Cosmetic or dermatological composition comprising at least a merocyanine and a hydrotrope The present invention relates to a cosmetic or dermatological composition comprising an aqueous phase, and a merocyanine of formula (I):

and at least one hydrotrope chosen from nicotinamide, caffeine, salicylic acid salts, the sodium salt of pyroglutamic acid (sodium PCA), sodium 1,3-benzenedisulfonate, sodium benzoate, sodium 4-pyridinecarboxylate, sodium benzenesulfonate, sodium p-toluenesulfonate (NaPTS), sodium butyl monoglycol sulfate (NaBMGS), 4-aminobenzoic acid HCl, sodium cumene sulfonate, N,N-diethyl nicotinamide, N-picolyl nicotinamide, N-allyl nicotinamide, 2-methacryloyloxyethyl phosphorylcholine, resorcinol, pyrogallol, N-picolylacetamide, procaine HCl, proline HCl, pyridine, 3-picolylamine, sodium ibuprofen, sodium xylene sulfonate (SXS), ethyl carbamate, pyridoxal hydrochloride, sodium benzoate, N,N-dimethylacetamide, N-methylacetamide, isoniazid, and mixtures thereof.

EFFERVESCENT SUNSCREEN COMPOSITION

An effervescent composition is provided which contains a phase-stable oil-in-water emulsion comprising a discontinuous oil phase homogenously distributed within continuous water phase, wherein the discontinuous oil phase comprises a UV-absorbing compound; and from about 20% to about 30% by weight of the composition of a combination of at least two propellants selected from the group consisting of dimethyl ether, a hydrocarbon, or mixtures thereof, and 1, 1-difluoroethane, where the composition includes from about 8% to about 15% by weight of each propellant in the propellant combination, and where the composition provides a phase-stable, effervescent foam when discharged from a pressurized aerosol container.

PHOTOSTABLE SUNSCREEN COMPOSITION FOR TOPICAL APPLICATION

The sunscreen composition includes dibenzoylmethane derivative in 1 to 5% by weight of the composition, octyl-methoxycinnamate in 1 to 10% by weight of the composition and dermatologically acceptable excipients in 79 to 97% by weight of the composition containing 60-75% aqueous phase stabilised with 1-(4-methoxy-5-benzofuranyl)-3-phenyl 1, 3 propanedione (pongamol) in 0.9 to 6% by weight of the composition.
