10940048 · 2021-03-09 · ·

Dressings for tissue treatment with negative pressure and methods of assembling the dressings for tissue treatment with negative pressure are disclosed. A method of assembling a dressing, which may comprise at least three layers assembled in a stacked relationship, may comprise providing an assembly station having at least one retaining pin, placing a first layer on the assembly station, placing a second layer on the assembly station, and bonding the second layer to the first layer. The first layer may comprise a plurality of apertures, at least some of which may be engaged by the retaining pins, and the second layer may comprise fluid restrictions and alignment areas for engaging with the retaining pins so that the fluid restrictions may be aligned with the apertures of the third layer.

PROTECTIVE INSERT AND A GARMENT INCLUDING SUCH PROTECTIVE INSERT

A protective insert (10) operatively attachable to an inner, body-facing layer of a garment. The protective insert generally comprises, a first, operatively inner layer (12) comprising a moisture-wicking, odour resistance, fluid absorbent fibre with or without a waterproof laminate-film; and a second, operatively outer layer (14) comprising a breathable, odour resistant, water repellent fibre to further prevent fluid passage through the garment; wherein the operatively inner layer faces the body of a user while the operatively outer layer faces away from the body of a user, in use.

ORGANIC COTTON SURFACE NURSING PAD
20200197237 · 2020-06-25 ·

Described is a cotton surface nursing pad having both a proximal side and distal side. The proximal side is formed of a surface layer made of certified organic cotton, while the distal side is formed of a leakproof film later. Sandwiched between the surface layer and leakproof film layer are a first tissue layer, an absorbent core layer, and a second tissue layer. Notably, the absorbent core layer is formed of a combination of super absorbent polymer and fluff pulp, while the certified organic cotton is woven together using a half-cross pattern to form the surface layer.

FABRIC, PROTECTIVE GARMENTS MADE THEREFROM, AND METHODS OF MAKING

Disclosed herein are protective garments comprising an inner surface or portion of an inner surface with both absorbent and stain resistant properties while maintaining the soft feel, breathability and aesthetic properties associated with traditional non protective intimate apparel. The fabrics and methods of constructing the garments are also disclosed herein.

ANTI-MICROBIAL, SENSOR AND PROCESS THEREFORE
20200170848 · 2020-06-04 ·

A process for preventing multiplication of a bacteria, virus, or fungus, via: embedding Cu+ and Cu+++ ions into a material; contacting the bacteria, virus, or fungus with the material; and diffusing the Cu+ and Cu+++ ions into a cell and thereby reducing a biological energy-producing ability of the cell, via creating an inhibitory protein molecular structure degrading a membrane anatomy of the cell, thus suffocating the cell, thus protecting a skin from infection and preventing multiplication of the bacteria, virus, or fungus. Also described is a process for sensing: a load, a strain, or a liquid, on a fabric, that includes forming the fabric comprising a multi-walled nanomaterial tube copper bio-sensor via: spacing apart from one another, rows of multi-walled nanofibers, the rows of multi-wall nanofibers comprising copper; and spacing a continuous filament apart from and disposed substantially perpendicular to the rows of multi-walled nanofibers.

ABSORBENT ARTICLE

In an embodiment, a material includes at least one outer section and a midsection attached to the outer section. The midsection includes a first antimicrobial membrane patch layer configured to contact a body, a second antimicrobial membrane patch layer disposed adjacent to the first antimicrobial patch layer, and an air gap disposed between the first patch and second antimicrobial patch layers. The first and second antimicrobial patch layers each are formed from respective balanced warp tows and fill tows in a plain-weave pattern, and each layer include copper filaments disposed in a plurality of the tows, each of the copper filaments including at least Cu+ or Cu+++ ions. Such a material may be suitable for notification and protection of a body from a soil deposited on the material.

DURABLE ABSORBENT PANT

This invention relates to features of durable absorbent pants (for example, underwear briefs) to be worn for containing and absorbing discharges resulting from urinary incontinence, where the pants exhibit acceptable absorbency and improved bending properties.

PEEL AND PLACE DRESSING FOR NEGATIVE-PRESSURE TREATMENT
20190231601 · 2019-08-01 ·

A dressing for treating a tissue site with negative pressure may comprise a tissue interface comprising a three-dimensional textile of polyester fibers and a polymer coating on the polyester fibers. In some examples, the three-dimensional textile may be a three-dimensional weave of polyester fibers, and the polymer coating may be hydrophobic. In more particular embodiments, the polymer coating may be silicone or polyethylene, for example. The dressing may additionally include a drape disposed over the tissue interface and a port fluidly coupled to the tissue interface through the drape. The tissue interface may be applied over a tissue site, and therapeutic levels of negative pressure may be applied to the tissue site through the tissue interface.
