Blood Collection Assembly Having a Multi-Function Shield
A needle assembly includes a housing having proximal and distal ends, an IV cannula projecting distally from the housing, and an IV shield having an engagement. The housing has a shield seat and the IV cannula has a distal tip. The IV shield has a pre-use position where the IV shield covers the distal tip of the IV cannula and the engagement is disengaged from the shield seat, and a use position where the engagement is engaged with the shield seat and the IV shield is adapted to move between a non-shielded position, in which the distal tip is exposed, and a shielded position, in which the distal tip is shielded by the IV shield.
Needle guard
A needle guard assembly having a resilient arm extending from a base situated to slide along the shaft of a needle. In one implementation the needle guard has an elongate containment member that rides with the resilient arm and is co-operable with the resilient arm to effectuate a covering of the entire distal tip of the needle upon the needle being retracted into the needle guard.
Blood collection assembly having a multi-function shield

Safety Blood-Collection Needle
A safety blood-collection needle, comprising a needle base, a needle hub, a flexible tube, a straight needle, a straight needle shaft, and a needle head; the safety blood-collection needle further comprises a protective cover, a slider, a handle, and a position limiting mechanism; one end of the needle base is fixed and is in communication with the needle head; the slider movably sleeved on the needle base; the position limiting mechanism is arranged on the slider and needle base. The slider is arranged on the needle base and slides in order to cover the needle head, so that safety is greatly increased when handling the needle head following blood collection; the use of a spring-type needle head is avoided, thus reducing the suffering of the patient.
BODILY-FLUID TRANSFER SYSTEM FOR BODILY FLUID SAMPLING
A bodily-fluid transfer device includes a housing, a pre-sample reservoir, and an actuator. The housing defines an inner volume between a substantially open proximal end portion and a distal end portion that includes a port couplable to a lumen-defining device. The pre-sample reservoir is fluidically couplable to the port to receive a first volume of bodily fluid. The actuator is at least partially disposed in the inner volume and has a proximal end portion that includes an engagement portion and a distal end portion that includes a sealing member. The engagement portion is configured to allow a user to selectively move the actuator between a first configuration such that bodily fluid can flow from the port to the pre-sample reservoir, and a second configuration such that bodily fluid can flow from the port to a sample reservoir defined at least in part by the sealing member and the housing.
Arterial blood gas collection system
An arterial blood module (16) that is removably connectable to an arterial blood collection element (14) is disclosed. The arterial blood module includes a housing (30), a needle (32), a cap (34) removably securable over the needle, a mixing chamber (36), and a safety shield (38) engaged with a portion of the housing and transitionable from a first shield position in which a portion of the needle is exposed to a second shield position in which the needle is shielded by a portion of the safety shield. In one embodiment, the present disclosure includes an arterial blood collection system (10) that includes an arterial blood collection element (14) defining a collection chamber (20) and an arterial blood module (16) removably connectable to a portion of the arterial blood collection element.
Sensor connections
This disclosure generally relates to medical devices that include a sensor transmitter assembly that includes a sensor assembly including a sensor module where a first sensor including a first sensor head having at least one first sensor contact pad is combined with a second sensor including a second sensor head having at least one second sensor contact pad. The sensor transmitter assembly also includes a transmitter assembly positioned on a top of the sensor assembly to form a single unit, the transmitter assembly having at least one transmitter contact disposed on a base of the transmitter assembly, where the first sensor contact pad(s) and the second sensor form a connection path with the transmitter contact(s).
Lancet device
Disclosed is a lancet device including: a body, having a first end and a second end; a head cap, wherein the first end of the head cap is provided with a needle outlet hole, and the second end of the head cap is connected to the first end of the body; a tail cap, wherein the first end of the tail cap is connected to the second end of the body, and the tail cap is provided with a first spring connecting portion, or the first spring connecting portion is provided in the tail cap; a needle core assembly, at least a part of which is axially guided and located in the body, wherein the needle core assembly includes a needle seat and a blood taking needle, the blood taking needle is provided on the needle seat, and the needle tip of the blood taking needle is adapted to extend out from the needle outlet hole; a trigger assembly, having a driving core acting on the needle seat, wherein the driving core is adapted to drive the needle seat to move toward the needle outlet hole based on a trigger operation, and the driving core is provided with a second spring connecting portion; a driving spring, the both ends of which respectively abut against or are connected with first and second spring connecting portions, wherein the driving spring is located between the first and second spring connecting portions; and an elastic force adjustment unit for adjusting the axial distance between the first and second spring connecting portions to adjust the trigger elastic force of the driving spring.

A needle stick injury prevention device for blood collection device to prevent needle from being pushed out comprises a vacuum bottle support tube and a protective cover. The vacuum bottle support tube comprises a main body and a cover body, the cover body is arranged on one side of the opening of the main body and has a clamping portion with a groove and a protrusion, the groove having a positioning hole, the protrusion arranged on the bottom wall of the groove and having an arc surface. The bottom of the protective cover is arranged in the groove and has a first spring sheet, the outer side wall of the first spring sheet has a first barb, the first barb abuts against the arc surface to stretch the first spring sheet outward, and the top of the first barb abuts against the top wall of the positioning hole.
