SYSTEMS, DEVICES, AND METHODS FOR IMPROVED ANALYTE SENSOR ACCURACY AND FAULT DETECTION
Various embodiments of systems, devices and methods for improving the accuracy of an analyte sensor and for detecting sensor fault conditions are disclosed. According to some embodiments, these systems, devices, and methods can utilize a first data collected by a glucose sensor and a second data collected by a secondary sensing element. In some embodiments, the secondary sensing element can be one of a lactate sensing element, a ketone sensing element, or a heart rate monitor, among others.
DEVICES AND METHODS FOR DEEP TISSUE TEMPERATURE MEASUREMENT USING OPTICAL SENSING
Embodiments herein relate to devices and methods for assessing deep tissue temperature using optical sensing. In an embodiment an optical temperature monitoring device is included having an optical emitter, wherein the optical emitter is configured to emit light at a first wavelength from 100 nm to 2000 nm. The optical temperature monitoring device also includes an optical detector configured to detect incident light. The optical temperature monitoring device can be configured so that the light from the optical emitter propagates at a depth of at least 1 cm through tissue as measured from a surface of the optical temperature monitoring device and back to the optical detector and the incident light detected by the optical detector is used to determine a temperature of the tissue at depths of at least 1 cm as measured from a surface of the optical temperature monitoring device. A measurement unit for measuring a bio-impedance of a body, the measurement unit comprising a current generator circuit, a readout circuit, and a baseline cancellation current circuit, wherein the current generator circuit is configured to amplify a reference current to form a measurement current to be driven through a body to generate a measurement voltage representing the bio-impedance; wherein the readout circuit comprises a Instrumentation amplifier (IA) which has a transconductance stage and a transimpedance stage, wherein the IA is configured to: produce a first current in the transconductance stage, the first current being proportional to the measurement voltage, receive a second current from the baseline cancellation current circuit, produce an output voltage in the transimpedance stage, the output voltage being proportional to a difference between the first current and the second current and representative of the measured bio-impedance; wherein the baseline cancellation current circuit is configured to amplify the reference current by a factor to form the second current and deliver it to the IA, wherein the factor is such that that the absolute value of the difference between the first and the second current is below a threshold such that a baseline of the first current is cancelled by the second current.
Ambulatory medical device including a digital front-end
An ambulatory medical device including a plurality of sensing electrodes and one or more processors operably coupled to the plurality of sensing electrodes is provided. Each sensing electrodes is configured to be coupled eternally to a patient and to detect one or more ECG signals. The one or more processors are configured to receive at least one electrode-specific digital signal for each of the plurality of sensing electrodes, determine a noise component for each of the electrode-specific digital signals, analyze each of the noise components for each of the plurality of sensing electrodes, generate electrode matching information for each sensing electrode of the plurality of sensing electrodes based upon analysis of each of the noise components, determine one or more sensing electrode pairs based upon the electrode matching information, and monitor each of the one or more sensing electrode pairs for ECG activity of the patient.
Expended wear ambulatory electrocardiography monitor
An electrocardiography monitor is provided. A sealed housing includes one end wider than an opposite end of the sealed housing. Electronic circuitry is provided within the sealed housing. The electronic circuitry includes an electrographic front end circuit to sense electrocardiographic signals and a micro-controller interfaced to the electrocardiographic front end circuit to sample the electrocardiographic signals. A buzzer within the housing outputs feedback to a wearer of the sealed housing.
Wearable devices
Wearable devices are provided herein including wearable defibrillators, wearable devices for diagnosing symptoms associated with sleep apnea, and wearable devices for diagnosing symptoms associated with heart failure. The wearable external defibrillators can include a plurality of ECG sensing electrodes and a first defibrillator electrode pad and a second defibrillator electrode pad. The ECG sensing electrodes and the defibrillator electrode pads are configured for long term wear. Methods are also provided for using the wearable external defibrillators to analyze cardiac signals of the wearer and to provide an electrical shock if a treatable arrhythmia is detected. Methods are also disclosed for refurbishing wearable defibrillators. Methods of using wearable devices for diagnosing symptoms associated with sleep apnea and for diagnosing symptoms associated with heart failure are also provided.

Example aspects of a volatile organic compound detection device, a wearable health monitoring device, and a method of monitoring a user's health are disclosed. The volatile organic compound detection device can comprise a collector comprising a collector material configured to collect volatile organic compounds given off from a user's skin; a separator comprising a gas chromatography column configured to separate mixtures of the volatile organic compounds into their constituent chemicals; and an identifier comprising a detector and a processor, the detector configured to transduce the constituent chemicals into a signal, the processor configured to process the signal to identify specific volatile organic compounds indicative of a health condition.

The microfluidic flexible fluid capture substrate further has a plurality of conductive traces and electrodes. An electronic module is attached to the microfluidic flexible fluid capture substrate and is configured to measure and analyze data from the biofluid collected by the microfluidic flexible fluid capture substrate and to transmit the analyzed data to a smart device.
