Medicament injector device
An injector device for delivering a liquid medicament comprises an injector body having a proximal end and a distal end. The injector device further includes a syringe slidably received in the injector body and moveable from a first position to a second position towards the distal end of the body. Additionally, the injector device comprises a needle holder between the syringe and the distal end of the body, and a needle held in the needle holder. The needle has a distal end extending toward an opening in the distal end of the body, and a proximal end extending toward the syringe. The injector device also comprises a syringe biasing member within the body configured to bias the syringe into the second position. The syringe is spaced from the needle in the first position and is in engagement with the proximal end of the needle in the second position.
Spacer assembly for drug delivery device
A drive assembly for a drug delivery system including a plunger member configured to engage and move a stopper within a container, a biasing member configured to move the plunger member, and an adjustable spacer assembly positioned between the plunger member and the stopper. The spacer assembly includes a spacer element attached to the stopper and at least one shim or includes a spacer element and a holder to which the spacer element is attached. The holder may be attached to the stopper and the spacer element may be attached to the holder by a threaded engagement. Also, a drug delivery system for injecting a medicament, the system including a container configured to receive a medicament, the container comprising a stopper configured to move within the container and a closure, a drive assembly as described above, and a needle actuator assembly.
SELF-CONTAINED AUTO-INJECTOR
A drug self-delivery device comprising a body portion containing a drug vial and a needle assembly, where the body portion is slidably engaged to a trigger portion. When engaged by a user pressing the trigger portion against the user's flesh, the needle assembly relative to the drug vial so as to align a needle port with an integral drug delivery port connected to the drug vial thereby allowing fluid flow of medication through the needle. Seals engaged by a penetration spring prevent loss of medication and prevent the need for direct connection between the needle assembly and the drug vial.
Medicament injection device
A medicament injection device is disclosed comprising a housing containing a medicament cartridge holder; a rotatable cap assembly; a needle holder holding a needle, the needle holder being releasably supported by the cap assembly, a pre-stressed spring coupled to the medicament cartridge holder; wherein the cap assembly is arranged so that rotation thereof releases the pre-stressed spring, causing the medicament cartridge holder to move axially in a distal direction towards the needle. A method of operating the device is also disclosed.
INJECTION DELIVERY DEVICE
An injection delivery device involves a body, a medication-containing vial within at least a portion of the body, the medication-containing vial having an open end and a closed end opposite the open end. The open end of the vial includes a seal that prevents medication contained therein from exiting the vial until delivery of the medication to a target injection site is desired. The injection delivery device also includes a plunger positioned near the open end of the vial and a needle having a passage therethrough, wherein the needle, plunger and vial are positioned relative to each other such that, during delivery of an injection, a portion of the passage will be within the plunger, and the plunger and needle will remain stationary relative to each other while the vial moves relative the plunger in a direction towards the target injection site.
Syringe with locking mechanism
A syringe including an injection syringe body and a syringe handle, configured to cooperate with one another in order to ensure a locking function between the injection syringe body and the syringe handle. The injection syringe body includes a longitudinal hub including at least one female or male retaining element, and a protective sheath moveable along said longitudinal hub and able to cover in a retracted position the at least one retaining element of the longitudinal hub. The syringe handle includes at least one male or female retaining element intended to cooperate with the at least one female or male retaining element of the longitudinal hub, ensuring a retaining function, the cooperation being named locking position. The syringe further includes at least one blocker, the at least one blocker ensuring a radial holding function when the retracted and the locking positions are both engaged.
Medical Delivery Assembly With Multi-Port Needle
A delivery assembly includes a console including a vial containment region and a vial engagement mechanism extending from the console within the vial containment region. The engagement mechanism is configured to engage a vial assembly including a particulate material. The delivery assembly further includes a multi-port needle with a top distal port and bottom proximal port(s), the needle configured to puncture a septum of the vial assembly when the vial assembly is in the locked position, in which the top distal port is at a distance above the particulate material in the vial assembly. The ports are configured to inject a fluid into the vial assembly to mix with the particulate material upon actuation of the vial engagement mechanism in a first direction and to receive a resulting mixed fluid from the vial assembly upon actuation of the vial engagement mechanism in a second opposite direction.
Medicament delivery devices
A medicament delivery device (100) for delivery of medicament from a cartridge (10) into an injection site, through a cannula (134). The cartridge has a medicament chamber (14) with an outlet (15), and a sealing element (16) for closing the outlet (15). The device has a housing (102) for receiving the cartridge (10), and a drive mechanism (200) to expel the medicament from the device upon activation of the drive mechanism (200). The device has a connection arrangement (199) comprising a hub (166) and spring means (184) for driving relative movement between the hub (166) and the cartridge (10) upon operation of an operating member (190). The operating member switches the connection arrangement (199) from an unconnected configuration to a connected configuration, in which the hub (166) cooperates with the cartridge (10) to open the outlet (15). When connected, fluid may flow between the chamber (14) and the cannula (134).
