Absorbent article with recessed body conforming structure

An absorbent article includes a body side liner, a back sheet, an absorbent body positioned between the body side liner and the back sheet, and a distribution layer positioned between the absorbent body and the back sheet. The absorbent body defines a first opening having an opening length that is at least 50% the absorbent body length. The first opening has a median anterior portion width that is greater than a median central portion width that is greater than a median posterior portion width. The first opening includes a well, a channel, and a taper. The well transitions into the channel via a first convex transition and a concave transition. The channel transitions into the taper via a second convex transition.

Extra-protection fins and pads, and methods of making and using extra-protection fins and pads are disclosed. The extra-protection fins and pads of the present invention comprise a first triangular face, a second triangular face attached and/or connected to the first triangular face at an angle thereby forming a front apex and a top apex, wherein the fins are configured such that the front apex catches and/or absorbs the menstrual and/or other vaginal fluids first, and the extra-protection fin fills backwards toward the top apex, thus preventing unwanted, embarrassing and annoying leakage onto clothing or bedding during periods of heavy flow and/or when lying down. The extra-protection fin may also comprise a third triangular face attached and/or connected to the first and second triangular faces, wherein a vertex of the third triangular face contacts and/or is connected to the first and second triangular faces at the top apex.

INCONTINENCE PAD WITH VARYING THICKNESS PROFILE

The incontinence pad comprises a fluid permeable topsheet, a backsheet and an absorbent core being located between the topsheet and the backsheet. The absorbent core comprises a first core layer and a fluid control layer. The first core layer comprises 100 gsm superabsorbent material or more. The absorbent core has a varying thickness profile as seen in the longitudinal direction (L), with a first thickness (T1) in the intermediate portion and a second thickness (T2) in the rear portion. The first thickness (T1) in the intermediate portion is from 9 mm or more and the second thickness (T2) is 4 mm or less, as measured under a load of load of 0.5 kPa. The region which has the second thickness (T2) extends 30 mm or more in the longitudinal direction (L) from the core rear edge and toward the core front edge.

Disposable hygiene article with improved fit

The present invention relates to a disposable hygiene article comprising a pair of curved compression lines in a rear portion of the article. The article has a core with a first region which has its narrowest width (M) in the transverse direction (x) in a front portion or at a location of a transition between the front portion and a crotch portion of the article. The absorbent core in the rear portion comprises the first (L1, R1) and second (L2, R2) pairs of rear compression lines, which extend in a longitudinal direction (y) between respective front and rear endpoints. A transverse distance (G3min) separates the rear endpoints of the pair of compression lines whilst a second, larger distance (G3max) separates the front endpoints of the compression lines.

A compressed groove point (16) where compressed grooves (12) formed bilaterally and symmetrically on both sides of a center line (CL) in a lengthwise direction of a sanitary napkin (1) or lines extended from center lines of the compressed grooves (12) intersect with each other at a position corresponding to a front end (31) of a intergluteal cleft of a wearer is formed, and a right and left pair of outline inflection points (17) is formed in an outline of a rear end of the sanitary napkin (1) formed into a bilateral and symmetric wavelike shape. Easy deformation parts (18) that facilitate generation of a deformation in a transverse direction of the sanitary napkin (1) and are formed of the compressed grooves that become base edges of the deformation, are provided on or in the vicinity of two virtual lines (S) connecting the compressed groove base point (16) to the outline inflection points (17) on right and left sides, respectively, such that a distance between the two virtual lines (S) gradually increases toward a rea side.

A body shape enhancing apparatus for creating a space between the thighs and simultaneously providing multiple shape enhancements is described. The body shape enhancing apparatus comprises an outer shell casing comprising a top outer shell casing, a bottom outer shell casing, a font section, a middle section and rear section. The outer shell casing body is configured to cover a wearers undercarriage from the pelvic area to about the anus. The rear section comprises a protrusion from a top of the rear base section, the protrusion supported by a similar shape internal support protrusion.

Adult absorbent articles and arrays thereof

An array of absorbent articles each having a topsheet, a backsheet, and an absorbent core is described. A first absorbent article has a first physical feature disposed between the topsheet and the absorbent core, and a second absorbent article has a second physical feature disposed between the topsheet and the absorbent core. The first physical feature has a first length between 27 and 77 percent of a first absorbent core length. The second physical feature has a second length between 27 and 77 percent of a second absorbent core length. The first length is less than the second length, and the first physical feature comprises a convex portion oriented toward a first end of the first absorbent article and/or the second physical feature comprises a convex portion oriented toward a first end of the second absorbent article.
