ABSORBENT ARTICLE
An absorbent article in which an absorbent body is provided between a liquid permeable topsheet and a backsheet, includes an absorbent body emboss provided from a front surface side of the absorbent body before stacking the liquid permeable topsheet to surround an area corresponding to a body fluid expelling portion; and a front surface emboss, formed separately from the absorbent body emboss and not to overlap the absorbent body emboss, provided from a front surface side of the liquid permeable topsheet.
Absorbent article having traverse reinforcing element
An absorbent article having a front end region, a rear end region, a central region disposed between the front and rear end regions, a fluids source area, and a transverse axis and a longitudinal axis. The absorbent article includes a topsheet, a backsheet, an absorbent core disposed between the topsheet and the backsheet, and a reinforcing structure disposed within the central region. In one aspect of the invention, the reinforcing structure includes a pair of traverse reinforcing elements each of which is formed by two traverse channels. The two traverse channels may be disposed generally parallel to the transverse axis with a reinforcement distance such that the absorbent core has an average density of in the range of about 5% to about 500% higher at the traverse reinforcing element than the fluids source area.
Disposable absorbent article with surge layer including at least one barrier
A disposable absorbent article includes a bodyside liner, an outer cover, an absorbent body disposed between the bodyside liner and the outer cover, and a surge layer disposed between the bodyside liner and the absorbent body, the surge layer having an X-Y plane, a Z-direction, and a longitudinal direction, and a barrier extending substantially through the surge material in the Z-direction, wherein the barrier is configured to block at least one linear longitudinal fluid flow path. The surge layer can alternatively have a plurality of barriers extending substantially through the surge material in the Z-direction, wherein the plurality of barriers is configured to block a plurality of linear longitudinal fluid flow paths or all linear longitudinal fluid flow paths while allowing non-linear fluid flow paths in the longitudinal direction.
Configurable absorbent articles having improved bodily exudate visualization
Configurable absorbent articles with improved bodily exudate visualization when viewing a wearer-facing surface are provided. The absorbent articles include a liquid permeable topsheet forming a portion of a wearer-facing surface of the absorbent article, a liquid permeable backsheet, and an absorbent core positioned at least partially intermediate the liquid permeable topsheet and the liquid permeable backsheet. The wearer-facing surface exhibits a Delta C* of greater than about 24 and less than about 50 when the absorbent article is subjected to a Bodily Exudate Visualization Test.
Incontinence pad with varying thickness profile
The incontinence pad comprises a fluid permeable topsheet, a backsheet and an absorbent core being located between the topsheet and the backsheet. The absorbent core comprises a first core layer and a fluid control layer. The first core layer comprises 100 gsm superabsorbent material or more. The absorbent core has a varying thickness profile as seen in the longitudinal direction (L), with a first thickness (T1) in the intermediate portion and a second thickness (T2) in the rear portion. The first thickness (T1) in the intermediate portion is from 9 mm or more and the second thickness (T2) is 4 mm or less, as measured under a load of load of 0.5 kPa. The region which has the second thickness (T2) extends 30 mm or more in the longitudinal direction (L) from the core rear edge and toward the core front edge.
FEMININE PAD WITH BARRIER CUFFS
A disposable absorbent article having barrier cuffs is disclosed herein. The disposable absorbent article has improved pad curl characteristics which can facilitate application of the disposable absorbent article.

Absorbent pads comprising zones of differential absorbent capacity
An absorbent sanitary pad with side flaps having a higher basis weight of superabsorbent polymer in correspondence with the wings end points which helps reducing side leakage.
Absorbent pads comprising zones of differential absorbent capacity
An folded absorbent sanitary pad having a lower basis weight of superabsorbent polymer in correspondence with the folding lines which helps reducing the stiffness of the article caused by the folding lines.
