Pressure-regulating vial adaptors
In certain embodiments, a vial adaptor comprises a housing configured to couple the adaptor with a vial, an access channel, a regulator channel, and a regulator assembly. The access channel is configured to facilitate withdrawal of fluid from the vial when the adaptor is coupled to the vial. The regulator channel is configured to facilitate a flow of a regulating fluid from the regulator assembly to compensate for changes in volume of a medical fluid in the vial. In some embodiments, the regulator assembly includes a flexible member configured to expand and contract in accordance with changes in the volume of the medical fluid in the vial. In some embodiments, the flexible member is substantially free to expand and contract. In some embodiments, the flexible member is not partly or completely located in a rigid enclosure.
Device for forming a medical paste
The invention regards a device for reconstituting a bioactive agent and forming a flowable paste, the device comprising: a base configured for receiving: a first container containing a liquid, and a second container containing the bioactive agent, a syringe containing a paste forming material, the syringe being attachable to the base, wherein the base has a first conduit for fluidly connecting the first container with the second container and a second conduit for fluidly connecting the second container with the syringe, and wherein the first container is configured to be pressurizable such that when the first and second containers are received at the base, the liquid is forced through the first conduit into the second container, thereby reconstituting the bioactive agent, and the reconstituted bioactive agent is forced through the second conduit into the syringe, such that a paste is formed.

SYSTEM, APPARATUS, AND METHOD FOR EXTENDING THE USEFUL LIFE OF MEDICINE
An apparatus to preserve a first fluid of a medicine vial is provided. The apparatus may include a vial coupling member comprising a housing and a flexible membrane. The housing and the flexible membrane form a vial coupling member cavity within the vial coupling member. The apparatus may also include a first fluid pathway forming a first lumen that is in fluid communication with the vial coupling member cavity. The apparatus may further include a second fluid pathway forming a second lumen that is in fluid communication with the vial coupling member cavity. When the flexible membrane engages the medicine vial, the flexible membrane forms a sealed environment over a medicine vial septum. When the flexible membrane engages the medicine vial, the flexible membrane permits the first lumen and the second lumen to establish fluid communication with an interior space of the medicine vial.
MEDICAL VESSELS WITH VALVES AND VALVE LOCK-UNLOCK MECHANISMS
The present invention relates, in some embodiments thereof, to devices, systems and methods for establishing a fluid passageway between vessels. In some embodiments, the invention provides a system for the engagement and establishment of fluid passageway between vessels, the system comprises a first vessel comprising a valve; and a second vessel configured to be coupled to the first vessel; wherein the second vessel comprises a valve unlock mechanism configured to unlock/open the valve, and wherein at about the time of or following the engagement between the first and second vessels, the valve unlock mechanism unlocks/opens the valve, allowing a fluid transfer between the vessels.
FLUID TRANSFER DEVICES AND METHODS OF USE
Some embodiments disclosed herein relate to a device for transferring precise amounts of fluid from at least one source container to at least one target container. In some embodiments, the fluid is first transferred from the source container (e.g., a vial) through a connector to an intermediate measuring container (e.g., a syringe). In some embodiments air can pass through an air inlet and enter the vial to compensate for the volume of fluid withdrawn from the vial. An air check valve or a bag or a filter can prevent the fluid from escaping through the air inlet. The precisely measured amount of fluid can then be transferred from the intermediate measuring container to the target container (e.g., an IV bag). In some embodiments the connector can include a source check valve and a target check valve to direct fluid first from the source container to the intermediate measuring container and then from the intermediate measuring container to the target container. Some embodiments of the device can include a motor and a controller for automatically actuating a plunger of the syringe to transfer the desired amount of fluid.

AMPOULE CLOSURE
A closure for an ampoule, the closure comprising: a cap portion arranged to engage with a broken neck of an opened ampoule; and a cylindrical skirt portion extending from the cap portion, the skirt portion being elastically deformable and being arranged to move from a first position in which it is at least partially folded back on itself to a second position in which it is unfolded and extends away from the cap portion. The closure can close off an opening such as that formed in an ampoule when the neck is snapped and the top removed. As the cap portion engages with the broken neck, it reduces the chances of users receiving lacerations from the sharp edges. The cap portion also seals the ampoule, preventing the contents from being spilled and/or wasted. The closure also provides a degree of impact protection, reinforcement and strengthening to the now weakened open end of the ampoule, e.g. in case the ampoule is dropped. The skirt portion not only provides a seal around the ampoule body by being in close contact therewith, but also holds the cap portion firmly against the broken rim of the open ampoule, thus holding the closure in place by means of the friction between the skirt portion and the outer surface of the ampoule body.
Adaptor for coupling with a medical container
An adaptor for coupling with a vial having a collar closed by a septum, the septum having an outer surface directed towards the outside of the vial, the adaptor comprising: a gripping member for securing the adaptor to the vial, the gripping member being capable of being laterally mounted on the collar of the vial and a pierceable elastomeric piece having at least a part intended to be in contact with the outer surface of the septum when the adaptor is secured on the vial.
