SKIN MOISTURIZING COMPOSITIONS
A topical skin moisturizing composition comprising: (a) one or more phospholipids; (b) a plurality of demulcents; (c) one or more polymeric moisturizing agents; (d) one or more preservatives; (e) one or more vitamins; and (f) an aqueous vehicle. The moisturizing composition can have an osmolality in the range of 80 mOsm/kg to 500 mOsm/kg. The composition is configured for use on the face and, particularly for application on and around the delicate eye area including the eyelids.
Organic Compounds
Disclosed is a composition comprising at least one core-shell microcapsule in a suspending medium. The microcapsule comprises a core and a shell around said core. The shell comprises a hyperbranched polysaccharide selected from the group consisting of amylopectins, dextrins, hyperbranched starches, glycogen and phytoglycogen and mixtures thereof.
NOVEL SKIN CARE COMPOSITION
The present invention generally relates to the field of skin care. More particularly, the invention relates to a cosmetic or therapeutic skin care composition comprising live bacteria of at least one Cutibacterium acnes (C. acnes) strain in combination with an excipient that specifically supports their viability during storage and/or their ability to replicate after application to the skin. Preferably, the cosmetic or therapeutic skin care composition comprises bacteria of at least one C. acnes strain selected from the group consisting of D1, A5, C1, C3, H1, H2, H3, K1, K2, K4, K6, K8, K9, L1, and F4. The invention also provides a method for treating or preventing acne by applying the skin care composition of the invention to a skin area in need of treatment. The invention also relates to the use of a skin care composition of the invention for treating or preventing acne.
IMPROVEMENTS IN OR RELATING TO ORGANIC COMPOUNDS
An extract of Himanthalia elongata and a cosmetic composition comprising a carrier and said extract is provided. The extract and the composition show whitening and anti-ageing activities.
COMPOSITION FOR TOPICAL DERMATOLOGICAL DELIVERY
A composition for topical dermatological delivery of a medicinal or cosmeceutical or cosmetic active including a functional co-enhancer delivery system comprises a primary active agent in combination with an ancillary user adherence-improving skin barrier restoring system comprising nicotinamide and polyhydroxy acid. The composition generally comprises a water-miscible solvent and C.sub.12 or C.sub.14 fatty acids or C.sub.14 alcohol in combination with a hydrocarbyl methyl siloxane, other volatile silicones and a blend of silicone elastomers.
Metal oxide compounds and infusion into polymer compounds
Described is an initial liquid composition with at least antimicrobial, antibacterial, and/or anti-viral properties comprising chelated metal oxide particles suspended in a polyol, such that metal oxide particles are homogeneously dispersed in a primarily liquid based polyol carrier so that chelated metal oxide particles form a stable complex suspension that is optionally an alkaline based aqueous silver oxide dispersion. The liquid composition can be subsequently added to any polymer or polymer compound/system where the polymer degrades or melts at a temperature lower than the polyol carrier degradation or boiling temperature. The metal oxide complex may also impart beneficial semi-conductive or conductive as well as permeability and flammability property changes to the polymer (host) system.
Cosmetic compositions
Disclosed is a method for moisturizing skin in need thereof, the method comprising topically applying to the skin a composition that includes effective amounts of an extract from Echinacea purpurea, an extract from Silybum marianum, and glycerin, wherein topical application of the composition activates human cannabinoid receptor type 2 and inhibits fatty acid amide hydrolase activity in the skin and treats the skin.
SUPRAMOLECULAR PREPARATION OF RETINOL AND DERIVATIVES THEREOF AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREFOR
The present disclosure relates to a supramolecular preparation of retinol and derivatives thereof and a preparation method therefor, wherein the supramolecular preparation consists of following components in percentage by mass: 3.00-25.0% of retinol and derivatives thereof, 36.5-91.0% of hydroxypropyl γ-cyclodextrin, 4.00-32.0% of hydroxypropyl methylcellulose stearoxy ether, and 2.00-8.0% of PEG/PPG/polybutylene glycol-8/5/3 glycerin, wherein the mass ratio of the PEG/PPG/polybutylene glycol-8/5/3 glycerin to the hydroxypropyl methylcellulose stearoxy ether is 1:2-4. The supramolecular preparation of retinol and derivatives thereof obtained in the present disclosure has the advantages such as good stability, high solubility, low irritation, and good anti-wrinkle effect.
Highly mineral-filled adhesive bandage or patch
The present invention relates to an adhesive and soluble adhesive bandage or patch comprising a soluble film of natural origin with high mineral content. The soluble film comprises from 20 to 90 wt % of mineral filler and wherein the mineral filler content level is higher than the polysaccharide content level. It also relates to these bandages or patches for use in cosmetics or therapy. Also, a method of making a soluble film.
Sprayable high viscosity cosmetic formulation
The invention relates to an anhydrous cosmetic or dermatological formulation comprising a viscose lipid-containing preparation and propellant gas consisting essentially of one or more substances selected from hydrofluorocarbons, n-butane, isobutane and propane. The formulation permits application to the skin by spraying of an otherwise nonsprayable preparation. The formulation is free from readily volatile solvents, surfactants, and preferably free from silicones.
