COMPRESSION GARMENT
A compression garment for a limb is disclosed. The garment can include a body portion and a spine portion. Each of the body and spine portions can have a plurality of bands (e.g. bands for adjusting tension of the garment). The spine portion can be releasably attached onto the body portion such that the spine portion is positionable at different locations on the body portion to adjust a width of the garment. The bands of the body portion and/ or of the spine portion can be trimmable and include a detachable fastener, whereby as a result the band can be caused to move to a plurality of different positions to adjust the garment to a plurality of different sized limbs (e.g. different sized feet).
Orthopedic device, strap system and method for securing the same
An orthopedic device includes a frame, a strap system including first and second straps connecting to the frame, and an adjustment mechanism couples to the first and second straps and simultaneously regulates tension in the first and second straps by moving the first and second straps relative to the frame. The strap system includes a length adjustment system for modifying the length of the strap.
Orthopedic device
An orthopedic device has a rigid or semi-rigid frame element defining opposed first and second sides, and is adapted to extend about at least a portion of a limb. The device includes straps formed from a variety of segments having stretchable and substantially inelastic segments. The straps adjustably secure to the frame element, and stretch relative thereto. The device also includes a central strap pad arranged to connect two straps together such that a first strap of the two straps is movable relative to a second strap, and the first and second straps are maintained diagonal relative to one another.
CUSTOMIZABLE KNEE BRACE INTENDED FOR PATIENTS WITH OSTEOARTHRITIS
A customizable knee brace for use in the treatment of osteoarthritis is provided. The customizable knee brace includes a lateral upright. The lateral upright includes at least a first semi-rigid support, a second semi-rigid support, and a hinge physically coupling the first semi-rigid support and the second semi-rigid support. The customizable knee brace further includes a thigh cuff constructed of formable material and coupled to the first semi-rigid support. The customizable knee brace further includes a shin cuff constructed of formable material and coupled to the second semi-rigid support. The customizable knee brace further includes an elastomeric web framework coupled to the lateral upright and configured to secure an area of a knee of a patient when wearing the customizable knee brace. The customizable knee brace further includes at least one tensioning element configured to adjust a tension of the elastomeric web framework.
Adjustable knee brace
A knee brace with an articulation assembly connectable with a first cuff movable with respect to the articulation assembly about a first location defining a first pivot axis between the first cuff and articulation assembly, and movable about a second location defining a first rotation axis between the first cuff and articulation assembly. The knee brace may have a second cuff connectable with the articulation assembly and movable with respect to the articulation assembly about a third location defining a second pivot axis between the second cuff and articulation assembly. The second cuff is movable about a fourth location defining a second rotation axis between the second cuff and articulation assembly. The first pivot axis and first rotation axis may intersect each other or be offset from intersecting each other, the second pivot axis and second rotation axis may intersect each other or be offset from intersecting.
HAND ORTHOSIS AND SYSTEM HAVING A HAND ORTHOSIS
A hand orthosis having a cuff for fixing the hand orthosis to a wrist joint or a lower arm of a wearer of the hand orthosis, at least one support brace that extends radially or ulnarly next to a hand of the wearer in the direction of an extension of the lower arm, at least one carrier element arranged on the support brace, and a functional element detachable fixed to the carrier element.
HAND ORTHOSIS AND METHOD FOR ADAPTING A HAND ORTHOSIS
A hand orthosis having a cuff for fixing the hand orthosis to a wrist joint or a lower arm of a wearer of the hand orthosis, at least one carrier element, and at least one hand support element that can be fixed to the carrier element. The hand support element includes a contour that is designed to be symmetrical to a longitudinal axis of the hand support element and includes a thumb support area on both sides of the longitudinal axis.
OPTICAL SCANNING MICROSCOPE AND EXAMINATION METHOD
An optical scanning microscope includes an illumination system having a light source portion emanating from a light source, first and second polarizing beam splitters, and first and second optical channels disposed between the beam splitters. The light source portion is configured to emit a first illumination light beam comprising light of a first and of a second main polarization direction. The first beam splitter is configured to guide the light of the first and second main polarization direction primarily into the first and channels, respectively. The second beam splitter is configured to form a second illumination light beam from light of the first and second main polarization directions from the first channel and second channels, respectively. The first and second channels are configured to emit the light of the first and second main polarization directions from the first and second channels, respectively, so as to have different convergence angles.
JOINT ORTHOSIS WITH MOVABLE PAD
The application relates to an active joint orthosis, particularly an orthosis for the hip joint, with an extended therapeutic function and including a joint splint with articulated arms that can be pivoted relative to one another and a pad that can be actively moved via a coupling joint or cam profile on one articulated arm.
BRACE LIMITING RANGE OF MOTION AND METHOD OF USING SAME
A brace is provided including an upper support arm, a lower support arm, and a hinge assembly. The hinge assembly includes an upper hinge plate coupled to the upper support arm and including a first plurality of teeth disposed along at least a portion of a perimeter of the upper hinge plate. The hinge assembly includes a lower hinge plate coupled to the lower support arm and including a second plurality of teeth disposed along at least a portion of a perimeter of the upper hinge plate. The hinge assembly includes an axle rotatably coupling the upper and lower hinge plates. The hinge assembly includes a locking element disposed on the upper hinge plate and including first and second protrusions configured to physically contact opposite sides of one of the second plurality of teeth in a first orientation, thereby prohibiting relative rotation between the upper and lower support arms.
