The foldable electronic device includes a main body part, having a first main body and a second main body, configured to fold along a folding line; a first sensor provided on the first main body, and configured to obtain a contact image of an object of a user; a second sensor provided on the first main body, and configured to measure a degree of folding of the main body part; and a processor configured to estimate bio-information of the user, based on the contact image of the object and the degree of folding.
EXTRAVASCULAR CUFF WITH DISPLACEABLE LATERAL RESTRAINT
An implantable extravascular pressure sensing system includes a cuff including a first brace portion affixed to a second brace portion and defining a longitudinal axis therebetween. The first brace portion defines a fluid chamber, the fluid chamber defining a recessed aperture. A first lateral restraint and a second lateral restraint are disposed between the first brace and the second brace, the first lateral restraint and the second lateral restraint being configured to be displaceable in a direction orthogonal to the longitudinal axis. A diaphragm is coupled to the fluid chamber and sealing the recessed aperture. A fluid is disposed within the fluid chamber for exhibiting a hydraulic pressure in communication with the diaphragm. A pressure sensor is coupled to the first brace portion, the pressure sensor being configured to measure a change in the hydraulic pressure when a force is imparted on the diaphragm.
Robotic medical assistant vehicle and interface
A robotic medical assistant vehicle and interface (R-MAVI) is disclosed. The robotic medical assistant vehicle and interface helps contain viruses by reducing human interaction. The robotic medical assistant vehicle and interface combines robotics with medicine to achieve the safest and most efficient reception, transportation and initial assessment of a patient.
Apparatus and Methods for Measuring Blood Pressure and Other Vital Signs Via a Finger
There is disclosed a vital sign measuring device (VSMD) for obtaining an indication of a person's blood pressure via the person's finger by means of a finger cuff having an inflatable bladder. Blood pressure may be determined without the use of any electromagnetic radiation, such as miniature dynamic light sensing (mDLS). Apparatuses and methods for obtaining an indication of other vital signs, including hematocrit and total protein, are also disclosed.
FINGER INSERTS FOR A NAILFOLD IMAGING DEVICE
A finger insert for use with a nailfold imaging device includes a housing to receive the user's finger and an immersion substance (e.g., immersion oil), and a deformable pad that holds the user's finger in place during imaging, as well as prevent bubble formation in the substance. The housing includes a transparent wall to facilitate imaging of the finger. The transparent wall includes multiple angled portions that prevent or reduce contact between the nailfold and the wall, to ensure sufficient blood flow through the nailfold region for imaging.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR OPTICALLY MEASURING BLOOD PRESSURE
Methods and systems of optically measuring systolic and/or diastolic blood pressure of a mammal having biological tissue are disclosed herein. In some embodiments, the system comprises an optical blood motion sensor, a gas-sealable inflatable cushion having a flexible and transparent (FOT) barrier section, and an optical blood motion sensor comprising a laser. When pressure (e.g. at least systolic pressure) illuminates the tissue, laser light may pass en route to the tissue through the FOT sealing barrier section of the gas-sealable inflatable cushion as well as cushion interior. In some embodiments, a rigid restrictor comprising an optically transparent section is provided, and laser light also passes through the optically transparent section of the rigid restrictor en route to the biological tissue.
Measuring blood pressure
A method for measuring blood pressure of a subject is described herein. In an implementation, the method includes obtaining a plurality of photoplethysmogram (PPG) features associated with the subject. The method further includes ascertaining one or more latent parameters associated with the subject based on the plurality of PPG features and a reference model, wherein the reference model indicates a correlation between the plurality of PPG features and the one or more latent parameters. Further, blood pressure of the subject is determined based on the one or more latent parameters and the plurality of PPG features.
Adaptive tuning for volume clamp blood pressure measurement
Disclosed is a system to provide adaptive tuning through a control system to a finger cuff connectable to a patient's finger to be used in measuring the patient's blood pressure in the patient's artery by a blood pressure measurement system utilizing a volume clamp method. When the finger cuff is placed around the patient's finger, the bladder and the LED-PD pair aid in measuring the patient's blood pressure by the blood pressure measurement system utilizing the volume clamp method, wherein the adaptive tuning system: applies a first pressure impulse and measures a pleth versus time response; from the pressure versus time response, determines pleth servo gains that compensate for delays in a pleth response of the finger; and uses the determined pleth servo gains in the control system in measuring the patient's blood pressure by the blood pressure measurement system utilizing the volume clamp method.
Systems and methods for controlling blood pressure
A system for controlling blood pressure includes a wearable interface having an internal contact surface, the wearable interface configured to at least partially encircle a first portion of a first limb of a subject, a sensing module carried by the wearable interface and configured to determine at least a change in blood pressure of the first limb of the subject, and an energy application module carried by the wearable interface and configured to apply energy of two or more types to the first limb of the subject.
