Syringe Plunger Brace for Improved Aspiration and Injection
A syringe plunger loop for improved aspiration and injection is disclosed herein. Generally, the loop disclosed herein improves both aspiration and injection by providing stability to the aspiration or injection finger or thumb of the injector. The loop disclosed herein may be integrally attached to the plunger of the syringe. Alternatively, the loop may be a separate piece from the syringe that may be removably attached to the plunger.
COMPONENT FOR A SYRINGE AND SYRINGE
A component for a syringe is disclosed. The component has formed a structure which has a friction-reducing effect due to its shape in the syringe. The component can be, for example, a cylinder, a piston or a seal for the syringe. The structure comprises, for example, elevations or depressions which have a linear, punctiform, elliptical or polygonal design. Also disclosed is a syringe which has at least one such component. The use of a component with a friction-reducing structure makes it unnecessary to use an additional friction-reducing coating, for example silicone, which can lead to undesirable effects on the medicament to be administered with the syringe.
APPARATUS AND SYSTEM FOR FLUID DELIVERY
An apparatus for delivering fluid from a fluid container comprises a housing to which a fluid container is attachable, a slider movably disposed in the housing and a resilient having a first end connected to the housing and a second end connected to the slider. Upon receiving an external force, the slider moves relative to the housing from a first position toward a second position to deform the resilient member from an original state to a deformed state, and upon release of the external force, the resilient member is allowed to resume to the original state to move the slider toward the first position to urge the slider against the fluid container to deliver fluid from the fluid container under a constant fluid flow rate.
Syringe with selectable metering
A needle syringe has a plunger and a needle for filling and dispensing liquid from the cavity. The cavity has finger clip with movable locking pins. The plunger has at least one set of grooves corresponding to a specific dosage for the needle syringe, the specific dosage of the groove being demarked by a marking ledge that indicates a change to a deeper depth section of the groove. The locking pins are configured to rest in the at least one set of grooves, such that when the plunger is removed, the locking pins pass within a first shallow section of the groove, pass over the ledge, and continue to pass in the deeper depth section of the groove. When the plunger is depressed in a first partial dispensing movement, the locking pins pass in the deeper depth section of the groove until the plunger depression is temporarily locked when the locking pins reach the ledge, where the dose remaining in the cavity is the specific dosage.
Autoinjector having needle shield triggering
An autoinjector (100′) for expelling a single dose of a drug from a held cartridge (600) comprising a piston (630). The autoinjector includes a needle shield (350, 380′) axially movable from an initial extended position via a triggering position to a trigger release position. The needle shield (350, 380′) is operatively coupled to a plunger release element (320′, 1320) cooperating with a plunger (310, 400) to define a releasable retaining mechanism that retains the plunger release element (320′, 1320) threadedly engaged with a base thread component (204′, 1204) in a predefined relative rotational and axial position and against rotational bias provided by an actuator (330). The needle shield (350, 380′) is configured for operating the retaining mechanism to release the retaining of the plunger release element (320′, 1320) and the base thread component (204′, 1204) from the predefined relative rotational and axial position upon the needle shield (350, 380′) being moved into the trigger release position.
MIXING SYRINGE ASSEMBLY
A syringe assembly comprising a barrel for containing one or more medicaments, the barrel having a front outlet for allowing the expulsion of said one or more medicaments from the said barrel through said outlet, and a first stopper disposed in the barrel and axially moveable therein and defining a first volume in the barrel axially forwards of the first stopper and a second volume in the barrel axially rearwards of the first stopper. The first stopper has a two way valve that is moveable between a sealing configuration and an open configuration to selectively put the first volume in fluid communication with the second volume. The two way valve is moveable from the sealing configuration to the open configuration by an increase in fluid pressure in either of the first and second volumes. The syringe assembly additionally comprises a second stopper disposed in the barrel axially rearward of the first stopper and axially moveable therein, the second stopper providing a fluid tight seal at a rear end of the second volume. The syringe assembly further comprises a first plunger rod connected to the first stopper and extending axially rearwardly through the second stopper, the second stopper sealingly engaging with the first plunger rod but permitting axial sliding of the first plunger rod therethrough. The first plunger rod is axially moveable so as to axially move the first stopper and pressurise either of the first volume and second volume causing the two way valve to move into the open configuration and fluidly connect the first volume and second volume.
BIOLOGICS DELIVERY SYSTEM AND MODULAR TIP DESIGN
A method and apparatus for sealing a biologics delivery system, said applicator including two adjoining syringes, each having a barrel and an exit tube distal to the barrel, and an interchangeable delivery tip, having a delivery tip connector portion, and storage cap, each connectable to the exit tube of each barrel, and having a fixed internal O-ring for fluid-tight connection between the delivery tip and storage cap and said exit tube.
Shuttle Nib for Control of Stopper During Injection
A needleless injection system includes a pusher that pushes a plunger within a tapered bore of a cartridge. The pusher includes a nib, the tip of which is a ball.
Medicament training device with plunger limiting mechanism
Embodiments including an injection device having a housing with an outer surface, an inner surface, a proximal end and a distal end, and a defining a chamber extending between the proximal end and the distal end are provided herein. The device may include a plunger having a first end and a second end, the plunger being movable proximally and distally within the chamber of the housing, the plunger comprising a plunger rod extending from the first end to the second end of the plunger; and a plunger limiting mechanism configured to interface with the plunger rod, to limit the proximal movement of the plunger and prevent removal of the plunger from the housing.
ASPIRATION AND INJECTION DEVICE
An aspiration and injection device is provided that can allow for ergonomic, safe, and precise aspiration of a target site and ejection of a medicament to the target site. The device can include a syringe barrel, a flange extender couplable to the barrel, and plunger that can be engaged by a hand and/or one or more finger of a user to perform aspiration and injection at a target site.
