The disclosure relates to a cosmetic product, comprising a) a cosmetic preparation, containing, in relation to its total weight, a1) from about 60 to about 98 wt. % of at least one polar solvent; a2) from about 0.5 to about 20 wt. % of at least one copolymer from i) vinylpyrrolidone ii) vinyl acetate iii) and optionally other monomers; b) a device for flash evaporation of the cosmetic preparation a), and to a method using corresponding products and to the use of the cosmetic preparation a) as process material in a device for flash evaporation.

The present invention relates to a cosmetic process for treating keratin materials, in particular keratin fibers, preferably human keratin fibers such as the hair, using a) one or more direct dyes which are preferably neutral and b) one or more particular aliphatic ammonium salts, and to a composition comprising ingredients a) and b). The cosmetic process for treating keratin materials of the invention makes it possible to obtain a good color build-up up and, furthermore, the colors are vivid and chromatic.

In another aspect, fatty amidoamines made by reacting a metathesis-derived C10-C17 monounsaturated acid, octadecene-1,18-dioic acid, or their ester derivatives with an aminoalkyl-substituted tertiary amine are disclosed. The fatty amines or amidoamines are advantageously sulfonated, sulfitated, oxidized, or reduced. In other aspects, the ester derivative is a modified triglyceride made by self-metathesis of a natural oil or an unsaturated triglyceride made by cross-metathesis of a natural oil with an olefin.

An oil-in-water emulsion skin cosmetic composition comprising the following components (A), (B), (C), (D) and (E): (A) from 1 to 10% by mass of an oil agent which is liquid at 25° C., (B) from 1 to 6% by mass of an oil agent which is solid or semi-solid at 25° C., (C) from 0.7 to 3.5% by mass of linear alcohol having 12 to 22 carbon atoms, (D) from 0.2 to 1% by mass of at least one selected from the group consisting of an ionic surfactant and a nonionic surfactant having an HLB of 12.5 to 15, and (E) water, wherein the mass ratio of the component (B) to the component (A), (B)/(A), is from 0.3 to 1.0, and emulsion particles have a number-average particle diameter of 1.0 to 3.0 μm.
