Smart Custom Orthotic
A portable customizable smart helmet, cap or splint for wound care, trauma and critical care.
Knee Distractor Apparatus and Method
An apparatus and method for distraction (stretching and/or straightening) of injured or repaired knee joints. The apparatus comprises pneumatic or hydraulic cylinders designed to be disposed on either side of a leg with a knee to be treated to stretch the leg joint when the cylinders are activated.
PNEUMATIC CERVICAL COLLAR
A collar device and method of use is provided comprising a tubular structure having a longitudinal axis, the tubular structure comprising a pneumatic bottom portion configured for contouring with human shoulders; a pneumatic top portion having a first section, and a second section extending from the first section; and a plurality of pneumatic pillars each generally aligned with the longitudinal axis of the tubular structure, the plurality of pneumatic pillars each having a proximal end in proximity to the bottom portion and each having a distal end in proximity to either one of the first section or the second section of the top portion.
Heel Protector and Corresponding Rehabilitation Systems and Methods for Using the Same
A heel protector (100) includes a leg engaging section (101) and a foot engaging section (102) intersecting at a heel receiver (103). The leg engaging section (101) and the foot engaging section (102) define a leg insertion aperture (104). The leg engaging section (101) defines at least one aperture (203) disposed in an ankle region (205) to permit a connection tube (1002) extending from an inflatable bladder (901) of a compression device (800) to pass therethrough. The heel protector (100) and compression device (800) work together as a rehabilitation system (1300).
Vacuum-Molded and Reusable Limb Protecting Pad
A vacuum-molded and reusable limb protecting pad includes an airtight bag body, the locating components are spaced each other to divide a containing space in the bag body into a plurality of locating spaces which are spaced but communicated with each other for being filled with granules; an air nozzle whose bottom is sealed airtightly, and the air nozzle being internally provided with an air channel which is used for communicating the inside and the outside of the bag body and can be switched into a state of communication or non-communication; a filter screen, arranged at a position corresponding to the air channel, the sieve size of the filter screen being less than the particle sizes of the granules; and at least one tightening component, capable of enabling the limb protecting pad to stably surround and cling to the surface of a limb.
Buoyancy-based cervical traction system
A buoyancy-based cervical traction system has a floatation and a head rest supported by the flotation system. The head rest is adapted to support a person's head above the neck and apply traction to the neck when the person is in a body of liquid. The system has a position adjustment system adapted to allow selective adjustment of the position at which the person's head rest will be relative to an upper surface of the liquid when the person and the cervical traction system are in the liquid, the person's head is supported by the head rest, and the cervical traction system and person are floating in the liquid at equilibrium.
Heel Protector and Corresponding Rehabilitation Systems and Methods for Using the Same
A device (100) includes a leg engaging section (101) and a foot engaging section (102) intersecting at a heel receiver (103). The leg engaging section and the foot engaging section define a leg insertion aperture (104). A compressible cushion layer (402) is disposed at least in the leg engaging section. At least one bolster tube (401) is disposed interior the leg engaging section. The bolster tube (401) can be selectively removable through one or more apertures (1105,1106).
UNIVERSAL SIZE VACUUM SEALED WATERPROOF CAST AND BANDAGE COVER
A method and apparatus includes an elastic cover configured to be positioned around a bandaged leg. A pump may be positioned within the elastic cover and configured to evacuate air from an interior space defined by the elastic cover when the elastic cover is positioned around the leg.
INFLATABLE SPLINT FOR MEDICAL TREATMENT
An inflatable splint can include a sleeve shaped to conform to a specific human body part and a plurality of inflatable chambers disposed on the sleeve. The sleeve, in cooperation with the plurality of chambers in an inflated condition, can be contoured to maintain the specific human body part in a desired position. A method of using an inflatable splint includes admitting a body part into a sleeve of the inflatable splint and positioning the sleeve around the body part One or more of the plurality of air chambers are selectively inflated such that the flexible sleeve in cooperation with the plurality of chambers in inflated condition is contoured and positioned to maintain the specific human body part in a desired position.
Inflatable Brace
An inflatable brace. The inflatable brace including a flexible variably inflatable membrane elongated in a first direction and a second direction, the flexible variably inflatable membrane being fastenable around an object and inflatable to provide particular structural support to the object and an inflatable channel disposed between a first layer of the variably inflatable membrane and a second layer of the variably inflatable membrane, the inflatable channel comprising a predetermined arrangement of segregated inflatable sub-channels that are segregated by a plurality of dividers, the arrangement of segregated inflatable sub-channels, when inflated, providing the particular structural support to the object.
