A method for improving skin comprising reducing the barrier function of skin, and applying a skin treatment composition to the skin. The skin treatment composition may include about 0.1 to about 25 wt. % of acetyl trifluoromethylphenyl valylglycine; about 0.5 to about 30 wt. % of a polyol; about 0.1 to about 30 wt. % of a silicone, fatty compound, or a mixtures thereof, wherein the skin treatment composition is an emulsion, and all weight percentages are based on the total weight of the skin treatment composition.

The present invention provides a topical formulation and method of use where the formulation comprises macqui berry or a macqui berry extract containing anthocyanins having a very high oxygen radical absorbance capacity (ORAC). The formulation provides the macqui berry in a stabilized form which includes a glucuronide or glycuronide, a photostabilizing agent, encapsulation, or light- and/or air-blocking packaging.

A combination of N-acetyl-L-cysteine, selenium in the form of selenomethionine and melatonin, and a medical product or pharmaceutical composition comprising such combination, useful for the treatment of a variety of diseases and conditions is described. Finally, methods of reducing hair regrowth by administering a composition including a collagen binding polypeptide and a PTH/PTHrP receptor antagonist are provided.

A cosmetic mask composition including a combination of acrylates/VA copolymer and acrylates copolymer. The cosmetic mask composition includes about 5% to 30% by weight of acrylates/VA copolymer, and about 0.2% to 2% by weight of acrylates copolymer.
