Heel protector and corresponding rehabilitation systems and methods for using the same
A device (100) includes a leg engaging section (101) and a foot engaging section (102) intersecting at a heel receiver (103). The leg engaging section and the foot engaging section define a leg insertion aperture (104). A compressible cushion layer (402) is disposed at least in the leg engaging section. At least one bolster tube (401) is disposed interior the leg engaging section. The bolster tube (401) can be selectively removable through one or more apertures (1105,1106).
BRACE HAVING AN INFLATION CONTROL
Systems, methods, and devices are described for providing a brace having an inflation control. The control directs fluid flow from an inflation component to one or more inflatable cells of the brace. The inflatable cells are independently inflated and deflated by the inflation component through the control. The control allows a user to create a fluid path between the inflation component and one of the inflatable cells by positioning the control in an orientation corresponding to the desired inflatable cells. Each inflatable cell is independently inflated and deflated in various orientations of the control.
Inflatable splint for medical treatment
An inflatable splint can include a sleeve shaped to conform to a specific human body part and a plurality of inflatable chambers disposed on the sleeve. The sleeve, in cooperation with the plurality of chambers in an inflated condition, can be contoured to maintain the specific human body part in a desired position. A method of using an inflatable splint includes admitting a body part into a sleeve of the inflatable splint and positioning the sleeve around the body part One or more of the plurality of air chambers are selectively inflated such that the flexible sleeve in cooperation with the plurality of chambers in inflated condition is contoured and positioned to maintain the specific human body part in a desired position.
LUMBAR SUPPORT BELT
A lumbar support belt includes a lumbar belt unit and two elastic supporting units. The lumbar belt unit has a lumbar belt body, two fixing portions and two mounting portions. The lumbar belt body has flexibility. The two fixing portions are respectively disposed at two opposite ends of the lumbar belt body. The two mounting portions are respectively located between the two opposite ends and the middle portion of the lumbar belt body. The two elastic supporting units are respectively disposed on the two mounting portions and can provide an upward supporting force. Each of the elastic supporting units includes a supporting member capable of abutting against an armpit of a user. Accordingly, the weight of the upper body of the user can be transferred to the lumbar belt unit so as to provide support to the lumbar of the user.
Splint For Immobilizing A Limb Of A User
A splint for use on a forearm, a wrist, and a hand of a user, including a rigid shell assembly with dorsal and a volar shell bodies, the dorsal and volar shell bodies each including a forearm portion, a wrist portion, and a hand portion. The dorsal and volar shell bodies are configured to releasably receive the forearm, wrist, and hand of the user therebetween. A dorsal compressible assembly and a volar compressible assembly extend along the inner surfaces of the dorsal and volar shell bodies, respectively. The volar compressible assembly includes an inflatable forearm bladder, an inflatable wrist bladder, and an inflatable hand bladder, each of which includes a valve to allow each of the inflatable bladders to be inflated independently of the other inflatable bladders.
IMMOBILIZATION DEVICE UTILIZING A SPLINT AND PILLOW COMBINATION
The present invention provides a combination of a splint and a pillow for use in treating and immobilizing a patient. The combination includes a first portion encased in an airtight container and a second portion also encased in an airtight container. The first portion and the second portion are interconnected by an air flow valve having a air flow regulator for controlling airflow between the portions. The first portion may include bean-bag or similar splint and the second portion includes a foam component. The two portions share the same air such that when the first portion is inflated, the second portion is deflated. Wherein, upon opening of the airflow regulator, the air pressure passes between the first portion, deflating the first portion, into the second portion, thus inflating the second portion.
JOINT SEPARATOR FOR BODY ALIGNMENT
A spinal treatment system includes a traction device, an exercise device adapted for imparting curvature to the lumbar or sacral spine of a user and for manipulating the spine and intervertebral discs with decompression force, and a cushion coupled to the traction device and configured to bear against one or both of a head of the user and the thoracic spine of the user. The exercise device includes a frame for placement on the floor. A pad or inflatable bladder is carried by the top surface of the frame. A body strap attachment portion encompasses the thoracic-sacral spinal vertebrae region of the user and secures the frame to the user. The cushion includes one or more pad sections or inflatable bladder sections.
ORTHOTIC DEVICE FOR USE WITH USER-OPERATED TOOL
An orthotic device is coupleable to a fastener installation tool and is configured to be worn on an appendage of a user of the fastener installation tool. The orthotic device is configurable between a relaxed state and a rigid state, and includes at least one activation component responsive to an activation signal output by a controller in communication with the fastener installation tool. The at least one activation component changes the orthotic device from the relaxed state to the rigid state in response to operation of the fastener installation tool.
