HAND-HELD HAIR STYLING DEVICE
A hand-held hair styling device permits precise introduction of a curl into the hair. A selectively actuatable drive system drives rotation of one or more rotatable bases, each carrying a hair styling element on it. The drive system includes a transmission connecting an actuator to the rotatable base to transmit the movement of the actuator in one direction into rotation of the rotatable base in a first direction. The transmission is configured to prevent rotation of the rotatable base in a second direction opposite to the first direction upon movement of the actuator in an opposite direction. In another aspect the transmission is configured to produce a single 360 rotation of the rotatable base upon movement of the actuator in the first direction.
Cutting comb
A split end removal comb. This comb includes an outer shell which houses an inner shell of similar shape but smaller dimensions, and a handle, which houses an electromechanical assembly. The inner comb can slide to a lock position inside the upper part of the outer comb, whereby the hair can be stretched away from the scalp and bent into divided strands. In this position, the blades mounted on the teeth of the inner comb, which can be powered by a motor, can be activated through a shaft running through the perpendicular axis of the device thereby trimming the tips of the hair, as it is being combed by the user. During operation, the hair goes through channels created by the multi-planar arrays of a plurality of teeth, ridges, and blades arranged along various angles and distances. This results in a safe and easy trimming of split ends.
Conditioning and Styling Reactivated Hair Device
A conditioning and styling reactivated hair device is an apparatus which can be used to spray formulations to condition, style, reactivate, and/or refresh hair, stimulate the scalp, and help detangle hair. The apparatus includes a handheld grip, a detachable panel, a nebulizing mechanism, a vibration mechanism, and a control system. The handheld grip serves as the base for the apparatus which can be ergonomically held by one hand. Further, the handheld grip includes a palm-bearing surface and an interfacing surface. The detachable panel covers the internal structure of the handheld grip and supports external hair styling aids. The detachable panel further comprises a back plate and a flow guide. The nebulizing mechanism dispenses spray formulations stored within the handheld grip. The vibration mechanism generates physical vibrations for stimulating purposes as well as to aid in dispensing spray formulations. The control system enables the semi-automatic operation of the apparatus by users.
PERSONAL CARE DEVICE WITH CAMERA
A personal care system having a treatment device for applying a treatment to the skin or hair of a user is provided. The treatment device has a camera for taking an image of the skin. The system may include or be in communication with an application programming interface (API) that can process the image. The system or an associated API can recommend the use of treatment regimens or topical products according to information determined from the digital image of the skin.
HAND-HELD HAIR STYLING DEVICE
A hand-held hair styling device has a body having a wider side between narrower sides. A rotatable base is mounted on the body for rotation relative to the body. The rotatable base has an exposed surface facing generally away from the body. An axis of rotation of the rotatable base extends substantially perpendicular to a longitudinal axis of the body. A plurality of hair styling elements extending generally away from the body are mounted on the exposed surface of the rotatable base for rotation relative to the body with the rotatable base. A method of styling hair includes rotating the rotatable base and the hair styling elements thereon while at least some of the hair styling elements are in contact with a person's hair.
Drive Shaft Coupling
Formula delivery devices include a handle and a consumable assembly. The handle has a handle shell, and the consumable assembly is configured to be removably joined with the handle by insertion into the handle shell. The consumable assembly has a formulation container disposed in an elongate housing and is configured to contain a volume of a formulation. The formulation container is provided with a sealing member configured to enable fluid communication with the formulation container.
Vibrating dispensing hairbrush
The vibrating dispensing hairbrush has an elongated upper housing, a main body below the upper housing, and a removable bottom cover. The main body defines a fluid reservoir for holding a liquid to be dispensed while brushing. A bristle plate defines the bottom wall of the reservoir, the bristle plate having an alternating pattern of bristles and resilient nubs depending therefrom, the nubs dispensing drops of the fluid when pressure is applied thereto by the bristles while brushing. The upper housing houses a vibratory motor at opposite ends thereof for aiding in fluid dispensing and distribution, and for imparting vibratory motion to the bristles, and also houses rechargeable batteries. The bottom cover protects the bristles when not in use, and may have an accessory mirror attached thereto.
Drive shaft coupling
A drive shaft coupling is provided, such as a coupling used with a formula delivery appliance. The drive shaft coupling generally includes a drive gear and a driven gear, with one of the drive gear and driven gear having a biasing member to allow axial translation. The drive shaft coupling is generally configured to transfer rotation from the drive gear to the driven gear. In one aspect, the drive shaft coupling is capable of alignment and coupling of the drive gear and driven gear upon the radial sliding of the coupling from a non-engagement position to an engagement position.
DEVICE FOR TREATING LICE INFESTATION
The present invention relates to a comb device for treating lice infestation, comprising: a) heat conducive teeth in which their extremity form a fine-tooth comb; b) a heating source adapted for heating said teeth; and c) a vibration motor adapted for vibrating said teeth in a multi-axis manner, wherein said heating source and said vibration motor are configured to work together.
Personal care device with camera
A personal care system having a treatment device for applying a treatment to the skin or hair of a user is provided. The treatment device has a camera for taking an image of the skin. The system includes an application programming interface (API) that can process the image. The API can recommend the use of treatment regimens or topical products according to information the API gathers from the digital image of the skin.
