Fluid transfer connector

A fluid transfer connector or adapter for coupling to a container or pharmacy bottle for facilitating the transfer of fluid or medicine from the bottle to a syringe, or from the syringe to the bottle. Optionally, an additional connector can be provided for coupling the fluid transfer connector to the syringe. Optionally, the connector can be provided with a sloped base for preventing residual amounts of fluids from remaining within the bottle.

Connector for system for closed transfer of fluids

A system for closed transfer of fluids includes a syringe adapter including a cannula having a first end and a second end with the second end positioned within the housing, and a seal arrangement positioned within the housing and movable within the housing with the seal arrangement including a membrane. The system including a second component including a membrane and a locking mechanism. The second component configured to be received by the syringe adapter such that the membrane of the seal arrangement engages the membrane of the second component. The locking mechanism including a biasing member and an engagement member positioned on the biasing member, with the engagement member configured to engage a portion of the housing of the syringe adapter to secure the second component to the syringe adapter when the second component is received by the syringe adapter.

Mixing/administration systems and methods for preparing an agent for administration to an individual are disclosed. Caps may be included as part of the system, which may include compositions comprising at least one of a cleansing, antiseptic, antimicrobial, or disinfectant agent. The caps may additionally be included that may be used for hemostasis at an injection site. Packaging and/or the mixing/administration system within it may include a tracking mechanism for data tracking regarding many different aspects of the system, including aspects of manufacture and administration.

Infusion system and components thereof

Multi-medicament infusion systems prevent cross-channeling of medicaments. A system may include one or more of an infusion pump, medicament reservoirs, a multi-channel fluid conduit, and an infusion set. Medicament reservoirs and/or collars may be sized and shaped differently such that the medicament reservoirs can only be inserted into the system under selected configurations.

INFUSION PUMP DEPLOYMENT SYSTEMS AND METHODS

Infusion pump deployment systems and related methods are described. In one embodiment, after actuation, a cannulation system may simultaneously deploy a cannula of a device into tissue and release the device from the cannulation system. Associated methods and constructions of the cannulation system and devices are also described.

METHOD FOR FLUID DELIVERY

A method for filling a reservoir a filling assembly having a needle, and a fluid. The reservoir is in a disposable housing assembly with a septum fluidly connected to the reservoir, a septum access assembly having a first position covering the septum and a second position providing access to the septum, and a bias mechanism for biasing the septum access assembly to the first position. The method includes piercing the septum with the needle, inserting fluid to the reservoir through the needle, contacting the filling assembly to the septum access assembly, and removing the needle from the septum. Removing the needle from the septum allows the bias mechanism to move the septum access assembly from the second position to the first position. The disposable housing assembly is attached to a reusable housing assembly.

The mixing system includes an adaptor, an integrated injection device removably attached to the adaptor comprising a switching element, a first reservoir containing a fluidic first material, and a trigger. The adaptor includes a first attachment location configured to attach a vial. The vial contains a second material within a second reservoir, wherein the second material contains a medicament formulation. The adaptor also includes a first connection element, a flow channel providing fluid communication of the switching element and the first connection element, a sensing arrangement for detecting a pre-defined position of the vial at the first attachment location, and an interlock element which is configured to allow operation of the trigger in order to establish a fluid communication between the first connection element and the first reservoir only if the sensing arrangement detects the pre-defined position of the vial at the first attachment location.

Connecting and container system

A connecting system for providing a fluidic connection, preferably between containers, wherein the connecting system has at least two connecting arrangements configured to provide the fluidic connection, namely a first connecting arrangement and a second connecting arrangement, each of which is fluidically sealed in an initial state, wherein the first connecting arrangement has, in particular, an opening region that is deformable outside the opening region and is configured such that deformation causes the first connecting arrangement to open in the opening region.

SECURED MEDICATION TRANSFER SYSTEM

A vial adaptor and needle assembly are disclosed for use with a vial containing a medication, such as insulin. The vial adaptor may include a needle opening configured to receive a needle of a geometrically corresponding needle assembly to withdraw the medication from the vial in a secured manner. The vial adaptor may also include a cleaning passageway configured to receive a cleaning device to clean the vial.
