The assembly comprises an electrode (1) having an electrical conductive portion (2) with a surface for entering in contact with a skin portion (200) of the individual and an electrical insulating stratum (3) covering the electrical conductive portion (2). The assembly comprises a conductor assembly (40) having a connector assembly (4) with protuberances (8) for removably retaining the electrode and electrically connecting said electrical conductive portion (2) of the electrode to said monitoring and/or stimulating device. The protuberances have sharpened elements (8) for piercing the insulating stratum (3) and engaging themselves inside the electrical conductive portion (2).
Elastomers Enhanced with in situ Formation of 2D Nanoparticles from Layered Materials for Multifunctional Sensors
Disclosed is a concise, inexpensive and scalable method for preparing elastomers filled with conductive 2D nanoparticies. The method comprises independently filling elastomer polymer precursors and/or corresponding elastomer polymer curing agents or their precursors with conductive 2D nanoparticles by shear exfoliation of a layered material, followed by mixing the two components nd curing to form the elastomer. Such filled elastomers have utility in preparing various types of sensors which are useful in a variety of practical applications and devices.
MODULAR ANALYTE CONNECTIVITY SYSTEM FOR EXTENDIBLE COMMUNICATION WITH DIFFERENT TYPES OF PHYSIOLOGICAL SENSORS
A medical device communication system with a modular design to communicate with different types of medical devices, such as physiological sensors. The modular design is implemented using an extensible software library that provides a uniform framework for various applications or third party applications access to medical device data. The modular design also allows for regulated and unregulated portions of the system to be integrated into the system while allowing each portion to be updated separately. The regulated portion of the system may include components, such as sensors and the software library, that are subject to regulatory approval while the unregulated portion may include applications that are not subject to regulatory approval. Thus, the system enables a third party application developer to avoid having to submit the application to a regulatory agency for an application making use of the sensor data.
Health and vital signs monitoring patch with display and making of same
A vital signs monitoring patch with integrated display (VSM) includes a user access layer for accessing a display section and a first printed silver-silver chloride (Ag—AgCl) electrode. A polyethylene foam layer including battery and plunger cut-outs. A printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) layer including vitals sign monitoring sensors and the battery and connected to the first and second printed Ag—AgCl electrodes. The polyethylene foam layer bonded to the user access layer and the PCBA layer. A sensor layer including reflection mode oximetry components and the second printed Ag—AgCl electrode. A hydrogel conductive adhesive to interact between a user skin and the second printed Ag—AgCl electrode. A medical tape layer bonded to the user skin and the sensor layer. A plunger connected to the PCBA layer and configured to power on the VSM, where user access of the first printed Ag—AgCl electrode completes a circuit with the second printed Ag—AgCl electrode.
Wearable monitor
The present disclosure relates to a wearable monitor device and methods and systems for using such a device. In certain embodiments, the wearable monitor records cardiac data from a mammal and extracts particular features of interest. These features are then transmitted and used to provide health-related information about the mammal.
System for transmitting electrical signals
A flexible and/or stretchable structural system for transmitting electrical signal between first and second rigid portions comprises a body structure and said first and second portions arranged to said body structure. The modulus of elasticity of said first portion is lower than the corresponding modulus of elasticity of said second portion. In addition the modulus of elasticity of said body structure is lower than the corresponding modulus of elasticity of said second portion. The system comprises also an interface portion, such as e.g. an electrically conducting fabric, textile or knit, which is arranged to said body structure and between said first and second portions. The interface portion electrically connects said first and second portions. The modulus of elasticity of said interface portion is lower than the corresponding modulus of elasticity of said second portion.
Relatively constant sensor application pressure for electrical impedance myography
Embodiments of devices and methods for evaluating tissue are disclosed. In one embodiment, a method for measuring a characteristic of a tissue may include passing a current through the tissue, measuring a signal corresponding to the voltage resulting from passing the current through the tissue, analyzing current passed through the tissue and resulting voltage to determine the electrical characteristics of the tissue; and analyzing the electrical characteristics of the tissue to determine a status of the tissue. Methods for achieving relatively constant sensor application pressure are disclosed.
