COSMETIC COMPOSITION WITH ENHANCED COLOR STABILITY
The present invention is directed to a personal care composition containing resorcinols. An effective way to improve the color stability of compositions comprising resorcinols is desired. It has been found that alkylresorcinols and retinoids in combination with a compatible oil and specific ratios of antioxidants provide for improved color stability of the resorcinols. The invention thus relates to a composition comprising a synergistic combination of butylated hydroxytoluene and dilauryl thiodipropionate with alkylresorcinols and retinoids.
Composition and method of treating fragile skin
The present invention is a composition and method of treatment for fragile skin, skin disorders, and skin conditions in general through topical systematic and periodic application of a formulation that generally may include ingredients such as but not limited to barrier repair ingredients such as but not limited to Skinmimics®, Retinol®, and glycolic acid; humectants such as but not limited to glycerin, propanediol, low and high molecular weight hyaluronic acids; redensifying agents such as but not limited to Timecode®, a lipo amino acid (palmitoyl glycine); and anti-inflammatory/anti-itch ingredients such as but not limited to soybean sterols, Timecode®, SymCalmin®, menthyl lactate, and niacinamide.
PERSONAL CARE COMPOSITIONS WITH ENHANCED SOLUBILITY ACTIVES
Topical personal care compositions containing NDAC and optionally cystine as actives, whereby the solubility of cystine is enhanced. The compositions can be used to improve skin appearance of chronological aging or photoaging, resulting from exposure to UV light/sunlight, or environmental pollutants.
Method of treating a skin condition
An improved method of treating a skin barrier condition is disclosed. The method involves identifying a target portion of skin on a person where treatment is desired and applying a low-pH composition to the target portion of skin. The low-pH composition contains an effective amount of a vitamin B.sub.3 compound and has a pH of less than 5.0.
Skin Care Composition
Methods and compositions for improving the appearance of skin are provided. The methods and compositions are especially suited for improving sallow-looking skin by enhancing bilirubin degradation in skin. The methods and compositions herein utilize one or more sucrose esters, which demonstrate a surprising ability to reduce bilirubin levels. The method involves applying a skin care composition containing an effective amount of a sucrose ester to a target portion of skin where a reduction in bilirubin level is desired.
COSMETIC COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS PROVIDING ENHANCED PENETRATION OF SKIN CARE ACTIVES
A cosmetic composition suitable for topical application is provided. The cosmetic composition comprises: glycerin; a lipid bilayer structurant with a glyceryl headgroup; a penetration enhancer; and a skin care active. The penetration enhancer increases the amount of active that enters skin when the composition is topically applied, while the glycerin and lipid bilayer structurant with glyceryl headgroup work together with lipid bilayers of the skin to impede progress of active through the skin.
Personal Care Compositions
Disclosed are skin lightening personal care compositions comprising hexylresorcinol and licorice extract, wherein hexylresorcinol is present in an amount of from 0.00001% to 1% by weight of the composition and licorice extract is present in an amount of from 0.00001% to 0.1% by weight of the composition, as well as methods of using these compositions.
Skin lightening compositions
Disclosed are compositions and methods for their use that include a combination of Leontopodium alpinum extract, Halidrys siliquosa extract, vegetable amino acids, niacinamide, hexylresorcinol, Pinus pinaster extract, Betula alba extract, Albizia julibrissin bark extract, hydrolyzed Candida saitoana extract, Lentinus edodes mycelium extract, and/or Opuntia tuna fruit extract.
COMPOSITION FOR IMPROVING THE CELLULITE APPEARANCE OF SKIN
The present invention relates to the use by oral route of a composition for oral administration comprising at least one probiotic and at least one B group vitamin, for improvement the cellulite appearance of skin.
COSMETIC COMPOSITION COMPRISING VITAMIN B3 COMPOUND AND LAUROYL LYSINE
A cosmetic composition comprising containing from about 1% to about 15% of a vitamin B3 compound, from about 0.1% to about 10% lauroyl lysine, and from about 55% to about 98% water. The cosmetic composition can meet at least one of the following conditions: (i) the weight ratio between the vitamin B3 compound and the lauroyl lysine is from about 15:1 to about 1:10; (ii) the lauroyl lysine has a mean particle size of from about 10 microns to about 40 microns; and (iii) the lauroyl lysine has a flat polygonal shape. The cosmetic composition with vitamin B3 can provide benefits from vitamin B3 with reduced friction, reduced draggy feeling and/or improved smooth feeling.
