A cutting device is provided that includes a pair of cutting blades joined at a pivot point. The cutting blades are driven by an actuator to cause the cutting blades to pivot about the pivot point. The cutting device is configured to remove material underneath a surface of an implant installed on a bone during a revision arthroplasty procedure. The cutting device may travel along a length of the bone just underneath the surface of the implant to remove material and free the implant from the bone. A method for removing material underneath a surface of an implant installed on the bone is also provided. A system for removing material underneath the surface of an implant installed on the bone with the cutting device is also provided.

Pin placement holder for surgical pin driver

A surgical device for pin insertion in a bone of a subject to aid in performing a bone cutting procedure is provided that includes a drive portion configured to drive a pin for insertion into the bone. The drive portion has a pin drive assembly with a shaft Q having a shaft proximal end. At least one magnet is associated with the shaft proximal end adapted for attraction and retention of the pin in the shaft proximal end. A spindle assembly is adapted to drive the shaft so as to rotate the pin into the bone to a degree of bone retention that overcomes the attraction and the retention of the pin in the shaft proximal end. An alignment system for surgical bone cutting procedures inclusive of the same is also provided along with a method for aligning a cutting guide on a subject's bone.

Baseplate trial holding apparatus and knee joint implant surgical instrument set including the same

A baseplate trial holding apparatus which holds a baseplate trial disposed in a proximal tibia during total knee arthroplasty or revision total knee arthroplasty, and includes a keel location setting part for setting an insertion location of a keel punch, and a knee joint implant surgical instrument set including the same.

TIBIAL BASEPLATE FOR TIBIAL COMPONENT OF A KNEE PROSTHESIS, TIBIAL COMPONENT COMPRISING THE TIBIAL BASEPLATE AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE TIBIAL BASEPLATE

A tibial baseplate for tibial component of a knee prosthesis including: a bulk solid portion including a proximally facing surface adapted to accommodate a bearing element for the articulation of a femoral component of the knee prosthesis; a plurality of porous portions integral with the bulk solid portion having a porous portion contacting surface opposite to the proximally facing surface adapted to contact a proximal tibia. Advantageously, the plurality of porous portions are seamlessly incorporated and embedded in the bulk solid portion.

PROSTHETIC KNEE SPACER AND METHOD OF USING THE SAME

A spacer for a knee replacement prosthesis. The spacer may include a lower surface, which has a locking component adapted to interlock with a tibial tray, an upper surface, the upper surface having a pair of condyle support platforms; and a frame positioned therebetween for anchoring the upper and lower surfaces thereto, the frame having a hollowed center defined by internal cavities. In some exemplary embodiments, the spacer may further include a fluid delivery system for localized antibiotic treatment to the surrounding joint. The delivery system may include a reservoir disposed within the internal cavity, a septum operatively connected to the reservoir, and fluid delivery element for dispensing a liquid medicament from the reservoir to the surrounding infection. The fluid delivery system may interact with external components to refill, communicate with, and control the system.
