Devices and methods for transferring fluid to or from a vial
In certain embodiments, a vial adaptor for removing liquid contents from a vial comprises a piercing member and a bag. The bag can be contained within the piercing member such that the bag is introduced to the vial when the vial adaptor is coupled with the vial. In some embodiments, the bag expands within the vial as liquid is removed from the vial via the adaptor, thereby regulating pressure within the vial. In other embodiments, a vial comprises a bag for regulating pressure within the vial as liquid is removed therefrom. In some embodiments, a vial adaptor is coupled with the vial in order to remove the liquid. In some embodiments, as the liquid is removed from the vial via the adaptor, the bag expands within the vial, and in other embodiments, the bag contracts within the vial.
Fluid transfer apparatus with filtered air input
Fluid transfer apparatus with pressure regulation
Vial access devices
SYRINGE ACCESSORY FOR TRANSFER OF AIR SENSITIVE MATERIALS
An apparatus, method, and article of manufacture for transferring fluid contained in a syringe. The apparatus includes an airlock component having a cylindrical body with a first end, a second end, and a hollow tube disposed between the first end and the second end. An annular opening is located at the first end of the cylindrical body. The hollow tube includes a gas inlet aperture and a gas outlet aperture. The hollow tube also includes an inwardly-facing airtight material coupled to the interior surface of the hollow tube, and a septum coupled to the second end of the cylindrical body. The method includes transferring fluid from one container to a second container using the apparatus. The article of manufacture includes the apparatus, a syringe, and a needle.
SYSTEM AND METHODS FOR TREATING CANCER CELLS WITH ALTERNATING POLARITY MAGNETIC FIELDS
Systems and methods for destroying or inhibiting cancer cells and other rapidly-dividing cells including an alternating polarity (AP) magnetic field generator and one or more AP electromagnetic coil adapted to be coupled to at least a portion of a patient's body, and a controller to control the AP magnetic field generator and at least one AP electromagnetic coil and cause the field generator and coil to apply AP magnetic field having a frequency of 0.5-500 KHz and a field strength of 0.5-5 mT to the at least a portion of the patient's body area to achieve a desired inhibiting effect on cancer cells or other rapidly-dividing cells. Treatments provided by the system may be co-administered with an anti-cancer therapy such as a chemotherapy drug, a hormone therapy drug, targeted therapy drugs, immunotherapy drugs, an angiogenesis inhibitor drug, or tumor treatment field therapy.
System with Adapter for Closed Transfer of Fluids
A system includes a vial access device including a vial access housing having a wall defining an elongate opening between an opening proximal end and an opening distal end, the vial access housing including a spike and a vial connection element attachable to a first vial defining a first vial size to secure the vial access device to the first vial, and an adapter movable within the elongate opening of the vial access housing. The adapter is transitionable between a first position where the adapter is adjacent the opening distal end of the vial access housing and the adapter is attachable to a second vial defining a second vial size and a second position where the adapter is adjacent the opening proximal end of the vial access housing and the vial connection element of the vial access device is attachable to the first vial.
Pressure-regulating vial adaptors
A vial adaptor can include a connector interface and/or a piercing member. The vial adaptor can include a regulator assembly. The regulator assembly can include a regulator base, a regulator nest coupled with the regulator base, and/or a storage chamber formed at least partially by one or both of the regulator base and regulator nest. The regulator assembly can include a cover connected to one or both of the regulator base and regulator nest and fitted around a radially outward portion of one or both of the regulator base and regulator nest. In some cases, the regular assembly includes a flexible enclosure connected to the regulator nest and configured to transition between a contracted configuration and an expanded configuration. In some cases, the flexible enclosure is inhibited from transitioning to the expanded configuration prior to removal or modification of the cover from the regulator assembly.
