WEARABLE INJECTION DEVICE
The present disclosure relates to wearable injection devices that comprise flexible elements. Exemplary devices can comprise flexible reservoirs, flexible housings, and flexible metering mechanisms. The flexible elements of the present disclosure provide improved wearable injection devices with small heights, low profiles, and streamlined, flexible cases that can withstand impact without experiencing adverse performance effects or tearing off of the patient.
PATCH INJECTION DEVICE WITH RELEASE LINER REMOVAL
A patch injection device comprising a housing, an adhesive substrate having a first surface with a first surface area for skin attachment and a second surface which is opposite the first surface attaching partly to the housing and a removable release liner. The surface area of the second surface attaching to the housing is smaller than the first surface area and the excess area defines a skirt of the substrate at least partially surrounding the housing. The first surface of the substrate attaches to the removable release liner which fully covers the first surface area of the substrate. Furthermore a pull tab is provided being part of the release liner and located in a cut-out of the skirt of the substrate such that a peel force is transmittable from the release liner to the housing at the location where the cut-out reaches the housing.
DRUG DELIVERY DEVICE
A drug delivery device having a central axis, the drug delivery device comprising: a first body part; a first attachment part attached to the first body part and having a first distal end; a second attachment part having a second distal end; and an actuator mechanism configured to move the first distal end towards the second distal end.
Medicament delivery device
The present disclosure relates to a medicament delivery device. The medicament delivery device comprises a housing, a needle and a reservoir. The needle is configured to project from a distal end of the housing. The reservoir is disposed in the housing and has a flexible wall. The medicament delivery device further comprises a dispensing member and a biasing member. The dispensing member is disposed in the housing and the biasing member is configured to bias the dispensing member to move in an arcuate path relative to the housing such that the dispensing member moves across the flexible wall of the reservoir to dispense medicament from the reservoir when the reservoir contains medicament.
Auto-injector
An injection device includes a carrier, a needle, a driver coupled to the needle, the driver being slidable relative to the carrier between a retracted configuration and a deployed configuration, a shuttle configured to move the driver between the retracted configuration and the deployed configuration, and a stop configured to move from a first configuration to a second configuration, wherein the stop is configured to maintain the driver in the deployed configuration, and movement of the stop from the first configuration to the second configuration allows the shuttle to move the driver from the deployed configuration to the retracted configuration.
Pumping fluid delivery systems and methods using force application assembly
A method of dispensing a therapeutic fluid from a line includes providing an inlet line connectable to an upstream fluid source. The inlet line is in downstream fluid communication with a pumping chamber. The pumping chamber has a pump outlet. The method also includes actuating a force application assembly so as to restrict retrograde flow of fluid through the inlet while pressurizing the pumping chamber to urge flow through the pump outlet. A corresponding system employs the method.
Drug delivery device
The present application provides a self-powered drug-delivery device. The device includes a chamber having a wall. The chamber contains a fluid and is in connection with an administration means. The device also includes a displacement-generating battery cell. The device further includes an electrically-controlled battery unit, which includes the displacement-generating battery cell coupled to the chamber by a coupling means. The displacement-generating battery cell includes an element that changes shape as a result of charge or discharge of the battery cell so as to cause a displacement within the battery unit. The arrangement of the battery unit, the coupling means, the wall, the chamber, and the administration means is such that the displacement derived from the battery unit is conveyed by the coupling means to cause displacement of the wall of the chamber such that the fluid is expelled from the chamber to force a drug towards the administration means.
Drug delivery device with messaging label
A drug delivery device includes a housing, a reservoir, a cannula, one or more light sources, a label, and a controller. The reservoir is disposed within the housing. The cannula is connected to the reservoir for delivering a drug from the reservoir to the patient. The light sources are disposed adjacent the exterior surface of the housing, and each serves to indicate one of one or more operational conditions of the device. The label is fixed to the housing adjacent the light sources, and includes one or more informational messages. Each informational message is aligned with one of the light sources for conveniently conveying to a user an operational condition of the device as indicated by the corresponding light source. Finally, the controller is operably connected to the reservoir and the light sources. The controller is configured to actuate the reservoir to deliver the drug, and to selectively illuminate the one or more light sources based on the operational condition of the drug delivery device.
Device For Inserting A Needle
The insertion device for inserting a needle into a site having a body provided with a bearing wall for resting on the site, a needle support on which a needle is mounted, the needle support being mounted so as to be able to move relative to the bearing wall between a position before insertion, at least one insertion position, and at least one retracted position, an electric motor comprising a rotation shaft, the electric motor being intended to move the needle support in translation between the different positions of the needle support, a detection unit configured to provide a value relative to the operation of the electric motor, and an electronic unit configured to cooperate with the detection unit in order to control the depth of insertion of the needle.
SUBCUTANEOUS INSERTION MECHANISM WITH AUTOMATIC RETRACTION VIA PRE-ENERGIZED RELEASE AND LATCHING MEMBER
Provided is an insertion mechanism with increased reliability and reduced components. The insertion mechanism uses a single engagement and release clip compressed within a housing of the insertion mechanism to engage a needle hub and catheter hub. A button is provided to move the catheter hub and needle hub in a distal direction until the engagement and release clip reaches a firing window in the mechanism housing. The engagement and release clip expands in the release window to release the needle hub from the catheter hub, permitting a return spring to move the insertion needle proximally while leaving the catheter inserted, and also retains the catheter hub in the deployed position.
