There is provided a hair comb. The comb has a utility member made of a first polymeric material for engaging hair and scalp of a user in use and a splint portion made of a second material for providing rigidity to the utility member and to act as a handle for user's grip. The splint member is substantially stiffer than the utility member, wherein the splint member has a flexural strength of at least 40 Mpa and a hardness of at least Shore D 75, and the first polymeric material is selected from a group selected from thermoplastics polyester elastomer (TPE-E), polyether block amide copolymer (TPE-A), ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA), polyurethane (PU) and polyethylene (PE).

A hand-held hair styling device permits precise introduction of a curl into the hair. A selectively actuatable drive system drives rotation of one or more rotatable bases, each carrying a hair styling element on it. The drive system includes a transmission connecting an actuator to the rotatable base to transmit the movement of the actuator in one direction into rotation of the rotatable base in a first direction. The transmission is configured to prevent rotation of the rotatable base in a second direction opposite to the first direction upon movement of the actuator in an opposite direction. A rotatable base is mounted on the body for rotation relative to the body about an axis of rotation. The rotatable base has a surface facing generally away from the body. At least one hair styling element is mounted on the surface of the rotatable base for rotation with the rotatable base. The hair styling element includes a twisted elongate member.

The plurality of arced tines are connected to the lower portion of the handle along a first periphery extending around the lower portion of the handle. The arced tines arc inwardly with respect to a center of the lower portion of the handle. An arced tine comprises an arced flexible member; a base situated at a proximal end of the arced flexible member, and a tip. The base is connected to the lower portion of the handle. The tip is situated at a distal end of the arced flexible member. The arced flexible member has an elongated arced profile between the base and the tip.

The invention belongs to the technical field of daily necessities, and in particular relates to a rubber assembly useful for a comb, a comb comprising the rubber assembly, and a method for manufacturing a comb. In the invention, raised columns are arranged at a back side of a rubber, and the bottom of comb teeth is bent and then fitted into the raised columns by clamping pieces to achieve the fixing of the comb teeth, which can meet the requirements of no easy tangling and firmly fixed comb teeth; and with the structure of a comb handle, a combing surface which is flat and easy to clean can be achieved.
