Described herein are personal care compositions that includes a carrier; a structuring agent that is ionic; and a surfactant blend comprising a zwitterionic surfactant and cetrimonium chloride.

Materials and methods for formulating a baby wash/shampoo are provided herein. For example, this document provides materials and methods for formulating a foaming baby wash/shampoo compositions that contain natural ingredients and are not irritating to babies' skin and eyes.

The invention relates to lamellar liquid composition comprising acyl isethionate, methyl acyl taurate, amphoteric and/or zwitterionic surfactant. Unexpectedly, applicants have found that, when ratio of isethionate to taurate is kept at about to 1:1, enhanced lather is achieved. Other criticalities include ratio of amphoteric and/or zwitterionic to anionic surfactant, total amount of surfactant, and pH.

The present invention relates to a personal washing composition comprising a detersive surfactant, at least one rheology modifying polymer, at least one cationic conditioning polymer, at least one benefit agent, and an anionic polymer of polysulfonic acid. The composition is a sulfate-free or substantial sulfate-free personal washing composition. The present invention further relates to a method of achieving improved conditioning benefits and/or improved deposition of benefit agents onto hair and/or skin.

A composition for a solid cosmetic with improved high-temperature stability and good feeling of use, the composition contains an oily gelling agent. The oily gelling agent includes at least one selected from the group consisting of dibutylethylhexanoylglutamide, dibutyllauroylglutamide, dextrin palmitate, and mixtures thereof. When the oily gelling agent is dibutylethylhexanoylglutamide, the dibutylethylhexanoylglutamide is contained in an amount of 0.5 wt % to 1.7 wt % relative to the total weight of the composition.

A self-foaming cleansing composition are provided. The self-foaming composition includes a) from about 0.5% to about 10% wt. % of one or more volatile silicone oils; b) from about 0.5% to about 25% wt. % of one or more surfactants stable at low pH; c) from about at least 1.2% of one or more polymers with suspending properties; d) from about 0.5% to about 5% wt % of one or more thickeners; e) from about 0.5% to about 15% wt. % of one organic acid as cosmetic active ingredient; the self-foaming cleansing composition having a pH in between about 3.4 and 5; the self-foaming cleansing composition starting to foam immediately after application of the compositions onto the skin; wherein the foaming cleansing composition is free of perfluoro compound; and wherein the weight percentages are based on the total weight of the self-foaming cleansing composition.

A cleansing composition for cleansing the skin, comprising by weight of the composition, — 20 to 65 wt. % of one or more polyols; and —5 to 25 wt. % of thickeners, comprising a combination of: a) inorganic thickener selected from silica, chalk, talc, clay and combinations thereof; b) cellulosic thickener selected from cellulose, cellulose ether, cellulose ester and combinations thereof; wherein the weight ratio of the inorganic thickener to the cellulosic thickener is in the range of 4:1 to 40:1; —4 to 12 wt. % of non-soap anionic surfactant; —0 to 8 wt. % of amphoteric surfactant; and wherein the weight ratio of the one or more polyols to the thickeners is in the range of 1:1 to 13:1 and wherein the viscosity of the composition is in the range of 200 to 400 Pa-s, measured at 25° C. after 1 minute at 5 rpm.

Disclosed is a composition comprising, in an aqueous phase: a) at least one ether of formula (I): R—O—R′ in which R and R′, which may be identical or different, denotes a linear or branched C.sub.6-C.sub.25 alkyl or alkenyl radical, R and R′ being chosen such that the ether is liquid at a temperature of less than or equal to 30° C.; b) at least one surfactant chosen from anionic surfactant, amphoteric or zwitterionic surfactant, or a mixture thereof; c) at least one cationic alkyldiallylamine or dialkyldiallylammonium cyclopolymer; and d) soybean oil.

Disclosed are oral care compositions comprising an orally acceptable vehicle, a basic amino acid in free or salt form, particles of precipitated calcium carbonate, a source of zinc ions, and a surfactant system selected from at least one of a poloxamer nonionic surfactant and a betaine zwitterionic surfactant or a mixture thereof.

A mousse composition having high gloss and good spreadability comprising: (i) carrier; (ii) one or more surface tension reducing agents that reduce the surface tension of the carrier; (iii) from greater than 5% to about 20% by weight, based on the weight of components (i)-(v), of foaming agent, wherein said foaming agent comprises at least about 30% by weight of trans-1234ze; and (iv) optionally one or more active components in addition to said surface tension reducing agents; and (v) optionally one or more adjuvants.
