Liquid drug transfer devices employing manual rotation for dual flow communication step actuations
Liquid drug transfer devices employing manual rotation of a drug vial adapter with respect to a liquid container adapter for dual flow communication step actuation for establishing flow communication between a liquid container containing liquid contents and an initially intact, namely, non-punctured, drug vial. Manual rotation compacts a liquid drug transfer device along a longitudinal device axis for urging a puncturing tip through a drug vial stopper during a drug vial flow communication step for flow communication with a drug vial interior. Manual rotation also executes a liquid container flow communication step for flow communication with a liquid container, therefore establishing flow communication between a drug vial and a liquid container.
DEVICE FOR LOADING MEDICAL CONTAINERS IN DOSING MACHINES, ADAPTER FOR THE CONTAINERS, SUPPORT FOR THE ADAPTERS AND USE THEREOF
A device for loading medical containers on dosing machines, includes an adaptor for medical containers and a support for the adaptor, in which the support includes an attachment means to the dosing machine and in which the adaptor and the support include means for pivoting relative to one another and means for clipping to each other. The means being arranged in such a way that the pivoting of the adaptor and of the support by means of the pivoting means produces the clipping together of the adaptor and the support.
Liquid-transfer adapter beveled spike
A liquid-transfer adapter operatively interposable between an injector and a vial is provided. The liquid-transfer has an injector engaging portion configured for fluidly coupling to an injector and a vial coupling. The vial coupling includes a spike that has a spike axis and a tip portion configured for piercing a septum of a vial. The tip portion includes a plurality of facets that meet each other at one or more edges and at least one of the one or more edges is sloped with respect to the spike axis. The spike defines a channel extending therethrough in fluid communication with the injector engaging portion. A channel opening is defined in at least one of the facets and disposed without interrupting the edges.
MIXING AND/OR TRANSFERRING DEVICE
A device for mixing a first substance and a second substance, or for transferring at least one of the substances, which are present in a first or second receptacle, the device including a first adapter with a circumferential wall, along which extends a cannula body, and a hollow-cylindrical section that is connected to the cannula body; a second adapter with a circumferential wall, along which extends a cannula body; and a hollow-cylindrical section that is connected to the cannula body; when the first and the second adapter are assembled, the hollow-cylindrical sections inter-engage in a liquid-tight manner, and the first and the second adapter are connected to each other in a detachably screwed manner.
Integrated medicine mixing interface
An integrated medicine mixing interface comprising a medicine mixing mouth (1), hard double interfaces (2) and a medicine feed needle (3). The hard double interfaces (2) comprise a base (21), a medicine mixing interface (22) and an infusion interface (23). The medicine mixing mouth (1) and the medicine mixing interface (22) are integrated. When using the integrated medicine mixing interface, it is only necessary to weld the base (21) to the bag body of a soft infusion bag (11) and integrate the medicine mixing mouth (1) with the medicine mixing interface on the hard double interfaces (2) without adopting a hose connection and an easily folding handle, which not only reduces hose installation location, but also avoids welding leakage brought about by hose welding defects. Moreover, the structure is simple and the costs are low.
Adapter for a transfer device for a fluid, and transfer device
The invention relates to an adapter (1) for a transfer device (20) for a fluid, for the connection of a container (17) containing the fluid, wherein the container (17) is closed by a pierceable closure element (18), and the adapter (1) has an attachment (4) which can be fitted sealingly, in an attachment direction, onto a container mouth closed by the closure element. A penetration element (6) is mounted on the attachment (4) in such a way that the penetration element (6) is movable, with the aid of guide means, between a rest position (R) and a withdrawal position (E), wherein the penetration element (6) has a hollow needle (9) with which the closure element (18) can be pierced in the withdrawal position (E). The adapter (1) has a connector stub (3) with a coupling for the fluid-tight connection of a further adapter (1′), and a transfer channel (10) runs from a mouth on the connector stub (3) to a mouth on the hollow needle (9), such that the mouth of the transfer channel (10) on the connector stub (3) communicates with an interior of the connected container (17) in the withdrawal position (E) of the penetration element (6). The invention is characterized in that the connector stub (3) is arranged transversely, in particular substantially perpendicularly, with respect to the attachment direction (H), preferably on the penetration element (6).
Connection device
In a connection device, when a cannula holding member is in a use state, a position of an end portion of an outer cylindrical portion on a retracted position side does not protrude to the retracted position side, with respect to a position of an end portion of an inner cylindrical portion on the retracted position side. Thereby, a connection device including a structure capable of holding a vial by holding means irrespective of the size of the vial can be provided.
SMART VIAL ADAPTER AND METHOD
A smart vial adapter is capable of measuring the dose of a drug that is withdrawn from a vial, measuring the time of a dose capture event, monitoring the vial temperature, measuring the amount of motion or perturbation the vial is subjected to, capturing various other parameters that can provide additional insights associated with the drug or the amount of the dose being drawn from the vial, and communicating the recorded information to a companion application on a computer, smartphone or other device. Related methods are also disclosed and claimed.
UNIVERSAL FLUID CONTAINER ADAPTER
Various embodiments are generally directed to fluid container adapters that couple with a fluid container and enable different systems, such as endoscopic systems, to access the contents of the fluid container, such as via a tubing set. Several embodiments are particularly directed to a fluid container adapter that punctures a fluid container to couple with and gain access to the contents of the fluid container. In one embodiment, for example, a platform may be used to support a fluid container as one or more penetration members attached to a crossmember are advanced into the fluid container along rails connected between the platform and the crossmember. In such embodiments, the one or more penetration members may include lumens to enable a tubing set to access the contents of the fluid container.
Connector for fluid communication
A fluid connector for selectively establishing fluid communication between a first medical container and a second medical container is provided. The fluid connector includes an adapter configured to removably attach to the first container. The adapter includes an access port and a cap. The connector further includes an outer sleeve connected to the adapter and a tubular body retained at least partially within the outer sleeve. The body has a proximal end connected to the adapter and a distal end connected to the second container. The fluid connector is transitionable from a first position in which the first container and the second container are in fluid isolation to a second position in which the first container and the second container are in fluid communication. At least a portion of the cap of the adapter is retained within the outer sleeve.
