A combination of N-acetyl-L-cysteine, selenium in the form of selenomethionine and melatonin, and a medical product or pharmaceutical composition comprising such combination, useful for the treatment of a variety of diseases and conditions is described. The combination of N-acetyl-L-cysteine, selenium in the form of selenomethionine and melatonin is also useful for cosmetic treatment of skin and as an antibacterial agent.

Disclosed herein is a liquid pharmaceutical composition of botulinum toxin which is improved in stability. It comprises botulinum toxin, polysorbate 20, and methionine and optionally isoleucine. Employing, instead of the animal-derived protein albumin or gelatin, a combination of polysorbate 20 and methionine and optionally isoleucine as botulinum toxin stabilizers, the liquid pharmaceutical composition eliminates the risk of contaminating the body with serum-derived pathogens or microorganisms and can be administered safely to the body. Also, the composition is convenient for use as a direct injection for patients. Superior to conventional compositions employing either detergents or amino acids in terms of the storage stability of botulinum toxin at 2537 C. as well as at refrigerated temperatures, the liquid pharmaceutical composition of the present invention is very useful for storing botulinum toxin under an emergency condition such as an environment without maintaining low temperature. The liquid pharmaceutical composition can be readily prepared because it employs a detergent and an amino acid(s) without lyophilization process.

The present invention relates to a composition that acts prior to the action of a tooth whitening composition or tooth whitening patch, the composition containing an oral cavity stimulation alleviating component able to reduce stimulation by the tooth whitening composition or patch. The present invention also relates to a tooth whitening kit whereby oral cavity stimulation is alleviated. The composition that acts prior to the action of a tooth whitening composition or patch of the present invention provides an outstanding tooth whitening effect while alleviating pain by mitigating intra-oral stimulation brought about by the rapid action of a tooth whitening component due to a tooth whitening component active agent.

A hair treatment agent is provided herein. The hair treatment agent includes in a cosmetic carrier (a) at least one compound of the general formula (I). R.sub.1 denotes a hydrogen atom or a structural element of formula (II). x denotes an integer from 1 to 100. The radical R.sub.2 in each of the structural elements of formula (II) can be selected independently of the preceding structural element of formula (II). M1 denotes the grouping OM2 or a structural element of formula (III). y denotes an integer from 1 to 100. The invention relates to a topical composition having a low anionic surfactant amount for use in the treatment and/or prevention of a corona virus infection.

A solid cleansing product including at least a first surfactant and a second surfactant present in a combined surfactant weight amount, both of the first and second surfactants being free of sulfate-containing materials; at least a first buffering agent and a second buffering agent a present in a combined buffering agent weight amount; where the combined buffering agent weight amount is at least double the combined surfactant weight amount.

The present invention relates to compositions for conditioning hair fibers, in particular human hair fibers, comprising (a) cationic surfactants; (b) thiol-based compounds; (c) fatty alcohols in an amount of from about 6% to about 20% by weight; (d) a component selected from polyols, fatty substances other than a fatty alcohol, and mixtures thereof; (e) water; and (f) optionally, neutralizing agents, wherein the pH of the composition ranges from 2 to less than 7. The present invention relates to combined compositions comprising a combination of N-acetyl cysteine (NAC), or any derivatives thereof, and polyphenols, specifically cranberry polyphenols. The invention further provides methods and uses of said combined compositions for treating and preventing periodontal diseases, specifically gingivitis, periodontitis and peri-implantitis.
