JOINT SURFACE REPLACEMENT SYSTEM
The present invention relates to an articular joint replacement system. The system has first and second components. Each component has a tapered head piece for covering the end of a bone and for acting as an articular surface, an integrally formed screw stem having a length sufficient to extend into the medullary canal, and inwardly angled bone grips affixed to the underside of the head piece to allow solid fixation to the bone by compression press fit. The head piece of the first component is provided with a shaped exterior surface which complements the shaped exterior surface of the head piece of the second component and which allows motion in three planes.
Dome Toe Resurfacing System
An innovative dome toe resurfacing system for performing metatarsophalangeal joint replacement is disclosed. The present invention comprises a prosthetic implant for metatarsophalangeal joint, and one or more cone extensions that covers portions of the prosthesis that extends into the metatarsal bone and phalanx bone. The cone extensions include a plurality of ridges that will catch bone on insertion and provide a press fit. The present invention also includes a cone and cup reaming system wherein one or more reamers will ream a cone/cup shape for the articular surfaces, and prepare the metatarsal and phalangeal canals for the insertion of the cone extensions. The cone extensions have ends that fit the reamed cone/cup shape wherein the cone/cup shape resembles the natural anatomy of articular surfaces of metatarsophalangeal joint.
Instruments and methods for complete plantar plate repairs
Surgical repair systems and techniques for plantar plate repairs. The surgical repair systems and methods reconstruct the plantar plate through a dorsal incision. The surgical repair system embodies a variety of instruments that provide visualization and access to the plantar plate using suture to complete the repair. The repair system may include some or all of the following instruments: a metatarsal head pusher employed in open surgical space, to move the capital fragment in a controlled manner; a suture retriever instrument and a suture retriever funnel (sleeve); a suture passer such as a Mini Scorpion DX and accompanying needle, or a variety of shaped Micro Suture Lassos; a measuring guide; and a small joint distractor.

IMPLANT WITH INTRAMEDULLARY PORTION AND OFFSET EXTRAMEDULLARY PORTION
An implant comprises a unitary body including an intramedullary portion connected to an extramedullary portion. The unitary body is configured to attach a first bone section to a second bone section. The intramedullary portion has a first longitudinal axis, and is configured for insertion into the first bone section. The intramedullary portion includes at least one first fastener aperture having an aperture axis oriented obliquely relative to the first longitudinal axis. The extramedullary portion is configured to abut a surface of the second bone section and includes at least one second fastener aperture disposed to transversely receive a bone fastener inserted in the second bone section. The extramedullary portion has a second longitudinal axis offset from, the first longitudinal axis.

MOTION TOE SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Disclosed are devices and related surgical methods for replacing some or all of a metatarsophalangeal joint of a patient.
TOE IMPLANT ASSEMBLIES, KITS, SURGICAL METHODS, AND METHODS OF MANUFACTURING
A toe implant assembly includes a bearing member having a curved interface surface, and a fixation member having a platform portion and fixation portion. The platform portion has a peripheral portion sized less than or equal to a peripheral portion of the bearing member. The bearing member extends outwardly from the peripheral portion of the platform portion. A kit may include a plurality of differently sized sizing devices, at least one cannulated drill, and a plurality of correspondingly sized trialing devices having a bearing member and fixation member, the bearing member having a curved interface surface having a first diameter, and the fixation member is coupled to the bearing member. The fixation member has a platform having a peripheral diameter less than or equal to the diameter of the peripheral diameter of the bearing member. A surgical method includes using the kit to install a selected toe implant assembly.
First metatarsophalangeal joint implant and method for placement
An implant is disclosed for the first metatarsophalangeal joint between the proximal phalange and the first metatarsal, the phalange moving in a sagittal plane perpendicular to a transverse plane. The implant includes a metatarsal component for securing against the distal end of the first metatarsal, the metatarsal component having an interfacing surface with a plurality of ridges and valleys. The implant further includes a phalangeal component for securing against the proximal end of the proximal phalange, the phalangeal component having an interfacing surface with a plurality of ridges and valleys, wherein the ridges of the interfacing surface of the metatarsal component are received by the valleys of the interfacing surface of the phalangeal component to provide for a full range of motion in the sagittal plane but impede motion in the transverse plane.
