FLUID TRANSFER DEVICE
An injector including: a housing having an exterior wall, with pairs of slots formed therein, each pair of slots being diametrically opposed to each other; a needle hub having an exterior wall and an interior wall extending interiorly across the exterior wall, forming upper and lower compartments; a first needle extending upwardly from the interior wall, into the upper compartment, a second needle extending downwardly from the interior wall into the lower compartment, the interior wall having an opening forming a fluid passageway; a first cartridge and a second cartridge, each having a plunger and a pierceable cap; a base member having a base bottom wall with a plunger wall extending upwardly therefrom. The first cartridge is inserted into the base member such that the plunger seats on the plunger rod, and the second cartridge is in the housing with the pierceable cap of the second cartridge facing the first needle.
Closed fluid transfer system
A closed fluid transfer system for fluidly interconnecting a syringe to any one of a patient I.V. set, a vial and an I.V. bag, is provided and includes a first adapter defining a lumen and supporting a seal across a first end of its lumen, the first adapter supporting a rear end of a needle within the lumen, wherein the seal is movable relative to the needle such that a tip of the needle penetrates through the seal; and a second adapter defining a lumen and supporting a seal across a first end of its lumen; wherein when the second adapter is coupled to the first adapter, the second adapter seal abuts the first adapter seal and moves the first adapter seal relative to the tip of the needle such that the tip of the needle penetrates through the abutting first adapter seal and second adapter seal.
Connector for system for closed transfer of fluids
A system for closed transfer of fluids includes a syringe adapter including a cannula having a first end and a second end with the second end positioned within the housing, and a seal arrangement positioned within the housing and movable within the housing with the seal arrangement including a membrane. The system including a second component including a membrane and a locking mechanism. The second component configured to be received by the syringe adapter such that the membrane of the seal arrangement engages the membrane of the second component. The locking mechanism including a biasing member and an engagement member positioned on the biasing member, with the engagement member configured to engage a portion of the housing of the syringe adapter to secure the second component to the syringe adapter when the second component is received by the syringe adapter.
VIAL ADAPTOR WITH VALVE
The invention relates to a vial adaptor. The vial adaptor comprises a syringe connection port. The syringe connection port is configured to be connected to a syringe. The vial adaptor further comprises a vial connection port. The vial connection port comprises a skirt and a spike. The spike has a lumen forming a fluid channel. The vial adaptor further comprises a conduit configured to provide fluid flow between the syringe connection port and the vial connection port. The vial adaptor further comprises a valve for selectively blocking and allowing fluid flow between the syringe and the conduit through the syringe connection port when the syringe is connected to the syringe connection port. This constitutes an improved solution for connecting a syringe and a vial.
DRUG MIXING UNIT FOR SYRINGE
A drug mixing unit for a syringe is disclosed. The drug mixing unit contains a barrel member having a first flow path through which a liquid drug is to be pushed in; and a plug member having an insertion part inserted into the barrel member, the insertion part having a second flow path, for drawing out a drug mixture, formed on inner side thereof and a through hole, connected to the second flow path, formed on one surface thereof, wherein the plug member is connected to the barrel member to form a predetermined drug mixing space, the drug mixing space has a drug to be mixed with the liquid drug that has been pushed in through the first flow path. The unit also contain a third flow path, through which the drug mixture flows from the drug mixing space to the through hole.
FLUID TRANSFER STATION IN A ROBOTIC PHARMACEUTICAL PREPARATION SYSTEM
A robotic system and method are provided for transfer of fluid between a container accessible via a container-septum and a fluid transfer assembly accessible via a fluid transfer connector septum. The robotic system includes a controller and a manipulator controllable by the controller to manipulate at least one of the container and the fluid transfer assembly. The controller is configured to operate the manipulator to secure contact between the container-septum and the fluid transfer connector septum during at least a portion of the transfer of the fluid.

The controller is configured to operate the manipulator to secure contact between the container-septum and the fluid transfer connector septum during at least a portion of the transfer of the fluid.
Pressure-regulating vial access devices and methods
In certain embodiments, a vial access device for removing liquid contents from a vial includes a piercing member extending from a base of an insertion member and a reservoir. The reservoir can be contained within the piercing member and the insertion member, such that the reservoir is introduced to the vial when piercing member is inserted into the vial. The piercing member is adapted to be opened inside the vial to expose the reservoir to the contents inside the vial. A locking mechanism can prevent the piercing member from being inserted into the vial unless the vial access device is fully coupled to the vial and/or prevent the piercing member from being withdrawn from the vial without uncoupling the vial access device from the vial.
MULTI-VIAL CONNECTOR
A multi-vial connector includes a main body, the upper side of which is coupled to a liquid medication extraction device, a plurality of sub-bodies arranged around the main body, a spike formed at the sub-body and inserted into a vial, and a liquid medication flow channel extending from the spike to the main body through the sub-body. A liquid medication can be extracted from a plurality of vials at the same time in a safe and convenient manner. The safety, convenience, and rapidity for extracting a liquid medication may be improved.
SEPTUM HOLDERS FOR USE IN SYRINGE CONNECTORS
Some embodiments relate to a septum holder comprising a body, a septum attached to the body, and an insert comprising at least one bore configured to form a seat of a needle valve. The insert can be held in place between at least a portion of the septum and at least a portion of the body.
