Avoiding dazzle from lights affixed to an intraoral mirror, and applications thereof
Disclosed embodiments integrate a camera into an intraoral mirror. Integrating a camera into an intraoral mirror provides an efficient way to record and display what is visible to the healthcare provider in the mirror.
CAPSULE ENDOSCOPE
The present invention provides a capsule endoscope, comprising: an enclosure, including an enclosure main body portion and a first end portion, a second end portion; an image acquisition component, disposed within the first end portion; a circuit processing component, disposed within the enclosure main body portion; and an information sending component, the information sending component including an antenna, the antenna including an antenna arm fixed to the inner wall of the enclosure main body portion, or the inner wall of the enclosure main body portion and the inner wall of the second end portion, the antenna arm connected to the image acquisition component and/or the circuit processing component. The capsule endoscope has excellent internal heat management performance.
INTRAORAL SCANNING WITH REMOTE PROCESSING AND LOCAL VIEWING
A system comprises an intraoral scanner, a first computing device and a second device. The intraoral scanner includes light projectors to generate a light pattern, one or more cameras to capture 2D images of the 3D dental object in response to illuminating said 3D dental object using the one or more light projectors, and a processor configured to process the 2D images to generate intraoral scan data. The first computing device is configured to receive the intraoral scan data from the intraoral scanner, generate a digital 3D model of at least part of the 3D dental object based on the intraoral scan data, generate a plurality of 2D images of the digital 3D model, and transmit the plurality of 2D images to a second device. The second device is configured to output the plurality of 2D images to a display associated with the second device.
