Transfer device valve
A valve is disclosed, the valve comprising a housing having an first opening and a second opening, and an elastomeric member positioned in the housing, the elastomeric member comprising a thickness, a continuous peripheral wall projecting from the thickness, and a slit extending through the thickness, a continuous portion of the peripheral wall creating a continuous sealable contact with the housing and partitioning the housing into an upper section and a lower section, the elastomeric member configured such that upon creating a pressure differential between the upper section and the lower section of the housing causes either: (i) the peripheral wall to deflect from the housing permitting fluid flow around the elastomeric member; or (ii) the slit to open permitting fluid flow through the elastomeric member. Methods using the valve are also disclosed.

Adaptor for removal of fluid from vial using a needle-free syringe
A needle-free adaptor for removing liquid from a vial comprises a cannula adapted to piece a septum of a vial, a plurality of legs surrounding the cannula to secure the adaptor to the vial when the cannula has pieced the septum, an elastomeric membrane having a normally closed pinhole orifice, and a conforming surface having an orifice connected to the cannula. The elastomeric membrane has a stable convex shape and is adapted to receive a nozzle of a needle-free device. Pressed against the elastomeric membrane, the nozzle deflects the elastomeric membrane from the convex shape to an unstable or pseudo-stable inverted position against the conforming surface. Buckling of the elastomeric membrane opens the pinhole orifice and enables fluid communication between the vial and the nozzle by interfacing the pinhole orifice with the orifice on the conforming surface.
CONNECTION ASSEMBLY FOR DIRECTING A MEDICAL LIQUID
A connection assembly configured to deliver a medical liquid to a container is described. The connection assembly includes a connecting member connected to the container, an attachment member, and a sealing element. The attachment member defines a lumen, a first end to be connected to a delivery device, and a second end connected to the connecting member. The sealing element is disposed in the lumen of the attachment member and includes a sealing head, a flange, and a foot portion. The sealing head seals the lumen of the attachment member, and the flange and the foot portion engage the connecting member.
Syringe Adapter with Cap
A syringe adapter is provided. The adapter includes a housing having a first end and a second end positioned opposite the first end. The first end of the housing has a connector configured to be secured to a syringe barrel. The adapter also includes a cannula positioned within the housing and a seal arrangement including a membrane or septum positioned within the housing and movable within the housing, the seal arrangement comprising a membrane. The assembly can also include a protective cap having a first open end and a second closed end. The protective cap can be connected to the housing via a snap fit and can be configured to receive the second end of the housing.
Closed System Stress Resistant Membrane
A membrane for use in connection with a closed system transfer device has a body with a proximal portion opposite a distal portion along a central axis and a skirt extending radially outward from the distal end such that a lip is formed at a transition between the proximal portion and the distal portion. The membrane further has at least one well recessed in a proximal direction from a distal end of the distal portion, thereby forming a channel within the distal portion having an open first end, a closed bottom end, and a pair of sidewalls extending between the first end and the second end. At least one slit extends through at least a portion of the body in a direction of a plane aligned along or parallel to the central axis.
CONNECTION ASSEMBLY FOR CONDUCTING A MEDICAL LIQUID
A connection assembly for conducting a medical liquid, comprising a connection piece, an attachment part attached to the connection piece; an opening into which the connection piece engages; and a seal element for sealing a passage between the connection piece and the attachment part. The seal element is held between the attachment part and the connection piece and has a sealing head, which closes the opening of the attachment part against the passage of liquid when the attachment part is attached to the connection piece, and a body, which adjoins the sealing head and which can be arranged in the opening at a radial distance to the attachment part.
CONNECTION ASSEMBLY FOR DIRECTING A MEDICAL LIQUID
The invention relates to a connection assembly for directing a medical liquid that includes a connector through which a medical liquid can be delivered, an attachment part that can be connected to connector and is attachable to a delivery device for delivery of a medical liquid through the connector, and has an opening in which the connector engages with the attachment part, and a sealing element for sealing the transition between the connector and the attachment part. The sealing element can be inserted into the opening of the attachment part in an insertion direction in such a manner that the sealing element is held between the attachment part and the connector with the attachment part attached to the connector.
Anti-reflux vial adaptors
In certain embodiments, a vial adaptor comprises a housing member, a connector configured to couple the adaptor with a vial, and an extractor channel formed in the housing member. The extractor channel is configured to facilitate withdrawal of fluid from the vial when the adaptor is coupled to the vial. In some embodiments, an anti-reflux valve is positioned within the extractor channel. The anti-reflux valve can be configured to impede or obstruct fluid returning to a fluid source after withdrawal of the fluid from the fluid source.
ADAPTER
An arm (20) that faces a male member (10) is provided with a claw (30) that protrudes toward the male member (10). An adapter (1) can be connected to a female connector with the male member being inserted into the female connector and the claw engaging with the female connector. The arm is elastically deformable so that the claw can move away from the male member. The claw includes a slidable portion (33a) that slides on the female connector during a process in which the adapter is connected to the female connector. The slidable portion moves the claw in a direction away from the male connector while the slidable portion slides on the female connector. A contour shape of the slidable portion seen in a direction that is orthogonal to a central axis (1a) that passes through the male member includes a smooth convex curve.
