Personal care compositions for improving the appearance and/or health of skin are provided herein. In accordance with an aspect, provided is a personal care formulation comprising an alpha hydroxy acid; a beta hydroxy acid; and polyhydroxy acid comprising gluconodeltalactone. According to another aspect, a personal care formulation is provided that comprises an alpha hydroxy acid; a beta hydroxy acid; and polyhydroxy acid, wherein the personal care formulation has a weight ratio of alpha hydroxy acid to polyhydroxy acid is about 5:1 to about 1:4, and wherein the personal care formulation has a weight ratio of beta hydroxy acid to polyhydroxy acid is about 1:1 to about 1:11.

An oil-in-water composition is provided. The composition includes an oil-in-water wherein the emulsion includes a) one or more antioxidants, b) one or more SPF boosters, c) one or more acrylate-based polymer capable of stabilizing the composition, d) one or more organic UV filters, e) one or more thickeners, f) one or more film formers; and g) one or more emulsifiers. The oil-in-water composition is provided in which the composition is essentially free of oxybenzone.

More specifically, nanofibre matrix manufactured by electrospinning methods comprising a dry sheet without containing any preservatives, surfactants, solvents and crosslinkers. To use nanofibre cosmetic products, simply wet skin and then apply the nanofibre to skin. Functional ingredients may be optionally incorporated within the nanofibre matrix during electrospinning to provide different cosmetic effects. Functional ingredients offer skin benefits such as moisturizing, anti-ageing, wrinkle reduction, brightening, antioxidant and acne treatment. Functional ingredients can be essential oil where it is incorporated into nanofibre matrix to provide scent effect to cosmetic products. Functional ingredients can also be natural dye where it is incorporated in nanofibre matrix to make coloured nanofibres. Coloured nanofibres can be used for makeup products such as blush, eye shadow, eyebrow, nail polish, lipstick, contouring and hair dye product. The nanofibre matrix comprising 100% natural biopolymers with or without functional ingredients can be processed to assorted shapes or easily cut by consumers for using on different areas of skin for different purposes.

The present invention provides a colorless oily makeup cosmetic comprising (a) one or two dyes selected from Red No. 218 and Red No. 223, and (b) an oil agent, and a mixture of the component (a) and the component (b) at a mass ratio (a):(b) of 0.1:100 has a difference of 0.2 or less between the maximum absorbance and the minimum absorbance in a wavelength region of 500 to 600 nm. The oily makeup cosmetic may develop a color due to the component (a) on application onto body surface, such as skin and lips.

A cosmetic ingredient for cosmetic products has a polymer structure which includes an emollient or film-forming cosmetic polymer which is transparent to light. An organic chromophore molecule is inserted and chemically linked into the polymer, which can be a fixed color molecule or a photochromic molecule capable of rapidly switching from one color to another. The colored or photochromic molecule is inserted and chemically linked by transesterification into a cosmetic oil provided with functionalities which are suitable for the chemical anchoring of the molecule and chemically linked to said oil. The cosmetic oil may be a silicone macrodiol functionalized with a photochromic derivative designed so as to ensure the transition between a colorless state and a colored state following irradiation with ultraviolet light.
