Anterior cervical plate with integrated locks
11547457 · 2023-01-10 ·

An anterior cervical plate system with integrated locks which is additively manufactured as one component is disclosed. The anterior cervical plate system comprises a plate having at least one through hole configured to receive a bone screw for attaching the plate to a patient's bone. The plate includes a lock component adjacent to the at least one through hole. The lock component is connected to the plate such that the lock component is permitted to rotate with respect to the plate. The lock component has an unlocked position in which the locking ends of the lock component do not cover the head of the bone screw inside the through hole, and a locked position in which at least part of the locking ends engage the head portion of the bone screw to prevent the bone screw from backing out of the through hole.

Adjustable fixation device

An articulated fixation device is provided having a high degree of adjustability for securing a plate member thereof to a skull and at least one spinal rod thereof to a vertebral bone. In one form, an adjustable bridge member is provided that is adjustably connected to both the plate member and the spinal rod. The adjustable connections can include an upper and rearward pivot connection between the plate member and the bridge member and a lower and forward pivot connection between the spinal rod and the bridge member.

Lamina plate assemblies, systems, and methods thereof. A lamina plate assembly may be configured to provide lamina support following laminectomy, for example, in cervical and lumbar cases. The lamina plate assembly may include a generally elongate body having a first free end, a second free end, and a posterior portion disposed between the first free end and the second free end. Different embodiments of securing portions are used to secure the lamina plate assembly to a vertebra.

Implant and method for posterior sacroiliac fusion

An implant and method for posterior sacroiliac fusion having a plate for placement across the posterior surface of the sacroiliac joint, a transverse pin to slide through the plate and transverse the joint as well as provide an aperture to receive bone graft, and a sacral screw to be inserted through the plate.

Surgical navigation system providing attachment metrics
11540886 · 2023-01-03 · ·

A system and method for providing enhanced information to a surgeon is described. A three-dimensional reconstruction of a patient's anatomical structure selected for surgery and a representation of a surgical treatment apparatus are rendered on a display device. At least one attachment metric for a proposed attachment between the surgical treatment apparatus and the patient's anatomical structure is calculated using the three-dimensional position of the surgical treatment apparatus relative to the patient's anatomical structure. And, an indication of the attachment metric is rendered on the display device.

Fixing Plate with Locking Mechanism Assembly

A retaining plate with locking mechanism assembly includes a retaining plate having a first screw hole extending therethrough and a spring blocker rotatably mounted in plate proximate to the first screw hole. The spring blocker includes a body portion, a first land extending radially from the body portion above the retaining plate, and a first wing extending tangentially from the first land in a first arc. When a first screw is inserted into the first screw hole, when the spring blocker is rotated to a first position, the first land extends over a portion of the first screw. When the spring blocker is rotated to a second position, the first wing extends over the portion of the first screw. When the spring blocker is rotated to a third position, neither the first land nor the first wing extends over the portion of the first screw.

PATIENT-SPECIFIC ANTERIOR PLATE IMPLANTS

The present technology provides patient-specific implants. The implants can include a plate having a geometry contoured to mate with an identified anatomical structure at a target position. The plate can include a first projection having a first contact surface with a first topography designed to mate with a corresponding first surface of a first vertebral body, and a second projection having a second contact surface with second topography designed to mate with a corresponding second surface of a second vertebral body. The first topography can be different than the second topography. In some embodiments, the first and/or second projection can be configured to contact, and have topographies designed to mate, with a plurality of surfaces, such as two adjacent surfaces, of the respective first and second vertebral bodies.

PERIPROSTHETIC BONE PLATE SYSTEMS

Periprosthetic bone fixation plates are disclosed including, for example, periprosthetic proximal femur plate, periprosthetic distal femur plate, periprosthetic humerus plate, periprosthetic ring plate, and periprosthetic troch plate. In use, the periprosthetic bone fixation plates are arranged and configured for use in periprosthetic fractures. That is, the periprosthetic plates include one or more features to facilitate positioning and securement of the bone fixation plate to a patients bone that previously received a surgically implanted orthopedic device or implant such as, for example, an intramedullary nail, a hip prosthesis, a knee prosthesis, etc. In use, the one or more features are designed and configured to facilitate avoidance of the previous surgically implanted orthopedic device or implant. In addition, the periprosthetic bone fixation plates are arranged and configured to facilitate plating of a longer working length as compared to existing bone fixation plates (e.g., plating from, for example, femoral condyle to greater trochanter).
