HAIR COLOURING COMPOSITIONS
Disclosed is a hair colouring composition containing amino acids with at least a pKa greater than 10, oxidative dyes, and acetylaspartic acid or salts thereof. The compositions according to the invention do not contain ammonia or ethanolamine, do not damage the hair, guarantee shine and combability, and also cover white hair and withstand blue light.
MOUSSE COMPOSITION
The invention relates to a mousse composition comprising: a) a base composition comprising: (i) from 0.0001 to 5 wt. % of a lactam; (ii) from 0.1 to 10 wt. % of an alcohol; and, b) a propellant; and to the use of a combination of a lactam with an alcohol, in a mousse composition to collapse the resulting mousse foam quicker; and to the use of a combination of a lactam with an alcohol, in a mousse composition to make the resulting mousse foam easier to rinse.
Composition comprising resorcinol or derivative thereof
The present invention relates to a composition, preferably a cosmetic composition, comprising: (a) at least one compound selected from the group consisting of resorcinol and resorcinol derivatives; (b) at least one lipophilic UV filter; (c) at least one lipophilic antioxidant; and (d) at least one oil. The composition according to one embodiment of the present invention is stable with regard to light and/or temperature.
Synergistic effects of alkanolamine alkylamides and other moisturizing agents
The disclosure provides personal care compositions that comprise a moisturizing agent of formula (I) wherein n is an integer from 2 to 5, R.sup.1 is independently H or C.sub.1-C.sub.3 alkyl and R.sup.2 is an unsubstituted linear or branched C.sub.1-C.sub.6 alkyl, at least one additional moisturizing agent and a cosmetically acceptable vehicle. In particular, the compound of formula (I) is diglycolamine acetamide. The compositions generally improve moisturization of skin and hair. ##STR00001##
C3-C5 N-ALKYL-GAMMA-BUTYROLACTAM-CONTAINING ANTIMICROBIAL COMPOSITIONS AND USES THEREOF
An antimicrobial composition comprising (i) an effective amount of a first antimicrobial agent consisting of at least one compound according to Formula 1:
##STR00001## wherein R.sub.1 is a branched or unbranched, saturated or unsaturated, unsubstituted C3 to C5 alkyl chain or a C3 alkyl chain substituted with a methoxy group; (ii) an effective amount of at least one second antimicrobial agent selected from the group consisting of formic acid, benzoic acid, salicylic acid, 2-furoic acid, mandelic acid, acetic acid, dimethylol propionic acid, gallic acid, malic acid, lactic acid, and salts thereof; and (iii) a diluent, q.s. to 100; wherein the antimicrobial composition is substantially free of peroxygen compounds, antibiotics, and chloroacetamide. Also described are methods of using the compound of Formula 1 and compositions containing same in the field of infection control and prevention.

This invention relates to skincare compositions, in particular compositions effective in the treatment of acne vulgaris, and to methods of treatment of the skin that involve the application of such compositions, wherein the compositions comprise salicylic acid or a salt thereof in combination with at least two actives selected from the group consisting of lactic acid or a salt thereof; glycyrrhizinic acid or a salt or a derivative thereof; bisabolol; cetylhydroxyproline palmitamide; allantoin; niacinamide; and Epilobium angustifolium extract.
C3-C5 N-ALKYL-GAMMA-BUTYROLACTAM-CONTAINING AN ANTIMICROBIAL COMPOSITIONS AND USES THEREOF
Method of reducing the microbial load on a surface contaminated with microbes, the method comprising (a) identifying a surface in need of microbial reduction; and (b) applying an effective amount of an antimicrobial composition to the surface for a contact time and at a temperature sufficient to reduce the microbial load by at least 50%, wherein the antimicrobial composition comprises: (i) an effective amount of an antimicrobial agent consisting of at least one compound according to Formula 1:

TOPICAL GLYCOPYRROLATE FORMULATIONS
